Nike The Perfume Man

This is a gorgeous italianesque understated fragrance, lavender is most prominent at first then the sweetness of honey & dry tobacco compete in the heart. Drydown is earthy, herbal & woody with a slight musky overtone. D&G Pour Homme Original, Italian Sticker Version is remarkably the one that inspired this Nike The Perfume Man! Tested both together & the Nike has an immediate deja-vu effect maybe because of the brand new volatile top notes with Lavender. D&G OG had that same sparkling effect of the top notes, but in time I'm sure the volatility of the top notes in My OG bottle seem to have died down considerably. Alas... But I'm more than pleased with Nike perfume, it carries the DNA with style & still manages to not pinch heavy on the pocket either. Big Thumbs Up... NIKE! Blind Buy not recommended of course, but if U crave the classic OG D&G Pour Homme Italian Version then this Nike is a no-brainer really. Also if U like the latest D&G Intenso surely U will adore Nike the Perfume Man. Olfactory rewards outweigh the price & performance of this Nike perfume, so I won't bother describing the bargain price as well as the average performance. Do try this gem of a fragrance, highly recommend!

This is really nice. Starts off with a symphonic (and vaguely Naxos-like) combination of lavender, honey, and tobacco, with additional whispers of basil, maple, and possibly labdanum. There's something faintly aldehydic about the way the fragrance plays out on the skin in the first few minutes: soapy and clean, but also a bit reminiscent of that indescribable pastry-dough smell. After about 20 minutes, the juice flattens into a more linear sweet and smoky scent. It's definitely a comedown from the first part, but still very, very pleasing. Projection is on the softer side, which may explain why this smells quite unisex to me. Becomes a skin scent in about 3-4 hours, but for this price point, adding those few extra sprays doesn't feel like a sacrifice. I got a 30ml for less than $30, and calling that a steal would be an understatement.

This is one of the gems within budget category. Price in EU is about 8-10 EUR. This is a warm, woody and clean scent. Dominant notes are lavender, cedarwood with a hint of mint and basil. There is a bit of sweetness however it's in the background. Longevity is very good, while silage is OK only. It does not project like a beast but you get a good 2 or 3 hours of projection. Longevity is better you can smell the soapy scent for 12 or more hours on skin. Stays on clothes for days. Very good fragrance, somewhat reminiscent of Lancome and Dior Homme. It is not a powerhouse but offers a very decent kick for the price. I see it as a safe scent. Can recommend. Together with Nike brown man these two frags are likely to be the best of what Nike has to offer.

Stunning! This fragrance is an absolute piece of art! Incredibly well crafted and not following any of the current trends. Maple, Honey, Basil, Tobacco, Lavender, Clary Sage blended to perfection. Warmth, distinct freshness and comfort done in an eternal, classy manner. Performance is very good as well, steady, never shouting yet always present. The packaging, the bottle and the sprayer are of best quality. Price vs quality is absolutely unbeatable!

This is a "youtube made me buy it" fragrance, and I am soo happy that I did. I first saw it on the wonderfull Scent Land-channel, where Chris hyped it to the skies. This frag is soooo cosy. The scent is so pleasant and warm. I dont get all the notes, but it doesnt matter, I just love to wear it, and thanks again to Chris.

not for kids. mature smell and very nice. green notes and cypress hits very deliciously. I said it's mature fragrance though but it is nice for 30's to 50's! I think not many people would hate this smell. overall it's harmonized well

...so I finally figured what it reminds me of: a easy going, calm, sunny, Sunday morning with the Family. Breakfast on the table, kids being happy, newspaper and a cup of tea pair up well with the smile of your wife. Perfect.

Very matured fragrance for the older gentleman. Wouldn't recommend for anyone below 35.

Edit: in the 3 weeks since writing the negative review below, I've actually grown to really like this one (and i've changed it from "OK" to a strong "Like"). It's an airy, a bit green and fresh, tobacco scent. It's an excellent value for the money. It's also much better and more wearable than the Dreamer, which i remember as a bit heavy. Or perhaps my tastes have changed - and i should give the dreamer another try as well. Original review: This is not my type of perfume, so i can't say much about it. But it reminds me A LOT of Versace the Dreamer, which I've owned for a few years. Pretty sure it's quite interchangeable, for all intents and purposes. Now, I haven't used The Dreamer in many years, but i used it quite a lot ~8 years ago.

Have mine since 2019/2020 and recently found it again, I think the smell became much smoother than before. This is my high school perfume got few compliments wearing this. The Lavender, Basil, and Musk is what I smell right now (tbh I can't really determine what I smell in here but theres smooth mint with a hint of sweetness in it). This is very easy to wear than ADG in my opinion, perfect for intense summer heat and yes this gives cologne/air freshener/hotel lobby scent but in a good sexy way.

I can smell 2 main notes here: dry tobacco + honey. To my opinion the honey is the note which save it. Overall NIKE is a nice fragrance at a very good price!

Review for the Intense Version as it is not yet listed on fragrantica. Notes: Bergamot, Cardamom, Lavender, Cedar, Vetiver, Musk. Yes, judging by the notes alone, you would not be wrong to assume it is a clone of La Nuit De L'homme. For the price, its a pretty good clone (85%) with the focus a bit more on the cedar(which gives it a prominent woodiness in the mid) rather than the cardamom bomb people associate vintage LNDL with. The musk helps give it a "sweetness" that makes it more rounded. Longevity is decent about 5 hours (4 sprays) on the skin in moderate humidity and cool temperatures (28°C/82°F). Projection is moderate but becomes a skin scent quite quickly (30 mins). In all, not too much different from Zara Y. This is cheaper than Zara Y ($8.50 vs $19.90) in my country so your mileage may vary. EDIT: 14/4/2020 Just saw Joy Amin gave this post a shout out and made a video about this frag. Thought I'd reciprocate, go check his channel out!

okay. i read the box description and i liked the perception of how the scent will be. "this fragrance for man is built on contrasts. a combo of lavender and freshly cut greens balances out the intensity of rich woods, while the warmth of honey and earthiness of tobacco add an eunexpected touch and give the perfume its character. slightly exotic but incredibly masculine" Very nice description. The scent is almost exactly the same as the one described. A bit generic though but still good. Unfortunately, it lacks longevity. I spray a lot around my neck and arm but after 30 minutes, all is gone. Otherwise, the scent is not bad. nothing special but not all the way cheap/generic either. the box and the bottle are both classy. i like the minimalistic approach of the bottle. Hope the longevity was better though. But at its price point, hard to really complain since its priced very very very low anyway.

This Nike smells like a high quality soap. If you want to smell clean this is a really great option (considering the price). It has good longevity (6 hours) and moderate projection. Not suitable for dating, and it is not the best option for young people. Great for office, formal or semiformal wear, at fall and spring. With high heat could be a little cloying. For less than $10 this is a steal

Just tried this at the local pharmacy in order check what all the hype is about. To me this is in no way anywhere near D&G Pour Home, be that the current formulation or any of the previous ones. And comparisons to Versace's The Dreamer are absolutely out of question. However what this really reminds me of, is a more airy, softer version of Calvin Klein's Eternity.

This is airy, transparent, effervescent, unisex. To me it is light inoffensive powdery. Hint of tobacco. Like 75% CK One and 25% Dreamer. Like you bathed and used soap. Office reach. Family friendly.

This is a very good and cheap alternative to D&G Intenso and Versace Dreamer, i have both in my collection. Very powerfull and long lasting on my skin, so go easy on the sprayer. ;)
