Ginger & Neroli

Thought I would love this, as I'm a Chypre lover, but this is not as refreshing a scent as I hoped. I have the hand cream and shower gel. The performance is nice, the scent just so-so. Warm and amber-y. I wish it had more zest from the neroli and/or peppery spice from the ginger. Ok, but I won't re-purchase.

For me, as a guy, this is way too sweet and feminine. I think I do like it as a woman's perfume. Also, I get less of the ginger than what I expected looking at the profile

Agree that its a little harsh alcohol on first spray, but that is gone almost immediately and leaves a slightly spicy ginger in its wake this gives way to a very soft ginger quickly. Dry down for me is a lovely soft neroli / ginger that is not at all sharp. It is NOT an invigorating or sharp ginger scent, rather its soft and quite balanced out by a lightly sweet and lightly floral neroli. I personally do not get any mint and only the vaguest rosemary. Its pretty two tone on my skin. Projection and silage is pretty weak, although I do get occasional wafts that are very pleasant. I tend to re-up every few hours, to keep the ginger up front of the smell. All of that said, I find it easy to wear and comforting. I also enjoy spraying my bedding with it.

As a lover of both ginger and citrus, I find this subtle but pleasant. It reminds me of the original formula of Origins' Ginger Essence, but lighter and fresher. It borders on "better room spray than perfume" for me, but it does seem to layer very nicely with other fragrances, so that makes it more enjoyable to wear. 3.9 out of 5 stars. My favorite way to wear it is layered with Oscar de la Renta's "Bella Essence", to really amplify those ginger notes and also make the citrus notes pop.

I have always had a bit of a perfume snob's approach to the entire Nest line. Perhaps I have not been fair. On trying a sample of of Ginger and Neroli, I was really pleased. Finally a ginger scent with some punch! Totally unisex and uplifting. Great as a first scent of the day to cut through the mental fog as you read the news, have your coffee and contemplate your day. Would be a nice addition to a guest bath room.

I love Nest in general and ginger and Netflix specifically, so I thought this would be a real winner. I was wrong. Upon first spray, I thought, “ew, yuck!” but gave it a chance. The dry down helped, and the neroli became more prominent, and I thought it was going to be okay— not good enough to buy, but pleasant. That lasted a couple hours, and now it’s back to nauseating. The Netflix has disappeared, and I’m not sure if it’s the ginger or the rosemary giving it the sour note. I think I’m going to have to shower it off, and I’m not overly sensitive to scent. I’m sure this will be great for someone else, but it’s not my cup of tea!
