Coco Fleur

Salty sweet sunscreen in a good way. I mostly get the bergamot, ylang ylang, coconut and sandalwood. I think it smells delicious and lasts decently long (about 6 hours). It’s not coconut dominant tho the florals are most noticeable but that’s not a bad thing. I don’t think it’s musky or masculine but that’s just my nose. My coworker also loved it and complimented it. I really enjoy this fragrance house.

I’m sad I got this so late into the season. It’s strong but subtle, it’s sexy, it’s salty and it’s creamy, with a slightly heady floral. I’ve compared it to some of my other coco theme scents and this one smells the cleanest, with the most photorealistic florals coming through. It’s very enjoyable and will cheer me up on a winter day when I’m dreaming of the beach

I love coconut and this hits the spot without being sunscreenish. It’s a milky coconut and fresh floral fragrance. The closest perfume I’ve smelled that is similar is MUGLER Alien Goddess Intense. It’s very unique, pretty and I get tons of compliments. It also lasts about 6 hours on my skin and even longer on my clothes.

I think this opens up with what most people interpret as grandma white florals but this summer its all im obsessed with. After a while, it settles into this warm coconut milk powder musk that smells like warm skin and the right sunscreen. I mix this with a coconut sea salt forward body oil and I get the most compliments.

Sweet, warm, creamy, beachy, solar floral, sunny, fresh, citrusy, sensual, slightly woody To me this is a lovely, sweet, warm and creamy, floral coconut. It has a sunny and sensual beachy feel to it, but without that suntan lotion kind of scent (think Bobbi Brown Beach and Replica Beach Walk, although I do love both as well). The bergamot and pink pepper are subtle, they just bring a very nice freshness to this with just a whisper of citrus. The syrupy sweet orange blossom and creamy ylang ylang are very prominent throughout. The sweet and beachy coconut and golden warmth of the ambrette are also very prominent throughout. I get just a soft Sandalwood in the dry down, but it does round out the sweetness some. I don’t get a masculine dry down at all (like I do with Ellis Brooklyn Miami Nectar), so to me this feels feminine. I am very strongly reminded of Alien Goddess Intense with this. I do really enjoy the orange blossom here, whereas Alien Goddess Intense has jasmine and jasmine tea instead. I get really good performance with Coco Fleur. The longevity is nice, it lasts most of the day on me. The projection is decent, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. Just for some reference, some of my other favorite beachy/coconut scents include Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Kilian Sunkissed Goddess, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, JHAG Lust For Sun, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, and Alien Goddess.

Wow, blew me away with an artificial coconut and flower combo! While it's very loud at first, it does not last long surprisingly. Very screechy and my least favorite of the Nette set. After several hours, the coconut scent and tamed florals are quite nice, but by this time I can barely smell it so it's not functional for me. ETA: I decided to give this another try using paper. It starts with a slight scent of bergamot but mostly coconut and bananaey ylang ylang. It then adds some orange flower. It is very creamy straight to through to the middle notes. It smells less artificial on paper, but the drydown is still a bit synthetic. I had a much better experience on paper, it came off less synthetic and very pretty. I upgraded to a like.

This is quite nice. I need to test again to recall how it develops, but Coco Fleur settles into a really lovely, luxe sort of uplifting coconut. Definitely slightly powdery (a little like an old lady's powder room) but I would consider it more uplifting and fresh on the whole. Hard to find a coconutty solar that also smells so sophisticated, so this gets approval from me. I do notice, however, that when I sit next to people, many don't seem to love it—it is quite strong and perhaps something of an acquired taste; it probably should not be sprayed where others will have to smell you up close for an extended amount of time (oops).

Another refreshing offering from Nette, this one being based around coconut. Beachy, tropical, without being sunscreeny. It's pretty comparable to Alien Goddess Intense, but not quite as good, imo (I'm attached to my Alien Goddess Intense!). But if you're looking for a floral coconut blend that won't be as "cloying" or as identifiable as an Alien flanker, this is great. Like a glass of cold, sweetened coconut water surrounded by ylang-ylang and orange blossom. The soft ambrette base is so cozy.

This smells more like Alien Goddess by Mugler than Alien Goddess itself. I'll explain what I mean. To me, Alien Goddess was intended to be a coconutty sunscreen flanker of Alien. And it is indeed a lovely sunny coconut concoction. But Coco Fleur IS Alien with a twist of salty creamy coconut.

Cloying white floral with coconut and amber. It's quite perfumey, in a sense of inorganic ingredients. Mature, and possibly with different chemistry than mine this could be ok. I think I smelled this on someone before and I can see how this could work for some. It does have a summer feel, white florals jasmine and tuberose with coconut, musk and amber. It's overpowering for my taste. Moderate silage, it hangs around for some time. Did not work out for me due to heavy duty white florals and cheapo perfumey vibe.

A white floral, coconut beach scent is usually one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I cannot get on board with this fragrance. The opening is a very artificial coconut with a screechy jasmine. The white floral does mellow and the coconut thankfully fades as it dries down... But I would much rather invest in one of the many white floral coconut fragrances that are beautiful from start to finish... Like La Mar from House of Bo or Quattro Pizzi by Xerjoff.

I enjoyed this when I first tested it, but as it dried down I found it increasingly unpleasant. It smells a bit like Zote laundry soap, but unfortunately not in a pleasant way. There's a saltiness to this that is surprising. Definitely not a sweet or creamy coconut.

I got the sample version of this (thank God); because it smells awful to me, and is not my kind of scent. I describe it as someone slathered sunscreen on a dead body and then tried to cover to up the smell even more with stanky floral grandma perfume.

Solar skin and luscious conditioned hair. Decluttered it because it smelled like a hair salon. Wasn’t my vibe but smells very nostalgic.

Reminds me of powdery coco butter / baby lotion. Not sunscreeny. Fairly unique fragrance profile IMO.

People really dislike this one. I'm on the opposite spectrum. I can see how some may not like it, it's LOUD. But, I have about 40 coconutty and beachy frags in my collection and nothing like this. I swear I get a lot of tuberose and ylang, but no one mentions the tuberose? This is an extramly sweet FLORAL mainly and with prominent coconut. Very vibrant and sweet. I tested and bought this in autumn and its lovely. I'd compare it to D&G the only one intense, but it's not a dupe, just shares the similarity, coconut and the creaminess mainly. It's not suncreeny or solar or salty either so hard to pinpoint where is it if I'm looking through all the body mists or beach-summer frags from my collection. Really though one. And definitely not a safe blind buy if you're not into florals or dislike coconut. Even all the suggested simar scents don't help here.

I'm not a big fan of overly coconutty, tropical scents, so I was surprised by how much I enjoy this. It's not groundbreaking, but it's an eminently pleasant floral kissed with coconut. The orange blossom and ylang ylang are just marginally the focus. The coconut reads as husky and woody rather than milky or creamy, blended as it is with sandalwood and ambrette. Bergamot and pepper add a touch of brightness without imposing themselves too much. It's a sunnier, more easygoing version of the brand's La Foret, and will likely please fans of that fragrance. I can't see this going over particularly well with people looking for a more straightforward, pina colada style coconut, but as an earthier take on the note, it's very nice.

This reminds me of Versace Crystal Noir. It is a lighter, floatier, sweeter version of the more velvety feeling Versace fragrance. It definitely has a much sharper more overwhelming top note which I assume is the c02 and it’s a little off putting. But once that wears off I find it to be like a little sister version of the Crystal Noir. Or maybe the Crystal Noir is the winter version, and Coco Fleur is for summers. In any case it has good sillage and for me lasts, which is something I appreciate in a fragrance and makes it seem like a good value.

I think she’s pretty. It opens with the pink pepper top note for a little spice, but it’s mild, and quickly develops into creamy coconut milk with fresh yellow flowers. This isn’t a candied, juvenile coconut; it’s grown and lactonic. It almost crosses the line into sickly sweet, but it hugs the rail until the sandalwood in the base grounds it. Oh, and there is definitely a salty accord that shines even if it’s not listed in the notes. Nette itself describes the scent as a “salty lips...a coconut kiss”. Yes, a sexy, salty, coconut kiss.

This smells salty, fresh, and indistinct. There is a musky sweetness at the heart of this that I thiiiink comes from the coconut, but is not distinguishable enough for me to immediately pick up that this is a coconut based fragrance. It's light and hardly lasts on my skin. I generally find that white florals + coconut = sunscreeny, but this is not particularly sunscreeny. When the white florals start to bloom, the saltiness remains. An interesting take on white florals!
