Arabian Gardens

Do you sometimes feel that perfumes in the oriental scent family could be a little to spicy, to loud or to much? Do you sometimes having trouble finding an oriental scent that you can wear to office? That smells warm, cozy and spicy but without disturbing people? Well, Arabian Gardens can be the perfume you ́re looking for? It ́s warm, sweet, a little fruity, woody, exotic but at the same time so very thin and elegant as the lightest florals. Tjis is one of the strangest oriental scents that I ́ve encountered. It ́s pretty, fleeting, soft but also unforgettable and very sofisticated. It makes me think of golden arabian arabesque patterns, a garden where you can find shadow and enjoy the sound of fontains and exotic birds singing. Like being trained in calligraphy by an old, patient calligraphy master. The notes confuses me a little. The start isn ́t at all green on my skin, but more like sweet fruits, sunripe orange, tangerine and mango that slowly with warm notes from the cutest roses and glowing safron, and then the dryness from vetiver and papyrus show up eventually and little by little. Such a cherful, happy an refined fragrance. I also got some really nice wood accords, like sandal, gaiac and maybe a little rosewood. A MUST try, no matter what kind of perfumes you ́re usually in to. A little on the sweet side, but I think it would be suitable for men also. Surprisingly longlasting and just enough sillage.

many years ago at the beginning of my fragrance journey I tested this and was also contemplating buying a bottle. Interestingly, after testing hundreds of fragrances, I admit I've become harder to impress and yet this still comes across unique. Surprised it has only got one review so far! Here to help with a second, hopefully! I'm not sure that looking at the notes reflects how it comes across. Am big on roses but Arabian Gardens does not really smell rose-y, so if it's there, it's blended equally with the other ones. On the other hand, I'm having a really hard to time to see why it falls into green and woody category. First impressions - this frag is warm and sensual to me, very plush, feminine, like a feline soul lurking through the eyes of the woman.
