Then the drydown was something that made me think about exploring the fragrance more, being soft and inviting. Now that it's autumn and below 20C, I find that the greener muskier soapy facet is showing more.

Vintage animalic & modern natural peony soap. I really wonder who voted on the notes above! There isn't any green notes! it's peony, soap, orange, yuzu, honey, oakmoss, civit, & narcissus. It starts vintage animalic with doses of civit, honey, and oakmoss just like "La Nuit" by Paco Rabanne with it's vintage look, structure, and smell, then goes quite soapy floral, citrus, and musky like "Pure Mariposa" by Ramon Monegal but minus the sweetness of figs & within a vintage structure, and then it whiffs and swings around between Ramon, & Paco. To be honest, i was expecting more of this fragrance since it is inspired by the last fragrance Jean-Baptiste created in movie "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer"! i expected something more complex, something more animalic like "Salome" by Papillon blended with "Sex & the sea" by Francesca Bianchi & crushed underneath "Scent of Hope" by DSH mixed with "Odor 93" by Meo Fusciuni for instance! "Swoon" could be one of the 12 perfumes Jean-Baptiste created but not the 13th! i believe if he added some hints of dates, satin, henna, and tobacco it would have changed the scene and twist it to meet the 13th perfume. Now i don't mean that this fragrance is bad or something, it is quite good and impressive but doesn't meet the last scene of that movie! ironically, when i wore this fragrance, my dad asked me "Are you wearing Santos by Cartier"! After all, it is a great fragrance and is impressive for heavy vintage lovers. Edit (2nd Oct 2019) This is a very soapy musky blend, peony is quite obvious, and the soapy musky mix is conquering the scene. When i first sprayed it it went greenish and civet for a while but after 3 mins in it turned quite soapy musky and peony. This could be "Laura" or "The Plum" girl scent but not the 13th. It's not an amazing groundbreaking blend although i had high hopes, but it's cute after all.

This is inspired by Perfume: The Story of a Murderer; in particular the orgy scene, in which Neil Morris tries to capture what the people are experiencing... Can't wait to try this!
