Balinese Coconut Perfume Oil

Beachy, tropical, exotic, floral, lush, sweet, creamy, fresh, musky, powdery, salty, warm, feminine, chic, sensual, alluring, nostalgic, versatile On me this opens with a photorealistic coconut scent that’s slightly sweet, musky, a bit nutty, somewhat green, and with a touch of sea salt. As it dries down it becomes sweeter and more tropical smelling partly thanks to the exotic white floral sweetness of the Tiare flower. I also get some of a soft and natural monoi oil like scent, which makes sense considering the coconut and Tiare flower notes. I don’t pick up on any sun tan lotion scent, so this is a great choice for those who enjoy coconut fragrances, but prefer more natural smelling ones as opposed to the sun tan lotion like ones. This is fairly simple and linear scent, (although not completely linear because it does develop somewhat as it dries down, but not to the degree that a lot of perfumes do) but that doesn’t mean that it’s not beautiful, or somehow a lesser fragrance. The simplicity of it actually makes it rather appealing, unique, and versatile. Sometimes you don’t want a super complex scent, and just because this isn’t overly complex also doesn’t mean that it’s cheap smelling either because it’s definitely not. However, if you do want it to be more complex it layers extremely well with other fragrances, especially the other Nest oils. I very rarely ever layer my perfumes (other than with matching, or similarly scented body lotion), but this is one of the few that I do actually enjoy layering sometimes. I particularly enjoy it with Madagascar Vanilla (it adds a lovely sweet, warm, and creamy vanilla scent that also has its own touch of coconut) , and I also sometimes like to add South Pacific Sandalwood with them as well. I own all of the Nest perfume oils, so I’m looking forward to trying more combinations, especially with the Indian Jasmine and Seville Orange. To me, Balinese Coconut feels feminine, and like it can easily suit women of all ages. I prefer wearing it the most during the warm weather of late spring and summer. I think it’s a pretty versatile scent, so it’s suitable for the majority of occasions including work and/or school. I’m a big fan of Nest fragrances, so I own all of the perfume oils, and 3 of the regular perfumes (Sunkissed Hibiscus, Vanilla Bourbon, and Golden Nectar). My favorites are the 3 perfumes with Sunkissed Hibiscus being one of my all time top favorite perfumes. My favorites of the perfume oils are Balinese Coconut, Madagascar Vanilla, and South Pacific Sandalwood. I’m also a huge fan of beachy/coconut scents, and for reference some of my favorites include Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Kilian Sunkissed Goddess, Replica Beach Walk, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, Yves Rocher Monoi Eau des Vahines, JHAG Lust For Sun, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Bobbi Brown Beach, Kayali Maui in a Bottle, Kayali Maldives in a Bottle, SDJ Coco Cabana/39, B&BW Coco Paradise I get great performance with Balinese Coconut. The longevity is very good, it lasts all day on me. The projection is nice, it radiates out at least an arm’s length from me.

I love coconut as well as the other Nest perfume oils, so I couldn’t wait to try this one! It wasn’t quite what I’d been expecting, but I still love it! It’s more of a green coconut smell if that makes sense. It’s a bit sweet, but not sweet like other coconut fragrances. There’s also a touch of Tiare flower and salt that I can pick up on. I didn’t love it at first, but after letting it sit on my skin for a little while it had become a prettier and slightly more sweet coconut! These Nest perfume oils are really great for layering (possibly because the scents aren’t too complex?)! I found that layering Balinese Coconut along with Madagascar Vanilla creates the kind of scent that I was expecting more with Balinese Coconut! I think these perfume oils are excellent for layering, especially if you’re new to it like I am! A little goes a long way with this! I get great longevity, it lasts the entire day! It also seems that people can smell me from about an arm’s length away! Balinese Coconut was my choice after buying the Sephora Favorites perfume sampler. The rest of the scents in the sampler were pretty blah to me (Daisy, Dylan Purple, Missing Persons, Gorgeous Gardenia, and Clean Reserve Skin), and Balinese Coconut stood out as something quite unique, so that's the one I chose for a full-size (30ml) bottle. Being an oil, it does sit fairly close to the skin, but it's long lasting on me. Balinese Coconut is VERY gourmand, and it is a man-magnet (or maybe just a human magnet). I can't even begin to describe how delicious this is, but to me it's like a baked coconut dessert, very warm and sweet. It's less like a tropical drink like a lot of summer coconut scents that lean gourmand rather than lotion-y. If you want to be the yummiest thing in the room, pair it with Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 71. The two combine to make some kind of spectacular tropical dessert. Like warm coconut rum cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chopped macadamia nuts (now I'm hungry).

I recently spent time in Miami. While walking around downtown Miami and Miami Beach, this scent would often waft by that smelled like coconut and vanilla. It was on the people who walked by and projected from the hotel lobbies. I told myself I needed to find out what this scent was. I went to Ulta when I returned from Miami and decided to test Balinese Coconut. Something about this scent reminds me of what I was smelling everywhere in Miami Beach for 2 weeks. Obviously this isn't what everyone in Miami was wearing, but it's close enough that it reminds me of my time there. I have tried both the perfume and the perfume oil and it seems like the spray lasts longer on me than the oil somehow. It's definitely on the weaker side but it smells amazing.

This smells so yummmm, I feel so luxx wearing this, and I'm so excited to wear this during the summer. The scent is a rly nice salty coconut that reminds me of swimming at the beach for way too long and still feeling the waves hours later at dinner. I have the travel size so It's easy to just reapply when needed, but I feel like it has pretty good projection and longevity for its price. Unlike other coconut scents this one dosen't smell like play doh which is a big plus lol. I've been searching for my perfect coconut musk, but I don't think this is the perfect match in that regard, it's not woody enough and it's too tropical. Regardless, this is a gorgeous, easy to wear scent.

i could not get enough of this when i first got it. it totally blossoms on the skin and envelops you in a warm, musky bubble. whoever thought about putting coconut with musk together i need to kiss u. think dinner in the bahamas, in a slinky dress. moisturized. selina kyle would smell like this id imagine. i even bought the body spray!! wore it religiously in the summertime. it’s been a couple months since august and putting it on now... it’s a bit simple? more floral? the richness of it seems to have disappeared. like it doesn’t have the bass in its voice anymore. hopefully it comes back or i must find a dupe that survives maceration

Compared to Madagascar vanilla, Balinese coconut is much more sweet and less musky/Smokey. It’s slightly salty and kind of like a breath of fresh air but with coconut trees all around. This isn’t an artificial sweet sickly coconut type of scent. It’s fresh, comforting and sophisticated. It’s not super in your face but you can definitely still smell it throughout the day. It’s like a whisper and not a shout. It’s really nice! I would have to say that this may just be my favourite out of the collection! Edit: I could see myself mixing this into my lotion all the time and making it a semi signature scent!

I think coconut is one of the most difficult notes to compose for in perfumery. Capturing a photorealistic coconut, without it smelling like sunscreen, tropical fruits, sickly sweet vanilla, or sugar water is very challenging and seldom done right. Balinese Coconut is one of the rare compositions that do coconut justice. It's coconut in all its glory; flesh, water and husk. The best coconut scent I've tested to date. Pure and perfect.

I’ve previously concluded coconut is one of my least favorite notes. I adore marine notes and fig, but have written off so many samples I’ve tried because I hate how those notes mix with coconut. I received a sample of this and am absolutely shocked that I love it? It must be the simplicity of it. I think it is comforting and just nice, like a bedtime scent. I doubt I will purchase when my sample is done... but maybe?

I am addicted to wearing this. It’s simple, but I get all the notes. It definitely gives me tropical vacation vibes, but not sunscreen and not too sweet, just a little. I love skin scents and I love things that don’t smell perfumey, but I do get wafts of this throughout the day so it does have some projection on me. And this is the first scent that my partner really loves. I’m going to get the sandalwood next.

I got this as a sample with one of my purchase's through NEST. I really like it! It's a sweet but mellow scent. You can smell a smidge of the sea salt, but overall it's mostly coconut. It's very subtle but lasts a long time, so you'll be smelling it throughout the day. I definitely recommend putting it on pressure points for the best effect.

I totally blind bought a travel size of this as I’m a sucker for sunscreen type scents. Love this it’s not too loud and just what I was looking for. The notes aren’t screechy and blend very nicely with each other and while coconutty the note doesn’t drown out the musk and salt making it balanced and very wearable. Love this

This is the best pure coconut scent in the market. There are a lot of scents I wouldn’t repurchase because I get bored easily.. but this one, I will absolutely continue to buy over and over again. It’s not creamy, it’s not sweet, it’s just the most realistic fresh coconut fruit smell that includes the husk. Highly recommend

Finally found the true, fresh coconut I was looking for! I don’t get much sweetness in this scent, it’s more beachy without being too sunscreen-like. Smells like drinking out of a coconut! I love wearing it alone or layering with a light fruity EDP.

The smell is really good, I like coconut fragrances, this is one of the best so far. I have received already 2 compliments, and, yes, how strange it sounds I can not remind when was the last time when someone complemented my perfume.

this quickly became my favorite fragrance of the summer. it’s also my favorite coconut note! if you want to smell totally edible, pair it with the whipped coconut milkshake body cream from bath & body works.

It does have the same type of coconut note as in Alien Goddess but doesn’t necessarily smell anything like it in totality. Very basic but nice young coconut scent. Great for layering also.

This coconut is very addicting, and smells super luxurious to me for some reason. Like a nice vacation. Also really good for layering. I wish there was a perfume spray version!!
