L'Air du Temps Parfum

I remember I made a post in 2019 talking about the emblematic bottles of L’Air du Temps. Six years later, I’m thrilled to have my own treasures in my collection. 🕊️ L’Air du Temps, Vintage (1948) by Nina Ricci. L’Air du Temps, how to say it? It is a testimony of grace and balance. This fragrance embodies a baroque lightness; a bouquet that, in the current context, could be perceived as excessively structured. However, for me, it does not seek to please through saturation, but through harmony. A floral-spicy symphony of ethereal elegance! 🕊️ The fragrance unfolds a complex floral architecture that breathes with the lightness of spices and the smoothness of peach, before revealing a vibrant carnation flower, textured by spicy clove and softened by creamy white flowers. It is such a beautiful composition! Its evolution is slow and serene. Noble woods, ambered and earthy moss accords intertwine with a beautifully portrayed animalic richness of ambergris, alongside the powdery iris that wraps my skin like an ancient caress, leaving a trail of intimacy and contemplation. Here, there are no shrill notes, only symphony. A drydown that settles like a warm and elegant veil. What I have is 6ml of parfum in a flacon. I don't know when it's from, but since barcodes don't exist, it's from at least the 1980s. EMB is 77477. The top notes of this perfume are absolutely stunning. A pure, bright, white, sparkling, heavenly fragrance. More simply, it smells like white soap from a luxury hotel. For me, Nina Ricci is only known for their bright colors and gourmand image, so I was surprised that they made such a beautiful scent. I also usually prefer unique, slightly darker scents, so I didn't expect that I would be drawn to such a white, clean, soapy scent. But anyway, after smelling this top note, I even thought that I needed to make sure I had enough of this parfum to spend the rest of my life. ... until it changes to middle. Hmmm middle. Where did the white, silky, radiant scent go? The scent that was shining white changed to yellow like the package. It continues to be a beautiful scent, but it has become sweeter and more mundane, and has become one of the good but uninteresting scents. The goddess of heaven has become a beauty on earth. I wish I could sniff the top notes of this perfume forever.

In the 90s there was a batch of this perfume that was really beautiful. Sweeter and less drier than the original parfum, that version brings tears to my eyes. It has a tender nostalgic feeling, the feeling that you have when you arrive home after a long trip at your parents' or grandparents' home. Mom has prepared the bed with fresh sheets clean fresh towels. Good breakfast prepared especially for you and this beautiful perfume lingering in the room as you open the window to welcome the sun and the wonderful breeze...
