Gentle Night

It's a light skin scent starts off with a really green marine smell mixed with a bit of leather and then it starts to dry down and you can smell something green and flowery that I can't place- maybe something herbally. I love how this smells. Dry down seems to be very light though so some people who want longevity might not like this.

I have both Santal 33 and Maison Louis Marie No.4 Bois de Balincourt, this one is more similar but sweeter to the MLM no.4 than Santal 33. The scent is quite linear, easy to use and leans a bit feminine, overall a really nice blend - powdery, figgy, woody and slightly leathery. 8.5/10

This is another scent that has been growing on me since the first time I tried it. I like it more after playing around with it for a couple of weeks, to the point where I’m concerned about my sample running out..! It smells a little different each time I wear it. It tends to open cool, leathery, rubbery. Sometimes it is powdery and sweet, sometimes it turns watery or a bit peppery. It is a strange but pleasing scent. I would describe it as "powdery leather." A clean, grown up scent that I think leans feminine but it would work unisex too. It sticks well to my hair and clothes and I quite enjoy getting intimate whiffs of it.

Gentle Night is a comforting scent and I’ve gotten compliments while wearing this. Works well on spring to the colder months but would avoid it during humid days. My problem is I quickly get anosmic to it. I wear perfume so I could have a scent bubble around that I can smell. People around me could smell it though. I layered this with the GN lotion. It lasted for a good 4 hours before I re-spray. I didn’t expect to like this due to the leather note but hey it was good.

I’ve had a sample of this for quite awhile. On first testing I was totally unimpressed and put the sample away. Now that the weather is cooler I decided to try it again. OMG I’m in love!!! It’s so very pretty!! Musky with the freshness of fig. It’s very wearable and suitable for a variety of seasons and occasions.

An intriguing one I’m looking forward to wearing more. It’s light but always there, my world isn’t rocked but I still like more than just liking it. A very odd experiencing wearing it. I suppose to make Thai review have any coherent sense, it smells powdery — almost candy-like sweetness

It is calming, clean and unisex. I smell tea and ceder more than musk. I think it is mass appealimg and really good choice for a gift. I like it but it is not special enough for me to buy a full bottle...

Context matters here. This one is the scent almost every cafe in Korea uses as a hand wash in their bathrooms. It's... mainstream. The scent itself is not bad. It's just so-so. It's musk-forward and very powdery in a way that it lacks personality. It can lean a bit green as well. If you want something musky/powdery without leaning too cottagecore, Diptyque's Orpheon does better. That one has citrus notes in it. This one is just a very straightforward garden.

Suede is running through all three stages. No truly tea smell, but it has that scent often used in perfumes to represent green tea. Maybe because this ‘green tea’ note is often paired with citrus, I also feel the citrus here. Smells like coconut milk with musk base.

Soapy fragrance. Bought full sized. A comforting scent but also quite forgettable. I don't find myself reaching for it and regret buying it.

Clean, soapy, and a touch woody. Reminds me of a candle or home fragrance. Not sure that I could see this as a personal fragrance.

Gentle night. Bland night. Totally forgettable night.

SO! so beautiful!! i was already expecting to like this one based on the notes alone, and it certainly did not disappoint! a very nicely balanced scent; i think the fig and cedar really round it out. will definitely consider purchasing a full bottle in the future !!

Seems to me there is a marine accord in it as well, but not listed here. Does anyone else smell it? I don’t get the resemblance to Santal 33 or MLM No. 4 at all.
