Musk Amber

Musk Amber is a nice cozy perfume oil for colder weather that isn't too strong and stays close to the skin. From the rollerball it smells sweet and almost a little fresh to me which is why I bought it in the first place, but it surprised me with a smoky, incense type of note that revealed itself when I applied it on my skin. Even though I didn't expect this from Musk Amber, I still like it a lot and I think it could be an easy, affordable starting point for easing into oriental fragrance profiles because of that note. Not to be confused with Nemat's Amber or White Musk, which are different from Musk Amber in scent and colour (Musk Amber has an amber colour and the other two are colourless oils).

Pure deliciousness. While it's an easy choice for cooler months, I first purchased and wore it in the sticky heat of summer, and that remains my favorite season to wear. This is an uncomplicated scent to love: it's sweet but not sickly, inviting but not overbearing. It somehow both projects a cloud around me and feels sensually intimate, perhaps because of how beautifully it sinks into the skin. While it's not my top choice for every day (I change moods often), I still reach for it often at bedtime.

Smelled this at ulta max and tested it out for the day First off its not the nemat amber everyone's talking about this has earthy notes I also compared the two and this one is much stronger Now to describe it- sweet slightly , sensual spicy and woody almost like spicy honey so don't let the earth notes scare you but it's definitely not for the faint of heart This one's definitely an exotic beauty though I applied it 5 hours ago and it's still strong but sweeter Rating 10/10 Spicy and sweet

If I had to choose my "signature scent" it would be Nemat Musk Amber. I layer this with EVERYTHING, and I have for years. It's sort of strange right out of the bottle but once it develops on the skin its a beautiful musky, sweet, semi smoky scent. Pairs well with everything, day or night, all seasons. If you had to bottle me into a perfume, I would smell just like this. I <3 you forever musk amber!

Words cannot describe how much I loved this fragrance upon smelling it for the first time. It's spicy, kind of like incense with the warm amber and musk. I like to layer this with Nest's Madagascar Vanilla to get those luxury, spiced vibes. Very warm fragrance! This lasts for hours and can be smelled on clothes after days of wearing it. I love this stuff with my whole heart.

This is soooo good. It’s a resinous spicy sorta masculine musky amber that helps bring down sweet gourmands to ground them and make a really sophisticated and androgynous combo. It’s so good with vanilla! This does NOT smell like dedcool milk this smells spicy and masculine. It’s softly spicy but still spicy. I love it so much and it lasts all day.

This may be my favorite Nemat product of all time. It's such a unique amber. Sweet, earthy, musky (of course), resinous, but it's gotten something different about it. She has a little edge, some grit-- probably patchouli oil in here. While on paper she may read generic, but I think she's very "less is more".

It reminds me of a few smells: fresh tree sap, mossy evergreen campsites, mild incense, and a very subtle sweetness that resembles marshmallow to me. It lasts forever if I put it on my elbows. Good on its own but it goes very well with vanilla and tea-based fragrances I have.

Wore this out and got non stop compliments on how good I smelled, so that’s a plus. It starts strong and musky but as it lingers on the skin, it fades into a comforting spicy and sweet scent. Dirty but fresh, the smell feels almost lived in. One of my favorites.

this has been my signature scent for years! i do sometimes get a little nose blind to it but i usually get compliments when i wear this so i can assume the projection is decent. amazing for the price but i do wish it came in an edp version as well as the oil

Finally dropped below 50°F and I was sooo excited to wear this. Not my signature scent but very close to it! It's so simple, and warm and cozy. Love it, and very easy to dab on my wrists and behind my ears while heading out of the house.

It's too bad the reviews are getting this and "Amber" mixed up. This is NOT the one that smells like Dedcool milk. I have both lol

Smells sweet, musky, and resiny. I get a little bit of the earthy note but not much. A perfect, basic everyday scent

This is a quality scent that's easy to wear. There's really not a whole lot to it, the name states the most forward notes, but it does have a honey-like sweetness, and a frankincense note that really adds a great dark edge, making this scent more flexible for night-time. As oils tend to, this lasts a while, but the projection is lacking. I really like adding this to my moisturizer, and it'll work really well when layered with like or amber-woody scents, though the incense note can be a pretty big interference with other fragrances. I like that incense note the most, the earthiness really stands out. The price point is just okay, especially comparing it to other Middle-Eastern style oil perfumes. Scent- 8.5 simple, well blended and very smooth Performance- 6.5 almost below- average for an oil, low projection but high longevity Other notes- good for cautious layering Blind Buy- soft yes. Easy to wear but not cost efficient(9$ for a 1/3 oz is considered cheap for this brand). This could be a good introductory scent for those wanting to learn about oil perfumes and Mid-East/Indian perfumery styles.

This is the kind of scent that sticks with you literally and becomes a part of your DNA in a way... It’s nicely potent and easy to apply yet light enough that you can't go overboard with it and it’s not an issue. Sticks to your clothes for a while and layers well with literally everything to give your scent some depth. The jojoba oil base is moisturizing and easy to apply and the scent develops well from the heat of your body. I got this because someone said it’s a cheaper dupe of Essential Faith and while I agree, I still prefer Essential Faith which gives a lighter, more sweet almost floral, and natural musk scent. This one is a resiny almost smoky amber musk that can smell artificial at times. It lasts well and has a positive impact on my mood. CF, VG, and BDS Safe

I sampled this on my skin earlier today. So far it smells like a feminine person wearing natural perfume, and their dog, both relatively clean, were playing in a fountain at a festival, then took some of the water and concentrated it, and tried to make it smell cleaner. In a good way. It keeps feeling uncomfortably intimate. It’s interesting. Being uncomfortable is part of the fun. I tested nemat’s vanilla musk, amber, and egyptian musk along with it. I’m not sure which of them were causing this, but sooner after putting them on I was smelling something “green and milky”. I love vanilla musk, I’m probably going to buy that one. I’m considering buying musk amber with it.

It's just pine-y amber scent with a musk and sandalwood base. Not nearly as sweet as Nemat Musk (that is a very sweet musk that reminds of cocoa). It has the same "hippy" incense scent that you feel whenever you enter na Indian shop, with dozens of different incense boxes of different scents, but somehow the chaotic mix smell good. Although I absolutely love Nemat oils I consider them as aromatherapy oils, not as perfumes.

Moderately spicy amber with a fuzzy musk, I caught whiffs of it when I was walking around and felt it projected off me fairly well (I only swiped once and dabbed on both wrists). I think the tester has probably benefitted from aging. It was still going strong about 5 hrs later, when I showered, so I think it would have lasted 8+. I like it, but think it could be a little overwhelming in hot weather.

This is sweet, warm and cozy, but well balanced with spicy and vaguely soapy undertones. It smells kind of edible, but not *too* edible. Its youthful and feminine but not juvenile. It suits my whimsigoth adjacent aesthetic

I thought I didn't like this– its a very loud amber and earth perfume oil that takes up the whole room. I find this scent masculine leaning, so I gave it to my boyfriend. It smells so much better on him.

I thought I didn’t like this until I layered it with Nemats vanilla musk - if you like vanilla musk, try layering this on top for a super addictive scent.

Good amber smell that is great for layering

A lot of people have a lot of love for this fragrance, and I can see (smell) why. But for me, it’s far far too sweet. It turns my stomach slightly. Like others have said though, it’s good for layering (the only way I can tolerate it.) The quality is pretty darn good esp for the price.

At the very least, you can smell Amber; Many amber scents lack any spicy, resinous character. This one is on the slightly dirtier, or partially-clean side. It would have made a bigger impression on me had I not already owned Ambre Sultan and Grand Soir. Still, good value for money.

Musk Amber is a little bit sweeter than expected, but it's more amber than their white Amber oil, so I like it. Earthy, woody, sharp, with just the right amount of powder... it's a more loosely put-together amber accord than most perfumes though, so not recommended for amber lovers. I can sense all the separate components too easily, whereas Kuumba Made's Amber Paste at the same price point feels believable, spreadable and delicious.

I actually super loved the smell of this one, I found it very intoxicating. But unfortunately within 10 minutes of wearing it I got a red itchy reaction, and I’ve never really had a reaction to anything like that, including any of the other nemat oils. Very sad, but unfortunately not for me.

Unfortunately, this one does not suit my skin. From the start to end this one keeps on smelling like a bad-smelling sock. I'd stick with their Dahn al-oudh (that one is intoxicating!!!)

I was very harsh with my last review regarding this scent when I said I'd never purchase from Nemat again because their customer service was poor when I addressed having an allergic reaction from this specific oil. I revoke that sentiment. I left this bottle to age for years in hopes that aging the oil would help (but also because I just didnt want to touch it again, frankly). I picked it up recently to try again, and it still disappoints. I don't smell any warmth or amber in this. It's just MUSK akin to laundry. Vanilla Musk is musky as hell too but the vanilla complements and softens it. This "amber" adds nothing to this. I can only really tolerate this being dropped into my diffuser because it just smells more like something that can freshen up a room than really something to wear. More power to you if you can make this work for you.

This is my fourth bottle from Nemat and probably my last, at least in terms of trying different scents. This smells painfully synthetic and cheap- I don't find this wearable, just painfully cloying and headache-inducing. It caused a terrible reaction on my skin that I have never experienced on ANYTHING i have ever worn in my entire life. Made my whole neck a red patchy mess. I had to spray something to stop it from getting worse and wash the area that i originally applied it on. Not sure if this was a bad batch or my skin was just being fussy but this is enough to deter me from purchasing any more unique oils from this company- sorry.

Ok. So, I'm not a dupe girl - straight up. I have one dua brand fragrance in my collection - a De Los Santos cover - and it is a total fluke. Truthfully, it's noticeably different from the OG, I just prefer it. But I am radically compelled to come here today and share this because I am feeling a little crazy. I had, until very recently, been on a decades long hunt for my perfect vanilla and very recently found it in Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac. Unreal - sweet, a little fonky from the amber/leather/castoreum, complex while not being too much of any one thing. Creamy, soft, a liiiiitle bit dirty but only just. Perfect. One sniff and it bewitched me body and soul you feel me? There are others I love - do not get me wrong - but this is in the number one all time spot if forced to choose. So, I'm at ULTA yesterday to buy a giftcard. I'm waiting in line it's taking a super long time so I'm poking around in all of the mini stuff they have right there - travel sized things. They have a bunch of the Nemat oils there too so I start sniffing them. I pick this one up - MUSK AMBER - and I swear to god. I did the thing where you snuff your nose out in little puffs to make sure there's no other rogue perfume vapor in there and sniffed it like 20 more times. Guys, it's the same - like, THE same. I could maybe say that in the open of AA, there is a stiffness of the "leather" that lasts about 12 seconds and then slides right back in line with the MA - on skin. Am I crazy? I have to know? Also worth noting that Absolute Aphrodisiac lasts maybe 2-3 hours on me then it is gone and i mean GONE. I get maybe another hour on clothes and that's if I sprrrrray and for $410/bottle each spray pinches a little. I do it because I love you and that's what you're for but still ouch. I, of course, bought the little rollerball right then and took it home for a side-by-side. Left nostril right nostril - same. Left wrist right wrist - same. And, again, this is by no means a "don't buy the Initio this other thing is way cheaper". Absolute Aphrodisiac is pure perfection and will be my sweetest thing forever. I am more just wondering - can there be such thing as a doppelganger of smell? I'm losing my mind over how the same these are.

When I first smelled all of the Nemat fragrances that come in their discovery set, this one excited me the most: a rich, deep musky amber, and on first open of the bottle, quite smokey, like incense. Almost ceremonial... a pharaoh's tomb. I wore it a couple times and it read very vanilla on me, which I enjoyed, because I had recently confirmed that actual vanilla fragrances don't develop the best on my skin. It was cool to recreate a vanilla effect without needing the vanilla itself. I bought the discovery set in the springtime and figured I would reach for this one more during the winter as a casual scent. Well, come wintertime, now. This stuff has noticeably changed since opening it 8 months ago. Maturation has made it extraordinarily sweet – almost sickly so. The richness is still there, but maybe not the depth. The incense note is nowhere to be found. After trying to wear it both alone and with my very woody Bois de Balincourt, I realized I could not inject any enjoyment back into wearing it, cloyingly sweet as it is now. I brought it to the Christmas Eve function and asked my 19yo cousin if she liked it, and she did ("Ooh, yummy!"), so I gave it to her. The joy I got from giving her something that she liked was much more gratifying than any joy I would get from simply having it in my collection. The little roller bottle with its gold cap and labeling is just darling, especially with the oil's dark amber color, but...oxygen, man. Really changes everything!

I have been very into oils lately, with Nemat oils being some of my favorites. I also like their Amber perfume oil, so I decided to try their Musk Amber. Unlike their actual Amber oil which is a slightly woody, white musk, this is more of a traditional dark brown, rich, sweet type of amber - but nowhere sweet as Kuumba Made Amber Paste. This is a more sandalwood based amber, with nuances of frankincense and myrrh, along with some honeyed sweetness. If you just smell the oil in the bottle, it will smell very woody, which I was initially put off by. However, once on the skin it warms, mellows, and turns into a very nice and gentle amber scent. I just get touches of the musk, and they remind me of the dry down to the other Amber oil I mentioned above. I am pretty hooked on the scent already, and this is going to be a staple for me when it gets colder! If you like amber, it might be worth trying. Edit: I wanted to add that this oil is a bit head shop-y, so if that's not your thing, you might want to try before you buy, if possible.

My latest Nemat purchase following multiple buys of amber and arabian wood. Its an extremely comforting, cozy scent, a very placid cloud of candied musk with some resinous tang behind it. The sweetness reminds me of Kuumba Made amber paste. Many have described the sweetness as honey like which I can understand, though it is a dry sweetness, not cloying and syrupy as I find most "honey-like" perfumes to be. There is an synthetic undertone when sniffed too closely, but for the price it is relatively inoffensive, it's just a sort of round artificialness that appears when you plant your nose into it. When smelled at normal proximity, it reminds me a lot of Lush's Lord of Misrule, sweet and resinous with just the right amount of spice. I think this oil is definitely distinct enough to wear alone and doesnt come off as too simple or overdone. Decent projection and longevity.

Dead-unisex, long lasting, and remarkable value. Very suitable for daily wear. This is a very timeless amber accord, good for those who love Grand Soir (MFK) or Ambre Sultan (SL). But wow you don’t have to spend a fortune for it! Also very easy to wear. The roll-on just lingers on skin and clothes all day, it creates an intimate scent bubble that’s so captivating. As others described, you’d probably have to fit the image of some ‘mystic’ being to pull this off, I’d say you could be an average Joe and still smell incredible. 9/10. Killer value, all day performance, stable, modest but unique smell.

I naively hoped this was going to simply be a richer, maybe "spicier" version of their Amber, but it is definitely not that lol. Very earthy. Not in a bad way, it's just not for me personally. I could see myself enjoying this on someone else but it's not what I want to smell like. I should have read the reviews here first, if I had seen the three most recent reviews saying "patchouli" I probably would've known it wasn't for me

The woman wearing this will insist on giving you a tarot reading. You reluctantly agree and sit patiently as she gesticulates wildly, her chewed finger tips motioning towards your clogged chakras. You catch whiffs of Musk Amber, and its powerful resinous scent throws you under her authoritative spell. A whole hour and eighty bucks later, you stumble home wondering what the heck just happened.

i've been complimented by strangers in public multiple times when wearing this. to me, this is my idea of a skin scent. spicy, musky, ambery, works better at nighttime or in colder months tbh. i could drench my whole body in this. i reach for this when i'm feeling warm and spicy. could easily be mistaken as a patchouli scent even though there's none featured in this.

Wow! This is really nice. It's a true musk, with shamamatul amber, patchouli, and a chandan base. The musk is certainly funky and earthy, but I love it. I am curious to see how this dries down. Will update, when it does.

My friend wears this. I smell sandalwood and amber. At first I thought she had on Rapture or Amber Romance. So I guess it's a powdery amber, sandalwood, musk mixture.
