Nautica Voyage N-83

Basically a softer version of Joop Nightflight. Which is a very good thing. Although Nightflight had some strong moments, there was no getting away from that overwhelming tobacco and laundry detergent accord that could be too much for many. Voyage N-83 starts in a wonderfully fresh fashion. Just enough clean and softness to bring a smile to your face without stiffling the senses like Nightflight. The drydown is fresh with a little nutmeg to give a unusual yet attractive effect. A nice surprise and one I would happily have in my fragrance collection. Top marks for the first hour or so before it becomes a pleasant skin scent. Very relaxing and simply nice to those who smell it. 8/10

N-83 another flanker for the popular voyage is aquatic fresh, freshness is kinda minty and greeny fresh. The og is more citrusy fresh. But N-83 is clean and kinda soapy and suits all non loud environments, a non offensive wear all day. Still Abit synthetic but I feel it's not as synthetic as the og and how the og opens. Some of you will probably get the fruity vibes, kinda melon vibes. I think it's in similar territory as Versace Pour Homme but more musculine. Not too bad actually. To extend it's longetivity, do give it a few more sprays at the same spot, it'll help it last longer. After all N-83 is quite a budget scent so it's fine to overspray.

If you look at my profile, you can probably guess I like this fragrance. My first one, and it did not let down. I actually blind bought it because I had smelled the normal Nautica voyage before and imagined it to smell the same but in my surprise it was different, and in my opinion much better. It smells less synthetic, and has a nice dry down. Projection on me is like a 5.5/10 and longevity about a 8/10. It all really depends on skin chemistry but overall I would definitely recommend this fragrance for everyday, but it’s really versatile. Super fresh and just overall very good.

I generally stay away from blue scents because they seem common / generic / juvenile. Associated with jocks and sports. I know it’s an unfair bias and I’m working past it. That’s also why I’m happy this scent defied such hang-ups. Very similar to Abercrombie + Fitch’s Fierce; a guilty pleasure with how addictive they are. Hovers around med-light with leather, soft wood, and damp loam that balances its aquatic sweetness. Freshly out of the shower in a really appealing way. Not the most complex or classy, but still irresistible.

Perfect aquatic/aromatic scent to spray heavily and smell clean. I doubt this can become overpowering. Very pleasant aromatics, reminds me somewhat of a more basic Boss Infinite EDP. A fragrance to splash on in right after a cool summer shower, to respray during school breaker, etc. This may come out as a juvenile fragrance, but definitely something to make you smell good around the house and out during the warmer times of the year. Great price for the performance, and overall an amazing refreshing fragrance.

This fragance is one of those fragances that changes depending on how many sprays and the weather. When I first smelled it, it smelled like minty cucumber water with a strong green apple opening and some lavender in the drydown. Now thats its fall when i do 3+ spray the cardamom is kinda prominent along with the lavender with added freshness. Intially I didn't like it much but it grew onto me. Overall its a solid cheapie.

What I was looking for to buy because I wanted something fresh off the ocean yet smell fresh. For the price you can't go want and this I would recommend for a starter fresh out of the ocean smell due to the smell and price you can't go wrong with this. Not to strong once spray then when settled it's nice and fresh and yet still smell like the fresh ocean. Might buy the 3.4 oz once my 1.7 oz goes dry!

I hadn't worn this fragrance in over a year and when I saw the bottle at the back of the cabinet I thought, why not? Thirty minutes later I'm watching TV and thought to myself, man this Dylan Blue smells good. Then I remembered I was wearing Nautica N-83! Very similar sweet opening as Versace Dylan Blue and at a fraction of the price. Fresh modern scent and at a bargain price.

The person review below me is bang on. I couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s synthetic but not nauseating, and to me it’s a safe scent. It’s funny but I actually picture myself on a boat wearing this. Mission accomplished on Nauticas part. Like most of these scent though, they don’t last very long. I get about 4 hours. 6/10

This is how I imagine a sailor after shower comes down to the harbour to greet local folks. Smells amazing, more mature than original Nautica Voyage. Don't expect too much longevity tho so I recommend to overspray it.

Versace Pour Homme but much cheaper. Not a cheaper scent doh. Nautica could have charged at least 50$ with better marketing then reviews would have been better. Underrated gym 10 of 10

Everyone's skin chemistry and nose is different for sure, but my boyfriend wears this one and I actually really like it! I'd say 8/10. And very affordable.

More masculine and woody version of voyage, no cucumber scent and it doesn't smell like a cheap body gel. I am personally satisfied with this buy.

Is it “cucumber salad water?” Yes. Do I care? No. Older versions may have been better, but I have this and it hits the spot

Soooooo, i accidentally bought this last week while trying to purchase the original voyage and was not paying attention however im not displeased. It most certainly does not last a long time but smells quite nice and as stated before its unique enough to add to the collection. The synthetic soapy smell is a nice booster for when you hop out of the shower and realize you need to hit the store real quick to go pick up a few things for dinner or what have you. For me its the same idea as using aftershave when finishing up a fresh shave, it boosts and extends my fresh scent after a shower and leave me smelling clean and fresh for hours after. Its also a nice scent to apply if just lounging around the house watching TV all day. I would have to agree with the main notes that were voted on saying its sea notes, musk, and lavender. I can smell the musk for most of the life span on this fragrance (1-3 hours) and its pleasant enough to have me wear it on short trips to the store if im not wearing anything already and or half days out. I would not wear this to any special occasion as also stated. This frag isnt sophisticated enough to pull that off. This is a white T-shirt and shorts kinda frag and should be worn as such. A day hitting the boardwalk at a beach or a shopping strip is what this is for. Over all everything considered i would give this maybe a 5/10. It smells pleasant, lasts long enough to get the job done which is about 3 hours or so and its price point at only $15.00 USD on most websites for 100ML is what really saves this and makes it worth having in the collection even if not worn often. If this was priced at $60.00 or $70.00 i would tell you to run an never look back.

Not sure why this one is getting so much hate. My only assumption is that because it's a flanker of a critically acclaimed fragrance, people set their standards way too high when smelling this. This really isn't bad at all, in fact, I think it's pretty decent. Is it better than the original Voyage? Absolutely not, but I don't think this should be getting bashed as much as it is. This is essentially Nautica Voyage with a powerful lavender kick. The musk is notably more prominent in this one as well. This retains the clean, fresh, aquatic smell that the original has, just with a slightly more masculine edge to it. I also think this bears some similarities to Nautica Blue, mainly in the drydown. I believe this is marketed as Voyage's night-time equivalent, but this can be worn in the daytime just as easily. Like all of Nautica's fragrances, the performance is still very much lackluster. You're probably going to get 4 hours at the very best, wearing this. The scent stays very close to the skin too, possibly even more than the other Nautica fragrances. After an hour, the only way you're going to smell this is if you stick your nose directly onto your skin. Would I recommend this? No. It's not as bad as some people are making it out to be, but I still don't think it's that good overall. The smell is good, but the performance is pretty bad. I still recommend the original Voyage over this.

The ill-begotten brother of Nautica Voyage. The one that was forgotten or never even recognized. I accidentally purchased this early into my fragrance journey when trying to purchase the original Voyage. However, I am not displeased. I do wear this one, but it is not my go-to freshie (I prefer Chrome Legend over this one. No, they are not similar.) It is synthetic, yes, as others have stated. However, synthetic isn't always a bad thing. It's soapy and musky with a salty aquatic vibe. A little bit of fresh mint in there to cool it down a bit too. It's a sporty fragrance by nature, but not just for the gym. You can get away with this in casual clothes as well, but it is not to be dressed up. It is not refined and polished enough for that. You can wear it for just about any other warm-hot weather situation though. This is not a masterpiece, I would say it's not even great. However, for what you pay for it is a decent fragrance that lasts a good 5-6 hours and can get compliments. It might be a better fragrance if the original Voyage wasn't such a star, but alas, it is. Overall, I think it is decent. It's not a must-have in your collection, but it is worth owning if you are starting out and looking for some fragrances that can serve several purposes. Man do I love the opening, it does fade rather quickly though, wish I lasted like that throughout, but the dry down isn't bad at all. This leans more soapy lavender, fresh laundry type which I like and sits well with my skin chemistry, which is unexpected from the OG Voyage. I think I prefer this over the OG, it's a more versatile profile, I prefer OG on pool days where I'm near water, daily use wise, I will reach for this. Though I wonder how this will perform in spring & summer since it's negative degree snowy winter here. Doesn't project strongly I think, though I do get wafts of it from my wrists still at 3hr mark, so longevity isn't as bad as many people say, it does started to go into skin scent territory after hour 1, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think people are way too obsessed with "beast mode" that anything that doesn't hit you like a punch in the face = bad fragrance. Dudes, this is the type of scent that a lot of ladies like, not everything needs to be suffocating and Had this projected stronger and more "BeAsT mOde", people would start calling this offensive. I'm getting hooked on the opening, may get addicted and keep reapplying lol

So fresh and so clean It has a very clean shower gel smell with a little bit of mint accenting it's aquatic nature. The dry down is pure musk. Scent wise there is nothing not to like about it, I even appreciate it's understated bottle. Unfortunately the projection is barely an arm's length and the longevity is abysmal. I know it's a freshie and cheapie, 2 things that are not going to get you good performance, but this would be a great buy if it's opening and middle would last a little longer than 30 minutes (the dry down lingers for at best a couple of hours). I would say that it's pretty versatile, young and old can wear it and it's not overly masculine but it is more of a male scent. This is a part of my bedtime routine. I give a few sprays after I step out of the shower and into my sleep attire. I'm careful not to get any on me because the alcohol would dry my skin and make me look older. Scent: 7.5/10 Sillage: 4/10 Longevity: 2/10 Value: 6/10 Where to wear: summer days, at the gym, on the boat, around the house. Faux pas: not for the fall or winter, not for an evening out, not for those who want to be eatable.

The only thing cheap about N-83 is the price. The scent itself is great, an interesting mix of aquatic notes, spices, and herbal woods. At first there's a lot of alcohol but after a few seconds it's a blue forward scent, which one would expect from Nautica. As it dries down that's where the light spice and herbal woody notes come into play. It remains relatively fresh throughout wear but is sadly weak as far as projection and silage are concerned, at least in humid hot weather. You'd think this would be made for Summer but the heat kills any chance of it lasting beyond a skin scent and tends to distort the true fragrance. In colder weather though it performs well enough especially considering it costs about $11 a bottle. I find it shares some characteristics with Faconnable and Lalique Por Homme Lion in the dry down, N-83 however is more generic in nature than the other two. It's not going to win any awards or scream niche by any means if that sort of thing is important to you. Overall N-83 is a nice fresh men's fragrance with a throwback 90s style.

Nautica Voyage N-83 seems to get its fair share of criticism, and the assumption that this is due to the success of Nautica Voyage is fair, but in evaluating N-83 in its own right, it's an agreeable but obviously unimpressive aquatic. Still, it's pleasant in the way most aquatics are pleasant. The "marine notes" factor in prominently, along with lavender and musk, and even some cedar adding sweetness. Projection isn't bad, and longevity obviously leaves something to be desired, but given how cheap this is (I believe I bought a 100ml at Marshall's for $17 or $20), one can afford a few more sprays per wearing. As a side note, it's helpful to consider that there is a time and place for weaker fragrances. That N-83 isn't a projection monster or long-lasting can both be assets if you want to wear something lighter for work or just going out casually for a few hours but not be all over you when you go to bed. Certainly worth a spray to see if it's a cheap designer option that suits you---I certainly find it agreeable. 6 out of 10

The longevity on this is pretty bad. But it's a dirt cheap aquatic, so I don't know what else anyone would expect. It smells good though. If you've smelt the original, think that but less sweet and slightly "darker". And by "darker" I mean "less bright". It also doesn't project as well as the original. But you do get a decent little bubble for the first 30 to 40 minutes. I suggest you wear it heavy and spray your shirt. You won't offend anyone. It's a decent low low low priced high heat fragrance. EDIT Today is the first day that I've actually sprayed this on my shirt. If you're going to wear this, do that. Every time I think that the fragrance is gone, I'll turn around and just walk into a cloud of this. And it smells so good in the air. Not only is this clinging to my shirt, but it's projecting off my shirt. Far better than it ever has on skin.

Perhaps this has been reformulated, because it's not super weak on my skin - lasts about 4 hours. I don't pick up on the peppermint ; which is a good thing (not a huge fan) ... this is a very nice fresh citrus note (from the petitgrain) / clean body wash / summer scent , and does not contain the cucumber note for me, I hope that never comes through as it ages. Like others have said this is another shower gel / freshie frag -- isn't anything extraordinary, but for the price I think it's a good value for your money. Longevity on my skin would be about a 7/10 , but overall for price and its (everyday / universal use) during summer and spring - I would give this an 8/10.

Bought this for a steal with another frag on FragranceX. I prefer this over Nautica Voyage.Yes an aquatic/type aromatic sort of scent. Fresh and spicy with lavender being prominent throughout the wearing of this fragrance. I get a tiny bit of mint and cardamon with sandalwood and musk. It has some depth with a soapy vibe as it dries down. Lovely bottle and juice colour! Many say bad longevity? I get 5-7 hours as I stay hydrated and apply body lotion to my hands,wrists neck and arms which helps frags last on your skin. Top notes are sea notes, spicy mint and petitgrain; middle notes are cardamom, nutmeg and lavender; base notes are musk, sandalwood and cedar.

This is a very good begginer scent. Really fresh, clean, it smells good. I recomment this to someone who is young, and dont want to spent a lot on a fragrance. For the price, this smells very great, and when i first got it, i was amazed how good it smelled, although after some time, it did start to smell like salty cucumber as a lot of people say. Its performance is defenetively on the weaker side, its not good for winter, but for summer and warm weather it fits quite well. It has a longevity of around 4-5 hours and intimate sillage, not the best, but its good for the price, and if you are a father, i can reccomend to buy this for your son.

This is a blind buy. I don't know where the dislike is coming from. That's why I take fragrance reviews with a grain of salt. Scentwise, this one's quite pleasant. Most of the notes are accurate. Aquatic, fresh, salty and later on, slightly bitter. The sea notes, musk and lavender are the stars of the show here while the other notes are buried in obscurity. I haven't tried the original Voyage since I've read that it is similar to Kenneth Cole Reaction(makes me nauseous). I'm glad many say this has nothing to do with the original Voyage. Nice bottle too. :-)

In addition to some of the other Nautica flankers I've smelled in passing, I catch whiffs of Versace Pour Homme in this. Opening is slightly minty petitgrain and salty ozonic sea notes and an unlisted sharp citrus beyond the petitgrain; right off the bat it ends up smelling a bit more expensive than it is. In the heart it goes in a laundry detergent direction with aromatic lavender, cardamom, and nutmeg. The base is clean musky woods (sandalwood, and cedar to be specific). IMHO, this is better than the OG.

i picked this up for 20 bucks at ross today and i was pleasantly surprised ,i really enjoyed this fragrance and cant wait to use it in the summer months. Its a really good safe aquatic scent and to me, reminds exactly of Yves Saint Laurent Y Yves Saint Laurent , which you cant get for less than like 70-80 bucks right now even on ebay. performance and projections leave much to be desired but every fresh aquatic i buy never lasts more than 4-6 hours, period. it must be my chemistry idk

First initial blast is a mix of citrus and some sort of paint remover or something, which I don't really like it. Then after 15 mins or so, it settles down to a subtle-fresh citrus soapy smell. It's quite noticeable because it lingers from time to time. Based on my DRY skin Projection = below 1hr Longevity = 3-5hrs Wearabilty = Casual, ExerFreak and Work. Conclusion - LIKE because it's cheap and the drydown smell. Blind buy - Nope, pls try.

I got this for seventeen dollars at Macy's Backstage, mistaking it for the original Voyage. It's fresh and wet. Reminds me of the morning dew or coming out of the shower. Very simple and inoffensive, it's a great summer fragrance. However it doesn't last long and hardly projects at all; the only comment I've ever received on it was after a hug (I was told I smelled good).

N83 is a perfect flanker to the original Voyage. It's super fresh, clean, and the dry down is better than the OG. Just like the original Voyage I get great longevity and projection from N83, the key is not to overspray... 2 sprays on arms and 2 behind the ears or neck is plenty enough. While the OG is cucumber salty fresh this one feels sweet and modern.

I really like this fragrance. I wanted a fresh scent, akin to the ocean. It achieves that pretty well for the price. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last very long. Even with the Vaseline trick it faded to almost nothing after a few hours. So it’s best to spray right before walking into an event or expect to respray a few hours in.

Not much to say about this, but it's a clean / fresh scent that works well in the summer, or spring during the daytime. It's a safe office fragrance and a good price point. Will I re-buy? No. I'm not even sure I'll wear this that much, but it's a good buy if you want Versace Pour Homme but have a smaller budget.

Although this smells nice, like a fresh out of the shower body wash type of scent, the performance is terrible. With a dozen sprays, it has a soft skin scent sillage and lasts about 1-2 hours. The only place I could use this is the gym or running errands. Its cheap but just get the regular Nautica - Voyage.

I though I was getting the OG but I got N83. It has OG DNA but it is a little more watery. Not quite as sweet. Deffinately doesn't perform as good but smells wonderfull. The musk in the dry down sets it off. Overall good safe summer semi sweet scent. Scent 8.5/ 10 Longevity 4/10 Sillage 5/10 Price 10/10

I don't know how to start with this bottle of fragrance ....it is clean, fresh with an immensely overwhelming marine notes. don't hate it or don't like it either. Very moderate longevity. it is not memorable..smells more like cheap cologne available everywhere

As others have said it smells fresh,clean but so generic.It's just another aquatic with no personality at all and has the same quality as a supermarket cheap deo-spray (Axe,denim,etc) On my skin it has poor sillage and weak longevity...it's a pass for sure!

Nautica the king of the aquatics... I like this one.I have the original but this is not half bad! Was expecting something awful based on the reviews but I couldn't get to dislike it. It's fruitier in my opinion and can be worn by both sexes.

Very similar to original nautica voyage but it comes off more masculine. Pretty simple fragrance with ocean notes and slight woody notes. Worth the price but it does not project very well.

Bateman’s review below is spot on. I really like the smell of N83, fresh out of the shower-smell, but it’s soooo weak! 1-2 hours at most. Blind buy worthy, but not for full retail price.

This fragrance is my summer go-to, a nice fresh daily wear that smells like a clean shower gel. The performance is not too good, overall it’s a good fragrance for cheap.

perfect for hot and humid wheather of my country. my 2nd favourite after the OG. using it for working out. poor performance .. not a problem. just love the smell.
