White Musk

Let this sit!! I have had mine hibernating in a drawer for about three months and it has a smell now!! I’m not a musk fan, basically ever. I feel like I can skip it, or it needs to be PERFECTLY blended for me to feel anything other than indifference for it. This one is different though. It’s a clean, squeaky clean, delicate almost white floral. It smells like the world’s bougie-est laundry detergent. I fell in love with the tester from Ulta and got this quickly there after. But like the majority of people it had almost no smell. Aging it has worked! Already it smells closer to the tester. It’s just an addictive scent, I was to smell my arm all day. I will let it sit another 3 (maybe even 6?) months and I’ll try it again. 3 months on (roughly) - really getting to where I want it to be. I was sniffing my wrist reflexively, so pleased this is developing the way it is!!! I’m going to leave it alone until summer... ❤️

I just received this oil this morning. It's really clean and beautiful smelling like fresh skin. I can't smell anything when I first put it on, but about ten minutes later it blooms on me. There is a mild sweetness to this musk and some woodiness at times, but I would say it's fairly unisex in its effect. The White Musk amplifies the feeling of being fresh and clean. My husband complemented me, but more so that I smelled good than on the perfume itself. I find that's the case with oils. The focus is on the wearer and how good they smell versus how good the perfume smells. I have other Nemat Oils and oils from Auric Blends and other companies and generally people are aware that you smell good, but they aren't necessarily aware of the perfume. They think you just naturally smell that good! Lately my oils have been getting more play than my regular fragrances.

oh! so this is the iso-e-super i've been hearing so much about! i get it now. funny that so many people are saying they're anosmic to this. i got the nemat discovery kit mostly bc i had heard so much about amber from the line. tried that one first and was so disappointed that i couldn't smell anything at all. this, however, shockingly stood out to me. it smells like "nothing" in a fantastic way. like someone said in an earlier review, it smells like water. more specifically, it smells like cold, sweet, water. the kind of water that tastes like it might contain sugar. and of course, it's wonderful to layer with. today, i'm wearing it with essential parfums' patchouli mania and it pulls out a refreshing sweetness in an otherwise bitter fragrance. j'adore!!

I LOVE this musk- it’s a clean, warm skin scent that you can dress up or down, depending on what you layer it with. After showering, I sometimes add a few drops to my lotion & also put a few drops in my hair. I shower at night so by the time I wake up, the oil has kind of “set” into my skin & the remaining scent makes me smell like I’m just effortlessly clean & fresh. This is one of those scents that, even if you put a lot on, it’s going to be really hard to overwhelm anyone with. At the end of the day, it’s still going to just be a close skin scent. For me, that’s a plus, but I understand that’s not what everyone’s looking for in a perfume.

This is exactly the musk I have been looking for. To me, it's a clean skin scent without being either too sweet or or too detergent-y. Like many others have said, it smells like nothing, but like good nothing. I spent yesterday trying out tons of fragrances on my arms and woke up this morning with little desire to spray anything on myself, so I went for this instead. At this price point, its such an easy reach and also perfect to carry around in my purse. I bet it would be great for layering as well.

I love this. I purchased the Nemat discovery set and this is my favorite. I usually put it on after I shower at night, then apply another perfume in the morning. White Musk layers beautifully with all my other fragrances. I highly recommend the Nemat discovery set. It is a really good deal. The samples are a good size and last forever. I like all the fragrances in the set, but if I had to rank them: (1) white musk, (2) tie between vanilla musk & amber, (3) egyptian musk, (4) musk amber.

The perfect base for layering any musk/"your skin but better"/clean perfume. Its great to put on immediately out the shower especially on the top of the head/nape of neck. Putting this on before spraying clean skin classic, phlur missing person, kayali musk 12(rest in peace) or narcisso rodriguez pure musc. It smells like the top of a baby's head. Pure clean fresh skin. It elevates any skin perfume you wear and helps it last longer, very underrated, i hope nemat doesnt discontinue it🙏🏼.

i love this one so much. powdery but not in a vintage perfume way, soft, super sensual, smells like your skin but better, clean laundry but not in a nauseating way. i love wearing this when i’m doing any type of activity that’ll make me sweat because i feel like my body heat makes it project better, i won’t smell much when i put it on but the moment my body heats up it’s all i can smell. this layered with nemat amber at night makes for a super sexy mix

i absolutely adore this!!! at first i got kind of scared and left the store because it didn't really smell like anything but then it dried and it smelled like a hug from someone you love. it's so clean and fresh without being too soapy. i get the woody note too, it's very layered for a musk. this just smells so familiar to me, like a distant memory. anyways, i went back and bought it like 5 seconds after leaving. totally obsessed rn <3

This perfume oil is not one you will catch right up close with your nose up to it. It’s one that people around you will enjoy though. You’ll catch whiffs of it that float in and out like a cuddly ghost. I really like it blended with Egyptian Musk by the same brand. Definitely worth the price. Unisex in my opinion. Would smell great on anyone. I would even dare to say it makes me feel sexy.

Perfect. Simple. This is exactly what I think of when I think of white musk. Great as a standalone or for a base. Layer with simple fleeting top notes or body mist style perfume. I'll carry it around in my purse forever as long as I live.

Completely transparent. A little like baby shampoo and the steam from a bath. Not soapy or powdery, or really musky even. My eyes feel heavy when I wear it and I will always have a bottle of this to wear to bed. It lasts a long time.

This smells very similar to Jovan Musk. It's got the same hydroxycitronellol, Florol, benzyl acetate, hedione, Sandela/sandalore, galaxolide/tonalide/musk ketone scent.

This smells very much like Persian Garden from Kuumba Made, and it took me quite some time to formulate my entire thoughts on this...but that was my immediate and primary impression and continues to be. Quite honestly, I wonder if a perfumer is in common in the creation of Persian Garden and this. I think PG is slightly more floral, this is decidedly musky with little else at all, and very classically unisex (who cares though, wear what you like). It has an almost lotion-y feel to it...but not all of the time. I was partially hindered in writing this (I've gone back and tested this a few times) because sometimes my nose loses track of the fragrance entirely. Other times, I'll turn around and walk back through my own scent trail only to get blindsided by a lovely sillage. If people around you can smell you passing, and smell this as intended, I think it's actually a "head turner" (I don't love that term, but in this case it works). It's understandable how people are being complimented on this, but the reports of - "I don't smell anything/it smells like water!" are also very understandable. I believe people who report that it's Iso E Super, because I smell Molecule 01 a fraction of the time, but when I do, it's gorgeous, and that is precisely how I detect this. Persian Garden is a similar experience, I lose the full picture, but I'm usually at least aware of some floral nuance on my skin when I wear it. This is why I own PG, but won't purchase this, because although I really enjoy this, I don't smell it whatsoever a portion of the time, but I can smell PG somewhat all of the time due only to the light florals. Hopefully that makes sense...this is one of the most difficult reviews/comparisons I've ever made 🤣 Overall, this is a very good soft, silky clean musk. It deserves it's cult following, and if you happen to smell it without going anosmic half of the time (or more) I'm jealous! Not a safe blind buy because people are prone to perceiving musky, molecular fragrances very differently.

Absolutely lovely.. Clean, white musk. Inoffensive and just clean musk! I adore it! My only gripe is that I wish it projected better. This is extremely intimate. A whisper of a sillage. Unless someone is pressed up against you and sniffing you, they will never notice this.. Well, maybe. Maybe some might be able to pick it up around your immediate scent bubble but I find it unlikely! For my first Nemat oil fragrance, I'm thoroughly impressed, though I am looking into their more powerhouse frag oils from here on. White Musk is amazing in terms of the fragrance I just so, so wish it projected even just a LITTLE bit more. Perfect cozy, clean, bedtime scent though! Smells like clean, cottony laundry and freshly washed skin (My favorite! lol), big plus!

One of the cleanest and smoothest musk scents I`ve ever smelled, soft to almost subconscious perception. The scent of freshly washed and hot pressed white bed linen in a spick and span clean bedroom, but without any harsh soapiness or perfumy powder. It really just smells... clean. Makes a great clean scent if you don`t like loud or too complex fragrances or the environment you move in demands for moderation in your fragrance choice. I could also see this as a great base if you like layering fragrances. Great for any climate, any time of the day, any season. Absolutely unisex

I like this, obviously this is quite possibly the most inoffensive DNA to exist lol. I'm glad I can smell this, as I can't smell Nemat's Amber oil at all... it's good to have an oil of the same DNA. Perfect for a day I don't feel like smelling like anything, but don't want to feel naked without wearing a fragrance. Identical to Dedcool's Xtra Milk, I like to layer it, so they boost each other's warm comforting musk. So, cozy. A nice bedtime scent too.

I really like this scent! it's soft, powdery, and has a creamy note that I really enjoy. I can't stop sniffing my wrist, but I will say the scent fades with every minute that passes. I sampled this with egyptian musk, and that has a much longer lasting scent trail than this, even though I like white musk more. I think it stays pretty close to the body, but I will definitely be wearing this more often; it's so cozy and clean.

I totally agree with photojenchick, this is an ISO E Super centered oil with some white musk in the background to soften the woodsy edges. I know it’s not considered cultured and fancy to like the molecule in question, but I’m a sucker for it, so sue me! I wear this oil after a hot and steamy bath, the softness of it makes me feel extra clean and pampered. It’s great for layering as well.

I received a sample of this one with my order. straight out of the phial it smells like nothing, but when i apply it on the body it gives a clean and pleasant scent that wears very close and intimate, like skin after a shower. this one would be great to layer up and soften other more masculine scents, i regret not ordering the full size.

out of the bottle it smells like nothing but once this hits skin it's very noticable to me. It smells soapy and aldehydic- kind of reminds me of the drydown to Bubble Bath by MM but far more fluffy and intimate. I understand the "linen-y" description. I might start wearing this in the office since it's very inoffensive.

This is such a great layering tool for white floral fragrances. It really gives the fragrance oil in your perfume something to “stick to” so to speak. Longevity is solid for something that smells so light and clean. At less than $20, this is a killer value.

I bought this and, after reading a lot of the reviews (on this site and others), I think this musk must be very watered down or of a variety that many people are anosmic to. I'm very familiar with perfume oils and musks and know they often need time to rest, and also to bloom on the skin but I've let this one rest for weeks, kept it in a warm place, taken the cap off..... and I can just barely smell the faintest hint of a slightly warm, woody carrier oil when I put my face right up to my arm where I applied the scent. I asked my husband, daughter and a friend and they all felt the same- there's nothing there. So buy at your own risk.

it's okay. i like what a previous reviewer said about it smelling like a hug from someone you love. after having soaked in some bath salts i like to apply this, i think it amplifies the clean smell. i mean, i can't really tell it apart from my skin.. scentless apprentice blah blah. layer it!

Much like when I tested JHAG’s Not a Perfume, I didn’t notice a thing when I tested it on my skin. This hasn’t discouraged me from testing the other scents from this house whenever I encounter them though. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this unless you prefer less prominent scents.

I'm a big big white musk fan, and while this smell is nice, it's almost invisible. I can barely smell anything on my arm when I apply the oil. Too bad, I was excited about this. Also find their vanilla musk to be a very quiet, almost watered down fragrance.

I can barely smell it. Used it as body oil that was very moisturising. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as a perfume product.

This is a very intimate scent. I definitely get the sweet vibes, but not so much woody. It isn't very strong on my skin.

I love the amber musk oil so bought the Nemat sample pack. The white musk I literally cannot smell at all. I’ll use up the sample to layer other perfumes on but will stick with the beauty of the amber oil in the future!

Of the 5 scents that are available in the Nemat discovery set, this one had the least amount of detectable fragrance to me. However, the incredibly soft whisper of scent is very pleasant and cozyclean. Believe what the reviews say about this being a nice fragrance, believe what the reviews say about this being a barely-there fragrance. This oil is like if fluffy clouds above white cotton fields were scented like laundered fabric, and you were smelling them through a dream. I am a big fan of Jovan's White Musk and associate that scent with a specific workplace, so I ended up using the whole little roller bottle of this fragrance by wearing it to a different job. The little bit of scent is inoffensive, uplifting, subtly pretty, and I think performs better on clothing than on skin. I seriously doubt anyone ever smelled it on me even a little bit. No matter, as I do enjoy the ritual of applying fragrance for its own sake. I wonder if it would've matured into something stronger if I had made the bottle last a little longer. But, I probably won't repurchase it to find out. There are stronger white musks out there for me to try!

I have found that the roller and the bottle smell different. I already have the amber roller and to tell them apart more easily I've purchased the bottle. But the testers in the store were in roller form. I bought this thinking it would smell like the roller. Perhaps the fragrance in the tester also has been allowed to sit for longer? To me they smell so different. T The bottle smells like old library to me. Like you've briskly walked through an old library and dusted yourself off. Also slightly of sweat, but not B.O. just the scent of existing in warmer months (hopefully that makes sense) I don't know where the musk went and I wouldn't say this is very enjoyable on it's own. The roller actually smelled very soft and like musk, the woodsy notes were not detectable for me. I also bought the amber one in roller form and it smelled identical to the tester. I do tend to love amber base notes more than musk, but I don't think bias is what's going on here because I still enjoyed the roller tester of white musk. What's going on, should I be doing something different?

Been wearing this humble oil since on and off since before all of you were born... long ago, before Ulta existed, this was only avail at a small health food store in socal. This is true white musk oil-It’s always been obscenely subtle, hard to detect. No, it’s not Iso e. These days, everything is so strong, so when something is light—it’s harder to detect because everyone is so over sensitized by ambroxin and other synthetic materials. I used to wear this when I was waitressing and only a few picked up on it. One older hairstylist used to flirt with me because I was wearing it, telling me that I reminded him of his childhood in the 70’s. It was cute.

Don’t know whether it’s just my batch or not, but I can’t smell anything. It’s supposed to be Iso-E Super (which I love and can smell), but here I get absolutely nothing? Will give it some time, but I’ve never had this happen before. Update: I didn’t give up and kept trying. I can FINALLY smell the musk in this (after like a month?). It starts off as a “typical” white musk but there’s a bit more to it as well. Stays very close to the skin but lasts several hours.

I have had this oil for a few months. Whole Foods had a small bottle for about $7 so I thought why not. I enjoy both fragrance oils and spray perfumes (the occasion dictates). This is great for a clean fresh out of the shower fragrance! I typically enjoy before bed or if I want a very low key scent in close proximity with others. I recommend as this is an inoffensive scent.

To all of you who have said you don't smell anything in these reviews, thank you. I have a very sensitive nose so I was stunned when I literally smelled nothing when I tried this! The cashier at Ulta said she could smell it. I almost don't believe her lol! I've been buying white musk oils off and on for years. This is the first time and only brand I can't smell. Weirdness!

Just a whisper of clean, warm cotton. Very interesting how it's completely scentless until it's applied to the skin. It couldn't be an easier reach to touch up on the go and layer with literally anything you have on. If you are even considering getting riddle oil, you would be silly not to try this first.

Ok so I personally cannot smell much from it, so I wear this to work thinking that this is very light. A few co-workers have complimented how nice it smelled throughout the day. They all agreed that it smelled like a right out of the shower fresh scent. I wish I could smell it a bit more myself though.

This is the first musk that I pretty much can't smell. I can smell the tiniest hint of white musk immediately after over-applying, but soon after- nothing. I don't have this problem with Nemat's Amber, Kuumba's Persian Garden, JHAG Not A Perfume, Escentric Molecule 1, etc.

i loved my sample vial but unfortunately i bought a 5ml that i cant smell at all. :( letting it sit & hoping the smell from the sample returns to me, it was such a perfect white musk smell. oh well, worse case i can layer it under something i guess

This really hits the back of my nose instantly. Singular and clean and not too in-your-face. This is a really good layering tool, also great for transitioning between seasons.

Woody = Iso-E Super in this one. That's pretty much Nemat's White Musk in a nutshell. A little citrus musk on the front end but mostly Iso-E Super. Pleasant enough.

Like "Amber" but even weaker. Has more scent to it after sitting for longer on the skin. Zero projection, requires direct nose-to-skin to smell it.

very faint soft cosy musk touch of cardamom, reminds me of a chai latte lovely, but if i'm wearing fragrance, i want something more detectable

honestly i just let it sit in my warm car and it projects now . perfect for being inoffensive and for layering
