Rouge Absolue

Finally bought from a second hand market. Found a lady with a wonderfull stall there (Huddersfield, UK open market Tues n says), huge selection of new and part used fumes. Many rare and miniature (I've put a deposit on Cartier Basier Du Dragon- overjoyed to see that rarity!!) So this 100ml 95% fume was £4. I've started from scratch with home/life, after getting on my feet it was time to start collecting the fume all my old houseb got 7 full size so far and 2 minis. On a tight TIGHT budget so finding a beauty for under a fiver is a RESULT!!! (Note to self - must update "have" list as 95% of it I no longer own) The actual scent reminds me a lot of one of my discontinued faves, which is Miss Sixty Rock Muse. Very similar with the autumnal ripe red berry's, and fruitchouli vibe. OK, no patchouli is listed in Rouge Absolu, but the vibe is there. I cannot distinguish any single floral or spice, it's extremely smoothly blended and Next have done well. The name and bottle suits the fume PERFECTLY. Warm, sensual, autumnal, fruity, comforting, vibrant are the words that come to mind. When to wear? it could suit either an chilly late after noon walk with the kids picking berry's to make home made pies, or an adults date night, black dress and red lips, sipping on a dark and fruity cocktail. These are the images it brings to mind. Smells quality,bottle has high end feel and look, performs well in silage and longevity. Red is the "IT" color this season, What's not to love. This is on my A/W heavy rotation shelf, stocking up is needed. 9/10 from me.

YES!! I DO love both Armani Si and EA Always Red - and this!!! Gorgeous!!!! And sooo long lasting and great sillage! Powerful!! Delightfully sensual, exotic and luxuriously feminine!!! Divine!!! And a glorious bottle!!!

Absolutely wonderful perfume. This is very similar to Armani Si. It’s a lovely sweet perfume. Long lasting and well priced. I have bought my third bottle of this perfume, I love it so much.

Just tested 2hr ago in Next. Still going strong. Very impressed with this at £12 for 100ml. Smells expensive !!

Just unbelievable value for money. Longevity and sillage both satisfactory, plenty of scrumptious whiffs throughout the wearing: sandalwood, cassis ... pretty much "what it says on the tin"! (going by the notes-list on the box). All that betrays this as a cheapy is that it is a bit 'plasticky', as in like a plastic imitation wood or metal (or whatever) item in its overall feel. But a decent plastic imitation whatever article - one that actually does work and do the trick, and doesn't break in no time. Actually, sandalwood isn't listed, either here or on the box. I'm almost certain I got a whiff of it, though. But there's so much residual perfume in my house ... who knows! And it's probably all aromachemicals anyway - perhaps one of them 'overlaps' with sandalwood.

This has been a repeat buy for me since it was released. I've just got myself another bottle, so it's a definite love for me :) The notes listed on the box and website combined are Top notes: Mandarin Plum and Red Fruits Middle Notes: Jasmine, Orange flower and Cassis Base Notes: Amber and Tonka. I also get a hint of Sandalwood, though that could be coming from the Tonka. Longevity and projection are pretty good. It's priced at £14 for 100ml, not that you would know that from the scent. The bottle is lovely too. My eye is always drawn to anything red :) I prefer the old design to the new one though.

Picked this up on impulse while I was queuing to buy something else, and I'm very glad I did. Seems to smell a lot like Si, although it is deeper, heavier and admittedly less refined. It's the scent I reach for on grey, January days. Rouge Absolue has surprisingly good sillage and longevity for a cheapie. The matching body lotion is also gorgeous and particularly rich. With the two combined the scent wafted all evening, hours after applying, and I could still smell it on my hair the next morning! Can't go wrong with this one for the money!

This was one of the first perfumes I bought for myself. When I wore it, I felt grown up and sophisticated. A sexy fragrance for night

If you like Armani Si & Elizabeth Arden always red you'll love this. It smells the same as both of these & it lasts 12+ hours on me. Well worth a purchase as the 100ml is only £12

I sprayed this on the back of my hands between 1:30 and 2pm this afternoon, it's now 9:42pm and I can still smell it! Wow, and it's only £12 for 100ml

A really nice fragrance, smells powerful. Smells expensive and reminds me of Estee Lauder Modern Muse Rouge!
