Oud Luxuria

This started as me least favorite of the line, but quickly became my favorite as it wore on me. It does smell luxurious and it has that oud scent that just so delicately dances around the line of becoming barn-yard. I can't distinguish everything else in it, but maybe saffron. maybe the geranium well blended. Also, it is strong and lasting-lasting, but doesn't get heavy despite being an oud fragrance.

This is one of my favorite fragrances. High quality ingredients, for sure. A very addictive beautiful rose/oud scent with a bit of sweetness. I find it to be a luxurious scent with a special alluring vibe. Performance is great. I've received many compliments.. and most importantly, my wife loves this on me.

99% identical with Amouage Opus VI only stronger.

Navitus Parfums Oud Luxuria is one of the two oud-named fragrances in the original lineup of 7 releases from late last year. It immediately comes off as somewhat of an oud/rose mix, maybe two thirds oud, one third rose, with the oud being quite animalic, definitely a nod to oud lovers who enjoy the funky, slightly fecal tones oud notes. There is a bit of saffron and generic floral touch to it but I mainly get the rose, despite the inclusion of jasmine, osmanthus, and geranium in the listing of heart notes. There is a very faint sweetness, perhaps the red berries note, but it’s all but snuffed out by the very prominent oud/rose combination. As it dries down, it fittingly becomes less intense, though. Oud Luxuria is surely the most challenging to wear of the original seven in the Navitus collection. Oud Imperium, by contrast, is floral and musky and virtually lacks the very animalic side of the oud in Oud Luxuria. It’s a strong performer, as one might expect, with the prominent animalic oud. My main takeaway is that while the more animalic-leaning ouds are generally not my cup of tea, the quality of Oud Luxuria feels good, comparably smooth to some of the more animalic By Kilian oud-named offerings. Like Oud Imperium, Oud Luxuria is at a higher price point than the rest of the collection due to the cost of ingredients: $195 for 50ml, though it’s currently on sale on the Navitus website. Perfumology and Osswald NYC are boutiques in the US that carry the line, as well. 7 out of 10

This opens with a really skanky oud, which is just not my thing. I also get the leather note, which is very sexy. BUT...the dry down on this is a gorgeous rose. I can't yet detect the other floral notes in here, but I am getting the incense and amber, too. You can tell this contains high quality ingredients and the longevity is nuclear. If I liked oud more, I think I'd love this.

It's obvious to me that Stephen isn't a part of this company, rather he was simply sponsored by this Dubai based businessmen to capitalize on his viewers, and sell them Navitus fragrances. That didn't work out, and now they're offering them at half the price, lol. Now the guy with channel 'Gentscents' is doing the same thing, and guess what, the perfumers are the same guys who did Navitus, and again the company is based in dubai, just like with Navitus. I don't mind these things, but don't lie to your viewers and expect them to respect you again. The scent: So what I am getting is very herbal, animalic feces like oud, its spicy, almost poop like at first. Perhaps it would smell better if diluted. there is zero sweetness to it, the best way to describe this (and my girlfriend agrees on this), it smells like the water in olive cans - spicy, bitter, earthy. The scent is among the most powerful in my collection, just by having the sample open, it fills my living room. I sprayed it to the gym once and, what a mistake. I adore and appreciate oud fragrances, but I can't rock this one.

This is simply not wearable. The oud used here is Laotian Oud, which is the lowest wuality oud. It smells so faecel. This is the wrong interpretation of what oud is supposed to smell like, absolutely vile. Please don’t buy it, sample it, or even smell it for free, it might make your stomach turn.

Man this is strong ! generic oud rose with a nice fecal barnyard scent. Nothing ground breaking. Quality poor though apart from the bottle, liquid going cloudy even though its stored in dark cupboard at 5 degrees but does not seem to effect the scent. I would not recommend buying from Navitus if you are in the UK, it seems we are getting the old stuff that is failed any quality control if they have it. Navitus claim that if you are in the UK you will be purchasing from a third party, who i don't know as all receipts and confirmation emails come from Navitus. Steven and Buck Moore reputation are tarnished with this company.

I get the high quality of the fragrance, I really do but this is too challenging for me. I do like Oud as an element in fragrance but in this one Oud is the main note and it isn’t just any oud, it’s a very funky and even fecal oud, the rose gives it a nice touch and softens the strong funk in a real nice fashion. Great performance, great frag but it’s not the right fit for me.

This particular scent is one of the best Oud/Rose combos I’ve ever smelled!! The oud it’s pronounced, but not animalic at all!! I can’t speak for anyone else, but it’s wonderfully done, I Love It
