New Leather

as i was on my quest to find the dupe of a perfume i am missing, i came across the sample set from new notes, normally i wouldnt spend money on the 2ml sample sizes, but after smelling their cherry perfume, which reminded me of someone i dearly miss, i simply bought the sample sizes. at first when i tried out new leather, i thought "oh well another leather scent.. thats not really for me" and so i sprayed it on my wrist and then on my faux leather jackets (i was feeling smart). and then after a while i noticed that the scent was developing beautifully on my wrist and since i put it on both wrists it mixed on one side with the cherry sample, creating an even more magnificent scent. but since i used up all of my sample size, i thought i must be projecting, maybe it was just the combination with the sweet dripping cherry scent.. oh but the next days i was proven wrong. i now when i closed my door instinctively leaned everytime against my faux leather jackets, sniffing every ounce i could get from "new leather" on them. well.. then i thought maybe, as so often with scents that originally weren't the objectives of the never ending scent quest, i would grow tired of it. well, i can say i didnt get tired of it, i made sure to get every remaining drop out of that sample size, alone, mixed, while still sniffing every time my jackets on the door. will i buy the fb of the scent? yes probably, extremely likely. and for those wondering if it's safe blind buy, i can only recommend getting the sample size and see for yourselves. also i dislike every scent which has patchouli in it, just not this one. it works. surprisingly. and to round up my review i will try to elaborate the scent profile: it starts very leathery, like one of those extremely expensive, not yet sweaty, leather jackets smells like, which exudes a certain poshness yet rebellion, a jacket from someone who is a well combed and well traveled at once, who is styled unstyled. someone who would take out a crumbling rustic looking cigarette with tobacco coming from both ends only to light it up with an extravagant lighter. but new leather doesnt end here. it doesn't just tell the story of a sophisticated leather jacket, it whispers also the tale from whats underneath, maybe a perfume, maybe something hidden in the inner pockets, and the longer you listen to the story of the scents the more you realise it's also a warmth that embraces you further, like a secretive welcomed hug and the desire to feel it more. and if you feel like telling even a longer story, it layers extremely well with even sweeter scents, takes them in like a rebel takes in the starry eyed optimist.. but no fighting, just a warm embrace.

Super luxurious and OMG this is good. I am usually not a huge fan of sharp synthetic leather mess, but this one is not the boring leather you often hear. This is somewhat insanely well-blended, not sharp or weak but perfectly balanced. Smells slightly tiny bit of INTERLUDE MAN from AMOUAGE, but not close because NEW LEATHER does not have that spicy/balsamic-spicy accord. Trust me, I wear fragrances like INGENIOUS GINGER, SIDE EFFECT and LAYTON. So this perfume, if you look at the name and accords you probably think it wont "fit" me and that I wouldn't like it. But it's completely the opposite. This one is insanely good and I don't know why but it feels addicting, screams luxury and soooooo well balanced. You don't get any sharp, synthetic or hazy blazy notes that screech ur nose. It's very high quality and luxurious, scent wise 9/10, silage 8/10, longevity 10/10 and projection 8/10. Btw, the rest of the line are on the same tracks, tried LATTE DI CHERRY and it was surprisingly good, because I expected a sharp synthetic cherry or too feminine leaning, as many people would expect. No, it is not there at all... It's sweet, cherry, vanilla and amber/musky, slightly sweet, but as the name "latte" suggests, a milky/amber/musky bottom-layer that works as a backup to uphold the sweetness. For this it is 8.2/10 scent, silage 7/10, longevity 8.5/10 and projection 8.5/10. Another one worth mentioning is COCKTAIL MARACUJA. This one citrusy, sweet, tropical and boozy with some spiciness. It is incredibly complex. I have smelt over 1200+ fragrances and to my nose it not similar to anything I have smelt. You see similar recommendations like Kirke or Erba Pura, but oh no.. well, it is 0% identical or close to any of these two. COCKTAIL MARACUJA, as the name suggests, is a tropical fruity blended with ginger cardamom and spiciness, to create a super complex exotic cocktail type of smelling bubble. I would describe it as a strawberry cola blended with passionfruit and a smooth amber-musk base to meet the main accords in the middle. Tropical, strawberry, wet, sexy and boozy smell, with a slight touch of spiciness. For this it is 9/10 scent, silage 7.8/10, longevity 8/10 and projection 6/10. Again, please smell them yourselves before judging and reading reviews from here or Parfumo. We all have different noses. Cheers.

This is a beautiful leather scent. It’s mostly leather but you can also get a hint of a flower base. Many will think this leans masculine but anyone can pull this off. Very much a femme fatale scent! On me this is beast mode and the projection is beautiful and filling! I smell the scent on me forever! This will last more than 8 hours and remain strong. I’d say it’s a night scent, if you want attention and compliments wear this. It definitely fills the room and announces you before you enter, if you’re ok with this, wear this! I wore it to a nightclub and received soooo many compliments. It’s one of my favorite in my collection. I cant wait for fall so I can wear this in the daily! I have two other ms by new notes: Talco and latte di cherry, which I also love! Try the brands discovery set, I think I want them all!!

I love leather as a note in perfumery, so my opinion might be highly subjective. To me, this is a quite a velvety fragrance, which balances soft suede and the right mix of oriental spices. The result is a powdery-leathery fragrance, which I personally wear anytime (expect on hot summer days), in the amount suitable to the circumstances (3-4 sprays for daytime wear, 7-8 sprays for nighttime wear, because it's not a super loud scent, but can gets noticed nevertheless. Will I repurchase it? Yes, for sure.

A very well-balanced and grounding, but very elegant fragrance. More suitable for evening, but could totally be appropriate in the daytime. Definitely compliments the coziness of autumn and winter. The mental representation I get of this is if an expensive exquisite suede handbag itself wore perfume, this is what it would smell like. Although masculine leaning, on a woman I would imagine it being sexy and confidence-driving in a calm, controlled, non vulgar attenting-seeking way.

I'm out of words, this is one of the best scents I have ever smelled, it is not like these other leather beasts that leave you noseless when smelling them, it's much softer and elegant, but it still keeps the good projection and sillage. 10/10 for me.

It is a unique, soft, calming leathery, bit sweet iris fragrance. Absolutely for gentlemans, fall and winter seasons. Suitable for smart-casual & elegant clothes. Longevity is ~ 6 hours, sillage is intimate/moderate.

Like stepping into a new Ferrari car, all leather and expensive , men react very positively to a woman wearing this, sexy!

Just tried it at the store. The atomizer seemed shit and barely worked, I wish I remembered to look if the bottle was close to empty or if it really was the atomizer. if it was then I'd be pretty upset for the way it was squirting. I like this scent, it started off as beast mode, the type of smell that made me blush a bit, thinking am I going to smell this strong all day at work ? within about 15 minutes it's calmed down considerably. I like the smell of leather, it's a smell I didn't like early on, but am starting to appreciate it more, as I start to explore more classic masculine scents.

i am not a fan of strong, bold leather, so this one is right up my alley! very soft, creamy. Like!

نیو لدر برای من شبیه ترکیب امبر لدر تام فورد و فالکون لدر هست اون حس چرمی امبر لدر رو با وجه اسپایسی فالکون لدر ترکیب کنیم شاید چنین چیزی بشه شروع این عطر رقص برگاموت لا به لای روایح اسپایسی و خاکیه حس خاکی ای که گره خورده با نت های ادویه ای،خصوصا بوی جوز هندی خیلی شفاف به مشام می‌رسه چرم اینجا انیمالیک نیست و سبز هم نیست بلکه در کنار نت های ادویه ای؛چهره‌ی موقری پیدا کرده به مرور وجه چوبی عطر قدرت می گیره که علاوه بر حالت تراشه ای داشتن،پودری هم هست یک ساعت اول اسپری بسیار قدرتمند عمل می کنه اما بعد از اون اُفت محسوس ای داره ولی تا 14،15 ساعت روی پوست حس میشه و روی لباس که بیشتر از این حرفا خوبه ولی عطر من نیست -تست شده از نسخه‌ی 2021- ************* scent:7/10 longevity:8/10 sillage:7/10 purchase value:2/10 ******** overall:6/10

So, finally got to test NN set and new leather is interesting, though very soft. It sits directly on/low above skin even if applied amply. You get fresh new black leather out of the box, but dont await any hard animalic or stable undertones as there are only very easy hints of clean animalic reflections, everything subdued by creamy marseille soap and wrapped by soft spring violet greenery. No suede, wood, saphron or cinnamon, intimate sillage moderate longevity - on the easy and safe side.

Very similar to Tuscan Leather.
