Erauso

I love this...it's so unusual. I own plenty of rose perfumes, but this is the one I reach for when I want something genuinely different. Is it a bit difficult? yes...it's intense and smoky, with medicinal, phenolic and terpenic facets that can feel almost abrasive. At the same time, it is fruity, honeyed and distinctly feminine, moving between beauty and discomfort, familiar yet completely strange. It absolutely evokes the story behind the perfume for me - a woman determined to defy the life prescribed for her, however violent, chaotic and adventurous the path became. This isn't for everyone, and I don't think it's trying to be. But I appreciate having this bottle in my collection because it is evocative not only in scent, but in the story it tells.

This stuff starts loud. 2 sprays and it filled the room. Wife was not happy when I strolled through the house. Starting with a nice smoky fig and very pleasant dry down. This is certainly likable and worthy of your time. At least in a sample, which I have. The patchouli stands out in the dry down for me. Not something I would wear. Leans a tad feminine. Would love it for my wife but she wasn't a fan. No worries. I did enjoy the sample and many of the offerings from this house. Miguel Matos is a genius.
