Trini Girl

Very different from what Nicki Minaj usually gives the perfume world. An improvement. It smells so much better on my mom so I gave it to her and she loves it. Her comments on the bottle were hilarious, she doesnt know who Nicki is lol so she thought it's an Egyptian woman haha. She likes the bottle tho. When she wears it it smells so much like Charlotte Russe's original Refuge perfume, which we both really really loved for years(and still own 3 bottles of it lol) so I asked her if she has that on. I love smelling it on her. It's a classy scent yet youthful, smells sweet but alil "spicy" green to me, intense, must be the middle notes, but dont get any coconut,it wouldnt be fitting anyway. Update: I repurchased this for me. So this is like a tropical sister of Mon Paris, less mature (no rose), more youthful and light. The green notes here act like fresher less spicy patchouli and give me that connection to Mon Paris. On me it smells different than on my mom, which is an awesome quality for a perfume to have. This way you can wear the same perfume and be unique. Also it is close to Ciao by Vince Camuto, less sweet as Ciao, less pink - Ciao is drier yet sweeter than Trini Girl. Same family also as Pink Rush by Paris, which is a grown-up scent to me, not as herbal and green as Pink Rush. I see Trini Girl as a unique fragrance in that league with its own character.

This bad boy right here is juicy magic. Anyone who knows me knows I love a “juicy” scent and this takes the cake! 2005 Escada Rockin rio but way better!!! That is what Trini Girl smells like. I used to wear the original Rockin rio in high school and it was great. The rereleased version from 2011 is a sharp mess and an instant scrubber for me. Upon first spray of Trini Girl I was instantly reminded of my first love perfume. Trini Girl is nicer than Rockin rio though because it is slightly softer and sweeter. I think the coconut really helps to keep this mellow. Everything in this perfume is done right. I’m not huge on floral notes but I love the florals in this fragrance. The sorbet helps to keep it “juicy” through the entire wear. This is going to be my go to scent this summer for sure. Love love love!!!

I am very surprised. Trini Girl by Nicki Minaj is very different! All her fragrances are sweet and fresh, or juicy. This one is like an explosion of exotic flowers and sorbet. Trini Girl is amazing like other fragrances by Nicki Minaj. Love her signature Pink Friday but this one is so woman-like :)

This smells more green/floral to me than fruity, but it does somehow smell sweet. I think the way the notes interact makes this smell sophisticated. I feel like celebrity scents have an unfair reputation of being sickly sweet or synthetic. This smells more expensive than it is. I'd rate this 8/10.
