Wisteria Blue

I get why people say this is similar to J'Adore- it sort of is. I do think it's closer to Dolce than anything else due to the extra florals. I like those both so it stands to reason I like this one as well. If you've never smelled Dolce think of J'Adore with a spicy floral kick at the end. This drydown is better than Dolce IMO, sweet with a punch of Wisteria/Lilac. I just ordered a $50 sampler pack of Nest fragrances thinking I'd like Indigo based on reviews, but this one blew every other one out of the water for me. I had been looking for something Lilac and never thought to search instead for Wisteria- and here it fell into my lap when I was looking for something entirely different. This is the scent of spring personified- somehow both delicate and strong without smelling falsely chemical. I have been looking for a new floral scent but I'm picky about them - Coach Poppy has been the only other floral I've purchased. Flowerbomb by V&R is like an assault to my senses and Gucci Bloom just seems like a knockoff of Dolce and nothing special to me- couldn't believe the price tag. This is what Dolce and Bloom were trying to achieve but better- Nest chose a singular floral to have the final punch of longevity, and they chose correctly. Wisteria, boom. FWIW the scent on my skin was far superior to paper. It smells sweeter on paper and I get the comment about alcoholic drydown- it is a bit sharp at the end, almost like pencil erasers? Which sounds bad but it's not somehow- an inch away from my skin I get nothing but Wisteria. Nose pressed to skin? A little sharp maybe. But this? This I'm buying a full bottle of. This is strong businesswoman wearing a fashionable rain trench in spring, dashing between puddles. I intend to be that woman.

The Glam Twinz brought me here! I've been on the hunt for a new, fresh aquatic scent now that summer has arrived in the air fryer climate that is the San Fernando Valley. After stumbling upon some aquatic scent recommendation videos, Nest Wisteria Blue came up. I always wanted to try this brand, and I have to say, I'm officially a fan! This is one of the most delightful fresh florals I've tested. Wisteria Blue is in the same vein as Chloé or Clinique Happy Heart–a sweet, fresh, aquatic floral with clean, watery notes and airy flowers, with just a hint of fruity juiciness. Although ethereal wisteria is listed as the top note, Wisteria Blue is more rose-forward to my nose. The jasmine note is soft and slightly vanillic, much like the star jasmine that grows wild in my neighborhood, rather than skanky or indolic. There isn't a stray dirty note here. The water note is also subtly sweet. Although not listed, I detect just a hint of cucumber in the drydown. These notes together are just pure catnip to my freshie-obsessed self. On top of all of this, Wisteria Blue is one of the best performing fresh scents, EVER. My skin absorbs perfumes like you wouldn't believe, but Wisteria Blue defied all odds and lingered on my skin for a good five hours before gently fading. I'm totally head over heels in love with this. This would be so good for the office, bedtime, or just whenever. The Glam Twinz were right about this one. I'm officially a Nest fan!

Update: I saw someone else mention a rose note, and they are right. This actually smells like Ellis Brooklyn RRose and Pure Poison had a baby. Wisteria Blue, to me, smells like the dry-down of Pure Poison with aquatic notes and a little less jasmine. In my opinion, this actually smells better than PP, and PP is one of my all time favorites. I noticed with PP, the opening is very bitter/sharp to my nose, but within 3-5 minutes it settles into a heavenly jasmine blanket. With WIsteria Blue, you receive the dry-down in the beginning, and it stays that way. PP is more jasmine centric so the dry-down is a little stronger and smells more of jasmine whereas WB turns into wisteria, water notes, and a soft kick of Jasmine. I think WB will be an intimate scent, with weak to medium longevity, but it's so beautiful. I'll need to wear it for a whole day before I can elaborate more on it. I would wear this all year, but it smells more like a fragrance meant for Spring and some Summer days. It's a light scent, but there is a powdery note in there that I imagine being cloying when the weather is too hot.

A Perfume with all the viscus qualities of a water nymph waiting to embrace you and potentially drown you. Either way, she'll end up dragging you to the bottom of the pond with her. Clean, soft floral, aquatic without being oceanic, and elegant with a hint of darkness and coolness. An aquatic floral if there ever was one. Maybe not groundbreaking to some, but I love it. I'm especially thankful to have this in the unbearably hot triple degree weather right now. The air being heavy with dry heat amplifies the watery note and makes it less sweet and floral. In more mild weather the wisteria remains more prominent and diaphanous. The sweetness dies down after the first hour. The longevity was impressive, spraying it at around 6:00am and still noticeable at about 2:00pm. It reminds me a little bit of Flower Fresh from Clean, but moody and 'blue' instead of bright and 'pink.' If you like a fresh aquatic floral this might be one to try, but it might be cloying to some. Sometimes soapy, but in a good way.

Lovely, dewy purpley floral scent. It is cool and lush, like you're in a secret stone passageway in a garden, sunny outside but very dark and damp inside, the entryway ceiling and walls dripping with flowers in full bloom. I don't know the scent of actual wisteria enough to say whether that is the blooming flower this fragrance represents, but it's so pretty. Thankfully there is no bug-spray element that usually emerges from my skin when there are rose notes in a fragrance. As it dries down, it loses a little of the florals and gains more of the stone, almost a clay or mineralic tinge. I am just finishing my little 9 or 10 mL rollerball, so it stays very close to the skin for me, not sure if that's because of the application method or just Nest fragrances in general as suggested by others.

Late spring, early summer. You are alone, or so you think, by a secluded flora-rich lake. Dizzy from the sweltering heat of the sun, your toes break the surface of the cool water, dipping in as it beads and evaporates over your wet skin, cooling you off. The wisteria surrounding you is full bodied but not cloying, chasing off the heat induced fog in your brain with the sweet, alluring florals. The jasmine and rose add a deep complexity without overwhelming your senses, the fresh, sun sparkling water prompting you to slide in deeper and deeper, against your better judgement.

this has been my signature scent for a long time now, incredibly sad to hear that it's discontinued!! it opens very fresh, ive seen people mention clean laundry at the opening and i definitely agree with that. but where it really shines for me is a couple hours after application- like a flower garden on the lakeside. the watery notes are where it really shines for me, it's surprisingly deep which i struggle to find in feminine aquatic fragrances. longevity always impresses me! i can usually put this on in the morning, and still have it lingering around the end of the night.

This is a very sentimental fragrance for me. My boyfriend took me shopping for our first Valentine's Day and I picked this perfume. The beautiful bottle drew me in, and the name is even special because his nickname for me is Blue. I wanted to get a scent he liked on me, since he was the one buying it for me. Its an easy to wear, fresh, aquatic, and floral scent. It kind of reminds me of a body wash scent. I love it so much. It lasts all day on me. I will always cherish this scent and I only wear it around my boyfriend because thats what I want to associate the scent with.

The jasmine & rose notes are just like Dior J’adore but wayyyy less powdery. For half of the price, I adore it and will probably pick a bottle up. I have a tiny rollerball I’ve been using and I would absolutely wear this always in the spring through summer. I love that this perfume is aquatic and fresh without citrus notes so it is rather unique to me since most freshies smell like astringent cleaning products. Instead this smells like true freshness —you just took a luxurious shower with the fancy floral-scented shampoos & shower gels after a long day at the beach.

Wisteria is my favorite flower, so best believe I had high expectations when testing this fragrance. I'm happy to report that it definitely reached them! A delicate, clean, floral fragrance that I've come to really adore. Personally, I plan on wearing this to the gym. It's close enough to the skin that it won't bother people, but present enough that I'll be able to smell it myself as I'm working out. Makes you feel fresh just by smelling it. Definitely has the vibe of a forest full of wisteria trees right after it rained. Absolutely lovely!

Wow this perfume is very pretty. It is in my top favorites from Nest. What drew me in first is the art on the bottle. Nest bottles are eye catching to me. I feel like this is something most of us have smelled before and it is a crowd pleaser but it is still very lovely. It smells like spring time flowers and there is a light rain drizzle outside and the air is fresh and clean. It is also very soft at the same time. I think maybe it's the name but it does smell blue to me. It would be nice to wear it on a rainy day.

When I asked for a sample of this at Sephora, the beauty consultant said that this might be the next signature scent. I think she's right. It's the perfect balance of a soft, clean floral and a fresh spring water scent, with just a hint of (non-sugary) sweetness. I feel like it would be perfect for everyday wear. Wisteria Blue is definitely going to be one of the next two full-size purchases that I make (the other being Proenza Schouler Arizona). My only complaint is that it doesn't have much sillage or longevity.

This is the only Nest fragrance I like and I love it. So sad it's been discontinued! It's very much like J'Adore went on vacation to a lush rainy cool garden retreat. It's very floral but also aquatic and ultra feminine. Nest fragrances don't have the best longevity I find, but this one lasts around 5 or 6 hours in clothes and only 2 or 3 on skin. I have had compliments on this one by family. I purchased a full bottle because my partial was getting low. Sad to see it go!

This smells like reading The New Yorker under a willow tree on a late summer morning. Flowers are blooming in a nearby garden. There's a gentle breeze, and a clear babbling brook nearby. I normally don't go for watery or green scents, but this is simply gorgeous. Bonus points for it blending with Oscar De La Renta's Bella Essence exquisitely - the combination smells like the mist of a waterfall, and lilies. 5 out of 5 stars.

This is one of my personal favorites. I wear it a lot during spring, and early fall. Or just whenever I wanna smell like Wisteria because I love the way it smells. I would say this is a niche scent. You gotta like wisteria, though because it smells like rainy day walking through an insane amount of wisteria vines while a low breeze blows by. I love it.

I also feel some similarity between the opening of this and J'adore despite the notes totally not matching:) however the overall impression is different, Wisteria is a bit... not cheap smelling per see, but has this AVON vibe....meaning you can kinda tell its cheap but quality is relatively good for the cheapness. Except Nest is not that cheap:)

It smells like a wet and rainy garden. I don't know what wisteria smells like since I have not smelled a wisteria plant before. The aquatic notes tops this fragrance off giving fresh. Only downfall is that it does not last long, roughly about 5 hours then I would need to top up. Wisteria Blue is still a great scent despite it not lasting.

This stunning scent was my introduction to Nest, and what an intro it was. I can only describe it as "beautiful." If you want a realistic-smelling floral without any powderiness, this is fantastic. Very fresh and clean, not juvenile or sweet. I consistently reach for this and plan to repurchase when I run out.

This scent is getting discontinued, so I got a travel size at half price to test. And I do really like it! It's an inoffensive fresh floral to me with a lead of a purple floral (hyacinth/lilac/wisteria, in this case). Not groundbreaking but definitely not bad. Don't regret adding it to the collection at all!

Really unique scent, it’s floral but not a generic one like jasmine, rose, gardenia, etc and it’s also not masculine or powdery. It’s dewy and reminds me of a water nymph. For some reason this also smelled cold to me, like cold rain. It’s so beautiful and I need more dewy floral fragrances like this!

This scent is springtime in a bottle. Those lovely purple blue wisteria that grow wild in the south draping from the trees...their scent clinging to the cool morning air...it is this lovely perfume. Soft, feminine, delicate.

God, this is a beautifully balanced floral. It smells like you’re walking through a flower garden after a light rainstorm. The wisteria note is spotlighted here but the jasmine makes for a really great supporting note.

Beautifully crisp and fresh. It smells like a cool breeze. It's really clean and carries really well in the spring. I like scents like this for winter too because the cold adds an icy aspect to the aquatic notes.

Absolutely gorgeous and elegant scent. Smells like a misty pond surrounded by wisteria and rose bushes. Smells especially amazing on a cold rainy day, I love the cold and fresh quality that this perfume carries.

A nice fresh blooming out of the bush scent. Very lovely a lot similar to a lilac scent from yves rocher, but not as heavy which is great. The longevity is kind of poor though. A little disapointing!

A simple, sweet, and light floral perfume. I'd also describe it as a very fresh and clean scent too. Personally, I really liked it, but I can understand why people might think of it as basic

Aqua notes that remind me of the coastal grand millennial aesthetic. Sophisticated. Smells like you are hugging a wealthy hostess from Cape Cod.

Clean sweet aquatic with a touch of floral. Very different than a lot of aquatic smells that tends to lean more masculine. Love it!! <3

Wisteria Blue opens as a fresh and vibrant. aquatic floral that’s leans slightly green. A bouquet of citrusy magnolia, lilac, freesia, waterlily, English lavender, maybe some hyacinth all bundled up whilst the morning dew is still damp on the petals and placed in a vase with slices of fresh lemon. To me, it’s not a true photorealistic wisteria, as I’d be expecting some lovely sweet spicy honey tones to it, reminiscent of a lilac & honeysuckle. But it’s a beautiful fragrant perfume and it’s pretty close. There’s a lovely little bit of green peppery spiciness you find in wisteria. As it starts to settle there’s subtle hints of blonde woods and oakmoss coming through, keeping the freshness ongoing. I don’t get rose prominently here but there’s a hint of an earthy velvet floral that’s pulls the accord a little further green as it starts to dry down. In the dry down I’m getting wisteria flowers as they approach the end of bloom. Still bright and clean whiffs of lilac and waterlily but then little breezes of earthy, musky, powderiness and the faintest hint of couramin. There is a little aroma on my skin that’s off putting here - a slightly bitter and sour, fusty smell that smells like fresh, sweet sweat that’s just about to go on the turn. But that is only when my nose is close to the skin and I honestly don’t get this when I keep the scent at arm’s length. Unlike the disappointing longevity of Indigo and Sun-kissed Hibiscus rollerball samples, Wisteria Blue has surprised me, lasting 5-6 hours today with a gentle to fair projection. They aren’t the same, but Jo Malone’s Wild Bluebell already has my heart when I want to reach for an office friendly aquatic floral scent profile. There’s something in the clarity of the flowers and bright spicy punch the clove brings that I love, so will be sticking to that. But this is a really beautiful bright, aquatic, fresh and clean floral, with a little green spicy undertone, if you’re a fan of that scent profile. Timeless and classic. Very likeable and enjoyable to wear. I’ll defo use up the rest of the sample.

I'm very torn on WB. Sephora currently has this in their "2018 New Launches" favorites kit which I just purchased. Upon first spray, I audibly gasped and yelled "oh my gosh." The aroma was intoxicating and I was absolutely sure I was going to redeem my voucher for this one. After wearing this for about 5 days (yes.. I got 5 days out of a 1.5 ml vial), I'm not sure what to think. Normally I can fly through a 1.5 ml vial in about 1 to 2 days because I am a heavy oversprayer. I could not overspray WB. This was incredibly strong and long lasting on me. Many people have said that it is light and not overpowering, but I had the opposite experience. At the end of my work day, I could still smell WB like I had just sprayed it. I was worried I had offended my coworkers in my tiny office, but I didn't receive any comments, positive or negative, on this fragrance. The scent is still pleasant, and I occasionally get that infatuated feeling that I had when I first smelled this, but I don't see myself owning a large bottle of this. I would use another sample in the future.

Within the initial spray you get a splash of bright green leaves, coated with dew drops. The seduction of standing under an orange tree whilst on a walk through a South Floridian nature preserve creeps up on you. The smell of walking into a local cafe, or super market that serves orange juice, freshly squeezed by those rotating, orange-colored machines. As this scent settles into the skin, the bitter green has unfolded into a white flower. It's February in Colombia. After an afternoon storm, I walk through my grandmothers garden at my grandparents farm. My pathway is adorned with white, orange, and red flowers that have fallen from the weight of the rain. I'm surrounded by a plethora of fruit trees, vines and bushes. Stepping on flowers and leaves in my path, a airy, jasmine floats through the air. As if the wind is whispering to you. Rain en la finca felt so pure and gentle, it made the air feel it's most fresh, and made the water come down from the mountains, filling up our creek and the near by river with an abundant current.

Growing up, loads of wisteria grew at the edge of the woods behind my childhood home every spring, and after it would rain, the smell was so heavy in the air and lovely and sweet. This is quite close to taking me back to stepping off of the back porch during that window of time in spring. This is clean and classic, not a little girl or old lady kind of floral, just fresh and timeless. I appreciate it a lot for the nostalgia, and bought a travel bottle at first, I thought it was a potential signature scent, while it's evocative of spring it is good to wear all year and in many settings. I started to fall out of love with it a little over the course of using the travel spray. It's lovely but it is simple and longevity is not great. I was not sure about buying a full bottle until I realized that it was being discontinued and can currently be bought discounted, so I did it. I will likely experiment with layering it with other clean or possibly woody scents for more depth, and will savor this bottle.

All of its accords are very common is soaps, therefore giving Wisteria Blue a very clean, fresh-out-of-the-bath quality without being distinctively soapy. I would reach for this before Bubble Bath if I was going for the trendy clean girl aesthetic. There is a depth and darkness that makes it much more appealing. This smells a bit synthetic like public showers where everyone’s shampoos, washes, and perfumes would mix together and harmonize with a base of chlorinated pool fumes. Linear. Not a huge fan. I have the rollerball formulation which needs generous application to get beyond and intimate sillage, is easily disturbed and faded by skin friction, and undetectable under clothes. I haven’t yet tried this layered with vaseline or aquaphor, which might be the trick to get it to stay as long as I was hoping. If this was paired with the matching body lotion I think it would have the projection and staying power I’m looking for, but I believe it was for a limited time or discontinued.

Ah, a nice simple scent that doesn't overwhelm at all. It's completely inoffensive. I was looking forward to this scent because I love the smell of Wisteria. The Wisteria doesn't disappoint and, to me, it's very calming. I agree with another reviewer that says it's not cheap per se, but it does have a more Avon-ish feel to it rather than high-end. That doesn't make the smell any less good, though. I have scent sensitivity and this gives zero headaches and zero sinus issues. Again, very non offensive. I wouldn't get the full bottle myself, but perhaps the .27 sprayer just for those occasions like ... parent-teacher conferences and other things where I'd like to smell pleasant, but not complicated.

This is a very likable fragrance. Very classy, and timeless. Reminds me of a very classy woman. It's also water-nymphy. Definately reminded me of J'adore Dior that I've smelled in store before, or at least gives off those vibes. It's not groundbreaking though, to me at least. I could see myself putting this on in a bind if I am in a rush and just need to put something on. To each their own! I'm not sure if it's something I would drop all my money on a full bottle (I have the travel size). I am still early on in my fragrance journey. I'm happy with what I have right now with this little travel size. But everything about the notes I like, which is good information for me to know :)

I was gifted rollerball of this scent from my sister. It has become by my main purse perfume: the one I keep on me when I need to freshen up after a long day at work or a night out at bars. One of my colleagues actually complimented me on it. It's a very fresh-smelling floral/aquatic scent, like flowers in running water. Like most Nest perfumes, the scent is about as long-lasting as a body spray. Even though I enjoy wearing this perfume, I would never buy a full bottle because I do not think it would be worth the money. I think the way I have been using it--just to freshen up when I need to--is the only way I would want to wear it.

I blind bought the small roller bottle because I love wisteria and was intrigued by the notes. It is a pleasant floral, but it turns very quickly into a powder fragrance, which I don't much care for. I grow three different kinds of wisteria, and I can tell you that this isn't that fragrance, which is insanely gorgeous. I do detect white florals with a slight rose note. Longevity seems just moderate to me. It is a soft skin fragrance barely detectable four hours after being applied to my skin. I will likely use up my bottle but not purchase another.

This is a pleasant fragrance, more fresh than floral. Watery notes are strong, and it smells like freesia, though freesia is not listed in the description. I do not detect rose at all, which was primarily the reason I did a blind buy. Oddly, it reminds me of a fragrance I tried nearly 30 years ago - Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds and Sapphires, which does list freesia in its notes. I yad received a gift set with minis of all the Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds fragrances, and Sapphires was the only one I actually wore.

This is nice, but something in here smells abrasive and almost screechy as if there is an unlisted note of freesia or peony (both notes that come across screechy/chemical fresh to my nose). I think this would actually smell much better without the 'aquatic' watery notes in it, too, but I suppose that's the purpose of this scent. The wisteria note is strong, yet soft and quite beautiful but it's overpowered by that abrasive, harsh chemical undertone.

This is such a realistic floral fragrance, like I totally feel as if I am walking through a garden where the wisteria, roses and jasmine are in bloom. You can smell the flowers, the nectar, and the leafy green-ness, where it's capturing the scent of the entire garden and not just the flower. While I am not usually a fan of aquatic notes, I appreciate it in here because it adds some levity and prevents it from being a cloying floral fragrance.

Blind bought a travel size cause I saw it was getting discontinued. Opening kind of smells like laundry with a hint of florals. As it dries down, you can definitely smell the florals and watery notes. It is a nice fresh pleasant inoffensive scent. Great for summer and spring. Although it is veryyyyy light and does not last long. After fifteen minutes you have to put your arm very close to your nose to smell.

I love wisteria and dragonflies, and when I saw a note saying this is similar to Jo Malone's Wild Bluebell, I immediately blind bought it because I adore JM's Wild Bluebell. I don't love this as much as I do JM's Wild Bluebell, I think the rose note is much stronger here and so Wisteria Blue is "heavier" than Wild Bluebell. But I do like this, though. Nice floral scent, very feminine.

It almost has that same damp spring note in Clinique Happy? There’s a splashy clean freshness that I associate with the orange perfume. Maybe it’s the “designer” finish to this scent - you sense the blend, not the notes. SFW, it’s nice! edit ok lol ok so happy and wisteria blue smell the same because: orange and blue are complementary colors on the color wheel, see? (no lol weirdo)

It immediately reminds me of when I used to work at Yankee Candle 16 years ago. This is exactly how my store smelled during Spring. It’s definitely a very fresh, young, youthful type floral. This scent definitely signifies SPRING. It definitely has unique qualities which I really love.

I was gifted the Nest discovery EDP set. Wisteria blue stood out for me. It feels like all the flowers are thrown in ball of water with slices of lemon. So all the notes are mixed and the water is taming any excess sharpness or sweetness. It is very quiet, summery and inoffensive.

Not my usual choice in scents, but something about this scent keeps me sniffing my wrist. I'm not familiar with the scent of wisteria, although I believe that's what I'm finding so alluring. A unique floral and the bottle is gorgeous.

This is pleasant. A definite floral fragrance but not so in your face about it, more like the promise of it. It's very interesting - I constantly find myself smelling my wrist again to try to unravel the complexity of it.
