Golden Nectar

Gorgeous, sweet, feminine, elegant, sensual, warm, powdery, delicate, charming, enchanting, delightful, classy, sophisticated, cozy Golden Nectar is such a beautiful, elegant, sweet, and unique ambery vanilla fragrance! It’s a vanilla forward fragrance with the golden warmth of amber, orchid adding a touch of floral, and the musk and suede grounding it and rounding it out, while adding a pretty, soft, and creamy powdery scent! Truly lovely! I have a friend who is originally from Bulgaria (I’m in the US) and he says that whenever I wear this that I smell just like these Bulgarian candies he used to get as a kid! Sweet and delicious! I get great performance with Golden Nectar! A few sprays last me all day and I can still smell it on me the next morning! The projection is nice too, people can typically smell it from within arm’s length! It’s such a lovely, pleasant, intriguing, and indulgent scent that’s also inoffensive, so it’s a very easy reach. It’s beautifully sweet, but not overly so, and never heavy or cloying. This is a fragrance that works great all throughout the year, is great for all ages, and would be a great signature scent! I’m honestly surprised that I don’t hear people talking about this beauty more! Just for reference, some of the other sweet and/or vanilla fragrances that I really love include Gold Sugar, Kayali The Wedding Silk Santal, Kayali Vanilla 28, Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Nest Vanilla Bourbon, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Donna Karen Cashmere & Palo Santo, Burberry Goddess, Ralph Lauren Tender Romance, Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, Phlur Vanilla Skin, SDJ Summer é Amor, SDJ 62, VS Vanilla Lace, and B&BW Vanilla Romance. I also very highly recommend the Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus perfume! It’s one of my absolute top favorites of all time! I also just wanted to comment on how gorgeous, charming, elegant, and even rather unique the bottle is! I think that about all of the Nest perfume bottles! They look stunning being displayed! However, Sunkissed Hibiscus and Golden Nectar are my favorite designs! I also really appreciate how beautifully crafted even the travel spray bottles are! I really love that because I usually carry a travel spray of Sunkissed Hibiscus in my purse during the warmer months so that I can have it at all times considering it’s one of my all time favorite fragrances! So, I really appreciate being able to pull out such a beautifully designed travel spray bottle! There aren’t too many houses that put that level of beauty into the travel bottles, but I wish more would!

OOF yeah, the opening is super lipstick-y. Dry, powdery, waxy. The smell of my mom's old clinique lipsticks that she never wore. I can still see all those pale green tubes in her pink makeup carrier kit. When i read the notes, I thought i was going to get a dryer, "fluffier" version of Midnight Fleur - which also features vanilla-orchid and amber. I usually love everything by Nest, so i was quick to purchase a mini 7.5ml sample. The opening was a little off-putting. As i said, straight up lipstick- which a lot of people LOVE, but it's not my favorite thing. It reminds me of my mom's tacky coral pink lipstick colors. There's something a touch fruity or almost bubblegummy in here too- so I do understand the "lipsmackers chapstick" references. However, after about 10 minutes - at least on my skin - The vanilla and the suede stand out the most. I actually start to detect a bit of woodiness and, dare i say, faint caramelized nuttiness. It reminds me of Elie Saab Girl Of Now- but someone sprayed it in the next room. But it also gives me like 15% of that 'fluffy' spun sugar vibe that you get from Burberry Her, BR540 and AG Cloud, etc... What can i say, i went from being "unsure" to "like" and then "love" in the span of 20 minutes. This is treading gourmand territory to me, so I think it's better suited for cooler weather. (fall or early spring?) It's not syrupy or sticky sweet enough to be a proper winter gourmand out in the cold. Though it would be nice and unobtrusive for indoor holiday parties- the fancy kind where the decor is predominately gold and silver with warm lighting and lots of wine. I gotta say, the sillage and longevity isn't as potent as most of my other Nest fragrances. I was expecting more of a presence with this. Overall 7/10. Would consider purchasing a full size bottle if I weren't poor- just for the sake of having it and adding to my Nest collection. It would be 8/10 if it lasted longer. P.S. anyone know the nose behind this? this doesn't smell like a Jerome Epinette creation Edit: it lasts a lot longer on clothes and almost smells like orange soda... My husband keeps saying i smell so pretty. So here we go, might have to buy the bigger bottle, lol!

Initial opening is fresh (30 min): There must be some fruitiness in this somehow, some kind of sweet citrus in the opening, but also a hint of honey, with subtle amber warmth and vanilla base. Mid is the "heaviest" (1 hour or so): Opening continues and less strong, but vanilla and suede pops in now and then creating an almost airy and lactonic feel, quite creamy. I get jasmine and the rarest but definitely there soapiness. I do agree with getting a slight lipstick vibe now and then, but no crayons here. I get more floral, suede, powder and honey, on subtle base of vanilla that is not gourmand. It ́s warm, cozy and on the edge of solar. It could read as getting cloying, but it ́s not, it ́s like a thin veil that envelopes you without being suffocating. Dry down is airy (4-5 hours or so): Soapy powdery jasmine, iris and suede with airy vanilla. So nice! The last hour is just amber to me, which I am not sure I like. My clothes the next day just smell like amber. Notes absolutely missing from the list above: sweet citrus, honey, jasmine and iris. There ́s something about the opening that is similar Lalique Soleil Vibrant, but Golden Nectar is less fruity and the warmer, more powdery and honeyed version of that. If you like Lalique Soleil Vibrant and want a more powdery, warm cozy vibe, and soapy dry down and amber in the end, then Golden Nectar is it.

I really love this scent and have made it my go-to for "head empty need smells for work" kind of mornings, but I will say this much - it is definitely a scent that you need to try on your skin before committing to it, I wouldn't call this a safe blind buy. On the paper tester this scent was an almost too-sweet honey scent to my nose, and while I thought it was yummy it didn't stand out to me at all (especially not in the middle of a busy Sephora). It wasn't until I was encouraged to put it on my skin that I really got to see the scent take shape, because on me and with my skin chemistry this perfume takes on a sweet almond and floral scent. I don't get much of the suede or musk until those top notes have faded, but even then I think the blend of those two with the vanilla base works. There's some powder to it on the tail end as you'd expect from the musk, but the suede and vanilla keeps it in check which is great for me as someone with an aversion to powder. Sillage and longevity on this are both moderate, in my experience - an arms-length scent for the first couple hours and an intimate scent for another two at best

Beautiful, easy to wear daytime ambery vanilla scent. It’s not super unique or anything, but it does smell nice and garners compliments. I think this would be office safe too. It’s a pretty linear scent; doesn’t change much as my skin warms it up but that’s fine with me. It smells great straight out of the bottle and I don’t feel self conscious about wearing a “strange” or super complex perfume when I wear it out (cause that can sometimes cause adverse reactions from folks... you know lol) It’s not a super favorite and I do think it’s very overpriced for what it is, but I’ll definitely use the 10ml spray I have for the office, doctor, etc. it’s perfect for that. UPDATE: I’ve been wearing this a lot lately and I’ve really fallen in love with it. It has this deep sweetness to it that just makes it so addictive. Longevity is fantastic as well as silage! I take back what I said about it not being a favorite... it’s definitely turned into a favorite! I’m getting a full bottle, I love it so much. The travel spray isn’t enough! Lol

I don't really jive with the name - it doesn't evoke what I actually smell, which is powdery lipstick and vanilla. I really really like this scent so far. I say so far because it's been less than 5 minutes. I had to rush to fragrantica to check the notes and reviews because what I smell is not at all what I expected! Before even seeing Replica Lipstick On listed here I thought of it. That waxy lipstick smell is very distinct and definitely something that I gravitate towards. To me it is the epitome of sexy. I like that Golden Nectar isn't JUST waxy lipstick though. I can smell the musk and amber underneath, a bit of the vanilla as well...I really think this is lovely! I have a little rollerball that was a 100 point perk from Sephora. I plan to prioritize this scent this fall/winter because it's so sexy to me, but also cozy and warm. Before buying a travel spray or bottle I'll need to test if I enjoy this scent when it's sprayed because sometimes I do notice a difference in a scent depending on the application.

I love this fragrance!! It smells soft, warm, and slightly sweet, like a well loved cashmere sweater. It's luxurious smelling to me, but also sort of nostalgic in a way, like a nice hotel lobby or clean laundry? This is a slightly more complex and interesting vanilla than many on the market, which I really appreciate, but it is still light enough that it could be layered with something else. I can understand how it could smell girly, but I also think it is put together enough for any age or job. I also think this fragrance works year round and at any time of day! My only complaint is the bottle. The sticker on the back wasn't applied properly, so one side hangs off the edge while the other has extremely sticky adhesive that you have to touch every time you pick up the bottle to spray it. I'd return it for a replacement, but I might just decant it because it was the last one at the store near me.

I personally pick up on this as being more of a powdery floral. On my skin it smells so clean, fresh, powdery, soft, comforting — I feel like a delicate and warm spring flower when I wear this. Remember that vanilla is NOT strictly a food ingredient, it is also derived from a flowering plant (an orchid, to be precise) so vanilla does not immediately equate to sweets and pastries. I myself am not heavy on the gourmands and yet love this fragrance - so much so that I knew I was eventually going to grab a full-sized bottle. Sure enough, found it for $30 at TJ Maxx a couple months later, so keep your eye out at TJ Maxx/Marshalls! Longevity seems to be a common complaint with this one. For me personally it lasts 2-4 hours on my (moisturized and oiled) skin and lasts even longer on my clothes as I can smell it on myself all day.

It's fine. The opening is waxy and powdery; reminds me of an eyeshadow pallette I had for playing dress up as a kid. Once the waxy smell evaporates, it's powdery with a little sweetness and warmth. Inoffensive and versatile. Sits close to the skin. EDIT: I'm updating my rating from "fine" to "good," lol. I've felt drawn to it during the cool weather recently and like it a bit more every time I wear it. I didn't understand before why anyone would want to smell like waxy makeup...but now I find it comforting. It's unlike anything else I own, and I'm glad I held onto my mini bottle after the first sniff. My only qualm is that the scent doesn't match the name at all, IMO. Today I have it layered with Clean Skin (Reserve Blend) and it works well! Very cozy combo

I got this for my birthday from my dad last year at the end of the summer. It's a beautiful scent! On me, it starts out flowery and sweet, and dries down with caramel and amber notes. I like it a lot, it's fairly expensive and the lasting power is not good for the price. I have to spray a lot and I stop smelling it on myself within an hour or two. I might test layering with another scent to see if I can make it stay longer because I really do love it! It's sweet and gourmand without being too heavy for daytime wear and some powdery scents come out as it dries down too. Works for every season and good for day and night!

In love with this scent! I find it absolutely divine, it makes me feel so polished & put together. The way the bottle looks is exactly how it smells. To me I get a sweet lactonic floral, with a musky vanilla base. Slightly powdery but in such an elegant way, it’s so wearable and has me wanting to sniff my wrist all day. Even my sister, whose anti-floral with her fragrances didn’t mind this one. However I will say it doesn’t have much lasting power on skin as it does clothes, I only get about 3 hours out of it before it’s gone. The sweater I wore with it held on for days until it was washed though.

I actually love this lol. I'm so surprised that I adored it at first sniff. This is nostalgic for me. It reminds me of s sophisticated version of those Lipsmackers teeny bopper lips balms I used to wear in the 90s 😂 or Lip Glow lips glosses from back in the day. The fact that I actually like this sort of "lipstick" accord is shocking to me 😂. When I first read the reviews I was like "ew!" But when I actually tested it out at the store I was surprised how much I liked it because I hate anything "plasticky" or leaning on smelling like makeup. This one is beautiful tbh. Definitely in my wants list.

This fragrance is for someone with a nose for snuggling/womanly fragrances. I stumbled across this and immediately loved it. The smell that first hit me was a mother’s date night lipstick (love that). I was surprised to find it morphed gracefully into its middle and base notes. By the end of wearing Golden Nectar, the lipstick smell transforms slowly to reveal a very smooth and inoffensive amber with slight hints of vanilla. I imagine this scent as a warm, round powder fluff. When a fairy godmother appears in a floating ball of light to comfort you, this is how she smells.

i get the comments on how Golden Nectar smells makeup-y, but to me, makeup smell is rather artificial and plastic-y and what i got was vanilla and shy florals, wrapped by a gentle powdery scent. i don't know how it's reminiscent of makeup but it is, in the best way possible. i loved it and went back to it twice, and tried it on my skin. it did slightly better on my skin than what i've heard, i'm talking 2-3 hours though. if only the longevity was better! feminine, cream/white color, elegance, makeup puff hitting the face gently, powdery, lace gloves, soft, soft, soft...

This smelt so good! I'm normally not super huge on vanilla notes, either it's unoriginal/boring or is too overpowering and carries the whole perfume, but mixed with the amber and floral notes it was perfect! It really almost smelled like honey, to the point where I thought that's what was one of the notes, and the subtle floral musk really made it smell like I was sniffing a flower. Overall it's warm, sweet, slightly floral, and surprisingly complex despite the little notes used.

This is a lovely fragrance! It's sweet and addicting! In the past, friends tried to steer me to Nest fragrances, but I was never fan. However, I received a sample in one of my Sephora orders and I immediately fell in love with Golden Nectar by Nest, and purchased the largest bottle available. I am about to order my next bottle as it is down to about 20% left! The smell is sweet and cream mix of a rich and velvety vanilla! Love, love, love this fragrance!

Powdery lipsticky gorgeousness that doesn’t make me want to gag, unlike Lipstick Fever by JHAG. It’s just sweet enough to not be headache inducing and the vanilla makes it soft and creamy. I have to be in the mood to wear this fragrance, but every time I do, I wonder why I don’t wear it more often. It reminds me of this Clinique lipstick I would take from my mom when I was a little girl. It has an element of nostalgia that makes it so special to me.

I smelt this at anthropology 2 weeks ago and I bought it right away! To me it doesn’t smell like crayons, but more like a nostalgic lipstick smell. It smells powdery and musky. I smell a lot of amber and a little vanilla. This perfume makes me thing of the song Gold rush by TS. I feel like the girl the songs about would wear this perfume. Overall this perfume is so pretty and I love it. It made it to my top 5 real quickly.

I adore this scent but it doesn’t last long on my skin. It is, however, a scent that I would wear as a signature scent because it doesn’t smell like I’m wearing perfume. It just smells like I smell really good. It’s sweet, lightly floral, a touch of fruitiness and vanilla on my skin. I don’t get the waxiness or crayon smell. I do get creamy and smooth. It is perfection. I just wish it lasted longer.

I am OBSESSED! This perfume is so addictive. It's a warm, waxy, sweet smell, that is similar to makeup/lipstick, but done perfectly. I reach for this one all the time in my collection, and is perfect for everyday wear. The only issue is it doesn't last more than 4 hours and it sits close to the skin. I give this a 9/10 due to it's poor sillage. *This is also the first NEST perfume I own.

This is a pretty scent. It's powdery, but not baby powder. It's got a bit of waxiness to it and it's quite sweet. It's light for as sweet as it is, which makes it a good reach for transitional seasons like spring or autumn. In the autumn I like to pair it with BBW Wicked Vanilla Woods, as their notes are somewhat similar and it boosts longevity.

In the early 2000s my older sister had an edible body shimmer that smelled EXACTLY like this. Addictive yummy sweetness, not overpowering vanilla, something almost marshmallowy. It's perfectly balanced between fun/youthful and sophisticated, and warm in a light, sunshiney way that makes it suitable for all seasons imo.

I actually love the nostaligic, waxy Mac lipstick scent of it - much more powdery than I typically go but this embodies what I felt like a sophisticated woman smelled like when I was a child and I find that to be a positive association. I wear this at night when going out to dinner, weddings, parties for that reason.

Normally I’m not a fan of powdery-dominant scents because they smell like baby wipes to me. This is lipstick/ makeup bag powdery scent and I’m in love. I have the tiniest rollerball that I adore using for bedtime. It’s very comforting and cozy. It can be used for all occasions. I’m considering buying a full size.

Mmmm, I love this one. I don't usually like Nest scents so I was surprised. My mom has a bottle of this and I sprayed it on and it's just the most beautiful amber vanilla. I don't get any powdery notes or any of the suede. It warms up on the skin and this lasts on me all day. I immediately bought a full bottle

This one is nice and sweet , I really enjoyed it right off the bat although it did smell almost like chocolate or something odd before it dries down . It does slightly remind me of amber romance once it’s dried down but it’s sweeter , amber romance nectar or amber romance mixed with secret genius?

Ok this grew on me for sure. At first it smelled like crayons but the more I used it the less I smelled the first impression. To me it smells like powdery fruity pebbles. She’s a cute perfume for sure. It’s smells so nostalgic for me. I’d say I’d love to wear this on the warmer days of spring.

Got this in a rollerball set and didn't like it initially. It was almost to floral and powdery straight out of the bottle. But on my skin it turns into a sweet vanilla but not like an sickly sweet ice-cream. It's like a bright, sweet(more like fresh fruity sweet), vanilla fragrance.

Surprisingly addictive. Not a scent I’d usually go for but I can’t get enough. It’s a warm vanilla floral that feels perfect for a date night but it’s also fresh enough that you could wear it to work. Would definitely purchase a full size of this to use in the Fall and winter.

When I first picked up the bottle, I didn't think I would love it as much as I do. It's sweet, creamy, powdery, but a wonderful balance of the three. My first thought when I wore it was that it was very lipsticky/chapsticky and that made me love it even more. Highly recommend.

this is how i like my vanillas! I find this so bright, fresh, and youthful. Something in here smells nostalgic to me, like springtime as a little girl. This is incredibly fun, feminine and gentle. It doesn't as long as others, but this is such a mood booster so it's worth it!

LOOOVE! I smell like a newborn baby (one of the compliments I get), so sweet so powdery so enveloping. For some this might be the slightly cold weather scent but I live in very hot & humid country and this one performs quite well here. I get compliments all the time.

I discovered this perfume last year and it’s now one of my go to summer scent. I don’t think this would smell nice on everyone. It’s my favorite floral scent, perfectly blended with the vanilla but not too sweet. It’s just perfect and makes me feel very feminine.

Another sweet floral scent from Nest but this one is a little different. It's a little muskier, a little more linear and a lot more rich smelling. This is expensive but I think it's worth it and to me it smells like a well put together important business woman.

Oh my goodness this is such a glamorous scent. Sweet, powdery, vanilla with a slight tropical vibe in there somewhere. To my nose this is sensual and sexy. Every time I wear it I just love all the compliments I get.

My coworker wears this and it smells amazing! You can smell it softly on her all day. I look forward to working with her everyday cuz she smells so good plus she's a nice girl! Such a cozy friendly aroma.

This is warm, white floral, and powdery. I love this fragrance. It’s sexy in a way that’s perfect for day or night. On me and my clothes it lasts all day and sillage is customizable by amount used.

You really must try this one to know for sure. I don't get any powdery notes and initially thought it was too sweet but realized (a) I need a light hand, and (b) it calms down in an hour or so.

Oh...my...god😍 I have not been able to stop smelling myself since I sprayed this. Absolutely beautiful golden floral in the opening, then it dries down to a musky vanilla. Solid longevity too.

Girly, vibrant, sexy, and addicting

There was something about the name and the presentation of this fragrance that piqued my interest. I have other Nest fragrances and have had great luck with them. I enjoy Golden Nectar almost as much as my favourite Nest fragrance, Indigo. It opens with a waxy lipstick accord that I usually associate with iris, so I was a little surprised not to see iris listed in the notes. As it dries down it becomes a warm, sweet, ambery vanilla. This stage of the fragrance is a bit generic, but still smells quite lovely. The waxy opening is my favourite part of this fragrance and I wish it lasted longer. It morphs into a pretty standard vanilla rather quickly and completely, within an hour. The first time I wore this frgrance, I was disappointed by the longevity. I thought it only lasted 2-3 hours. I wore it again a few days ago while I had to wear a mask periodically through the day. I realized I was going nose-blind to this fragrance when exposed to it all day. Everytime I removed my mask, I could smell this fragrance all around me for about an hour. I could still smell it on my skin for about six hours. On my clothes it lasted even longer, 10+ hours. It has a soft projection not reaching much beyond arms length. I have mixed feeling when it comes to fragrances like this. Sure it's nice to know that others can smell my fragrance, but I wear fragrance more for myself than anyone else. I like to be able to smell the fragrance myself, so it's a bummer when I go nose blind to one. The first time I tried Golden Nectar, I was reminded of MMM Lipstick On. Both open with a waxy lipstick accord and dry down to a vanilla. Unfortunately that is where the similarity ends. The have similar profiles, but smell very different with Lipstick On being far superior. The artwork on the Nest bottles is always beautiful. This one is no exception. It looks like the fragrance smells. The bottle also feels very good quality with heavy glass, a nice soft touch cap and an sprayer that delivers a very fine slow mist. Nest fragrances are a pretty decent price, even at full retail. They cost about 20% less than most designer fragrances for similar quality.

Golden Nectar was another one I smelled at Sephora and instantly fell in love with. It so unique and mesmerizing. I can appreciate that Nest fragrances are under $100( $78 to be exact), but I still felt like I could find this for a better deal, and I did. I scored this for about $40 Mercari. This first spray gave me a blast of a note that isn't even listed in this composition, and it was lipstick. Yes, you read that correctly. It was so strange, but I was intrigued. I've owned one or two fragrances that had a powdery make-up accord, but this was pure lipstick until it was accompanied by a powdery Vanilla shortly after. The lipstick accord and Vanilla surprisingly blends well. There's an Amber-ish undertone that joins in, backed with Musk. As this dries down, that Lipstick accord eventually fades and I'm left with a Musky and powdery Vanilla scent. But my only issue is that this it's in a span of two hours. After I smelled this at Sephora, I did not expect this to be a powerhouse fragrance, which is mainly why I opted to look for a better price. But I wasn't expecting this to be a disappearing act. This makes me so glad I did not pay $78 for this. It's a lovely fragrance, but definitely not worth the price tag. Even with Golden Nectar's strange lipstick accord, I think this is inoffensive and could be pulled off in the workplace simply because it's not a heavy scent. If you're interested in trying this fragrance, I suggest sampling it first, which also makes me miss when Sephora used to give free samples of their fragrances to their customers lol. I've almost finished my travel spray of Golden Nectar and while we've had our ups and downs, I'm ending on a very strong like for this scent. This is not an everyday wear (for me). During warm sunny weather, it's a no. (Contrary to the impression given by the name and bottle.) Gray and chilly November style weather, it's a yes. Golden Nectar is the type of scent I like to retreat into, versus project outward. If I put on enough of it to make an entrance with others, it would give me (and possibly others) a headache. But for a quiet, cozy day inside, spraying just enough for my own personal pleasure, I find it perfect. It offers a very similar sensation to putting on a favorite sweater - it has the waxy, lipstick factor that I find so nostalgic and soothing. If you don't like that type of scent, you will not like this because it has it in spades. I'd love to get a full size bottle when my travel spray is used up, but I think I won't because I have a big bottle of Kenzo Amour, which I added to the "reminds me of" section. I'm not saying it "smells like" Kenzo Amour! It doesn't, but I find the "texture" - if you will - of the two fragrances to be similar. They have a similar vibe, and I would use either for the same type of setting. Golden Nectar is sweeter than Amour. If you like lipstick scents, AND sweetness, I really recommend it! It's beautiful. It's not going to be for everyone. But what a boring world it would be if everything was for everyone!
