Soleil Matin

This is a lovely citrus and slightly fruity fragrance. This smells really good, but the jasmine makes this smell feminine leaning to my nose. This is giving a soapy, lightly floral, scent with citrus leading the way. This is ideally how I would love my fiance to smell out of the shower. There is a little sweetness, but only just enough so that it's still wearable in the summer. I love this. I would definitely recommend this to any woman.

This release from Navitus Parfum x Chaos, Soleil Matin, is a fresh and aptly blue-bottled fresh mix of citruses, ginger, pepper, jasmine, ambroxan, woods, and musk. It fits with the mold of a modern freshie, usually in a men’s line, but is reasonably rich and dense, a clear easy winner. There’s also a musky sweetness to it, likely due to the opening citruses themselves, as it fades somewhat. And fittingly, it does not feel like any one citrus is dominant, but rather that it’s a bit of an ensemble, as the listed top includes mandarin, lime, orange, grapefruit, and lemon. Still, it’s not all that tart, even with the inclusion of lemon and grapefruit, leaning rather fresh and somewhat sweet, instead. With the pepper and ginger, there is certainly some spiciness, but this never overtakes the citrus, but rather exists in harmony with the citruses, slowly giving way to the woody, musky, smooth dry down. Soleil Matin, like most of the Navitus Parfums releases that came before it, is priced at $195 for 100ml, under the $2/ml line that I usual regard as very reasonable for niche/independent perfumery. While well-executed, Soleil Matin is a notch below Reve Nuit in terms of creativity and provocativeness, but it’s nonetheless an agreeable, reasonably strong-performing freshie, something that anyone could enjoy, even though it fits more stereotypically as a men’s warm weather scent. Absolutely worth trying as anyone could love this. It’s likely closest to Elation as far as prior Navitus releases. 7 out of 10

This smells like if MFK created a version of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche; same scent, but much higher quality. It's as if the Allure Homme married up with Carven L'Eau Intense, which is another MFK/Jérôme di Marino collaboration. Fresh, creamy, citrusy, sweet, musky. If you like Allure Homme Edition Blanche, you'll love this.

Awesome citrus fresh fragrance that lasts! Amazing burst of a citrus combo smell in the opening and it slowly dries down to a woody, musky and smooth drydown. Kind of reminds me of Chanel Allure Homme Sport's dry down a little. Lasts 8+ hours!
