Adorem

Beautiful deep amber resinous and delicious. Goes just far enough not to be overpowering given the heft of the notes. This could be far more expensive than it is and I wouldn’t be surprised. I would say whilst it is nothing like Shalimar Tonka or Babycat it will sit beside them on my shelf. Not as sweet as many ambers are these days but not dry either. Hard to describe but certainly has a feel of well blended, traditional amber done with excellence. If you want an evening fragrance of exceptional quality without spending the earth I would 100% recommend this. Leans feminine on first sniff but I think a man could easily carry this. There is nothing extraneous or frivolous about this perfume, no gimmick or aping of popular scents. It smells like it ought to be worn by someone with quiet confidence. A safe blind buy for a deep amber. Given the cost it’s a low risk punt. Projection is proportionate to how much sprayed. Dries down to a warm inviting vibe. Sexy but not in your face. Love this, a total winner.

This is so beautiful and a great example of how a relatively simple scent profile is anything but simplistic. I get mostly deep, very dark incense and cocoa. However, even though I can't pick out elemi, pink pepper, vanilla, etc. myself, I'm sure they are all playing their parts to make a for a cohesive whole because it smells more complex than just incense-cocoa. At first spray, the cocoa is actually slightly more chocolatey and in direct contrast to the earthy, smoky incense. As it dries down the cocoa becomes drier and dustier and begins to play more of a supporting role to the incense. In the deep drydown, the patchouli is noticeable but still well-harmonized with the cocoa and incense. Lasts a long time, projects pretty well at first and then becomes more of a light sillage sort of affair but keeps me coming back for more throughout. Just ordered bottles #2 & 3. Wish it came larger than 15ml!!

Adorem is the gourmand incense that I never knew I needed in my life. It reminds me of when I had a frankincense chocolate a number of years ago—yes, a bar of chocolate with actual frankincense resin. My nose reads equal measures of olibanum, elemi, and cacao in its heart, simmering to a smoky cedar. It has a dry, delicious umber warmth, at the crossroads of comforting hygge and melancholy nostalgia. Its perfect for spacing out at a dusty windowsill, staring at the frost on the pane on a blustery winter day, admiring the patterns that form, while listening to the crackle of the fireplace.

I've smelled a lot of other perfumes that offer this type of nutty, resinous, chocolatey scent, but this is the only one that doesn't have a horrible, harsh fixative underlying it all. This is an absolutely wonderful perfume, delicious and addictive, gourmand but dry. It looks like they've bought it back recently after it'd been impossible to find for a while. It would be really great if it were available in bigger formats, but as the performance is great, 15ml is better than nothing. Perfect for cold weather.

Just got back from a concert, wearing head-to-toe black & drenched in Adorem. It was so fitting. Smoky incense, patchouli & cedar, + bitter cocoa. It's dark, earthy, the tiniest bit sweet, intense yet not oppressive-- surprisingly wearable. I layered it with some patchouli oil and it worked so well. The price point vs quality cannot be beat. If you're a fan of incense or "dark" scents, this is a no-brainer. One of my most successful blind-buys.

I don't get chocolate or vanilla - this is pure, dark, black incense for me. It's absolutely beautiful. I wish they'd release it as a "normal" perfume - as is, I cannot wear it often for fear I'll never be able to get it again.

This fragrance only gets better in time. After about two hours it’s pure incense. Very nice!

This is a well made fragrance from NEZ that'll satisfy your hankering for the smell of Catholic Church incense should you have one. It has all the scent trappings of the voluminous plume of smoke the priest would fill the church with on special occasions when purification was the desired effect. Incense of the highest order. ✨

The chocolate and vanilla make this remind me of some kind of burnt dessert.

Smoky frankincense against dry patchouli amber linked by bitter cacao What a find! Possibly the best of 2025 so far. The epitome of perfume as evocative art, Adorem is refreshingly captivating, genuine and luscious in its presentation, presented without any cliches. The way I conceptualise this fragrance is essentially a transition of frankincense gradually merging into cedar into patchouli, cloaked in a dark and dusty cacao accord with a distantly present vanillic gourmand element ‚bubbling‘ underneath. Almost like the back room of a small bakery, wood stove with frankincense burning on it, a dusty almost soot-like quality is there, however smells of dry pastries are also subtly perceivable, a cake dusted with heaps of cacao, subtly bittersweet. Lovely stuff, comforting, plush, like peering through a dark sepia filter. Surprisingly wearable if you are not put off by the dustier, sooty elements. A winter staple for me.
