L'Air du Temps Le Crépuscule

I really adore this perfume. I got one for myself and one for mom a few months ago. She loves carnations so I was looking for a carnation perfume for her bday. I thought the notes looked great so I got one for me too. I found on Amazon. She loves the bottle, I thought it’s kind of weird with the feathers...But on to the good stuff This smells divine. Heavenly. Whenever I wear this the next day I smell my clothes or robe and think what is this amazing scent?! Oh! It’s the Crépuscule! It’s very soft and clean smelling, I don’t think of it as spicy. It is long lasting but not overpowering at all. It is just very clean creamy, not clean harsh. Clean line dried clothes. Sunlight filtered through chiffon or lace, or sunlight on water. not powdery or stuffy. Not cloying. Just very dear, very kind, very yummy, darling, lovely, angelic. Light, clear light that is not too bright for your eyes (or nose!) I guess, Crepuscule ‘dusk’ is descriptive! But - I don’t find the hints of nighttime escapades here...! There is something similar in Air de Temps Crépuscule to Lolita Lempicka ‘L’. It has a similar warm, clean, sunlight smell, but L has some heavier notes that are maybe spicier and more complex, more autumnal. Crépuscule is less sexy, but just totally luscious in a different way.

I have to say, this is carnation done right. It's carnation floral with its naturally warm, spicy elements, while somehow smelling like the freshness of a cut flower at the same time. Becomes a little more spicy as it dries down, the more realistic carnation fades a little leaving a more dried carnation or carnation oil scent. This is still lovely and better than many other carnation dominant fragrances that I've tried. On me, this smells a thousand times better than the original L'Air du Temps, which has a strange bitter note I just can't hack. This is a perfect spring or fall fragrance, because of it dual spicy/floral nature. It has both moderate staying power and sillage. If you truly love the scent of carnations, this one is worth hunting down and shelling out for.

My friend has it. Gorgeous bottle. Perfume is nothing spectacular or even all that good. Not bad. Not good. Clean smell. Nice for just out of the shower kind of scent. I suppose.

They blew an opportunity to top the bottle with bats; unforgivable; will not purchase

Beautiful bottle! Not sure I'll like the perfume but I'm excited to try it
