Flor de Madera

I adore this perfume! It’s what I had hoped Mojave Ghost would be, but I can actually smell this one and it lasts longer. This is a fantastic desert summer scent. It reminds me of late afternoons in sitting outside in Sedona. Not a “skin scent” per se, but can be worn to the office without choking out your colleagues from across the room. 9/10.

This fragrance instantly impressed me with its Mexican desert theme, with notes that truly bring that landscape to life. The opening is particularly captivating, featuring a distinct tamarind note—the dry, flaky husk, not the thick, sweet sauce. This is beautifully layered with a distant hint of chocolate, almost like freshly brewed coffee. It's a truly unique and intriguing start. That initial impression then smoothly transitions into a heart of delicate jasmine and violet, wonderfully light and dry. These florals blend seamlessly with very dry woods and the neutral scent of warm sand. The fragrance settles into a base of warm wood and suede leather, providing a comforting depth. While it sits close to the skin with subtle projection, it leaves a captivating sillage that will pique curiosity. I can easily see this worn by a woman, or a confident man who appreciates nuanced, gentle fragrances. Its Spanish name, meaning "Flower of Wood," perfectly captures the essence of the scent. I'm definitely considering a full bottle and plan to wear this often during the summer.

This is a nice fragrance for those that want something a little different than mainstream. floral driven w Tamarind topping. Im assuming tamarind, in lieu of the smell knowledge on tamarinds. the scent: somewhat like clay, a zing of a watery citrus and a drop of medicinal - overall enjoyable. Light not heavy, sits closer to the skin than most but still projects. it reminds me of something in the Byredo line.

A bit green, a bit bright, but a bit velvety at the same time. I get some suede and vetiver. I honestly picked up the citrus and tamarind a lot more in Dulce de Cuerpo, which is now my favorite of the trio. Similar to Mojave Ghost, maybe a bit less sweet with the purple florals dialed up a tad. The jasmine really comes through on the drydown.

This smells like flowers and sunscreen. Like summer sunshine by the beach. It's not powdery to me, which I like.

Expected dry wood and citrus from the notes, but comes across as screechy white floral. The jasmine/violet combination dominates and the woods never anchor it. It is laminate with no frame, so the scent is bright and sharp rather than grounded.

Overall a grape-y citrus jasmine, with musk. The tamarindo gives it a slight chocolatey-ness that reminds me of Warrior. It’s way more fresh-purple-floral than Warrior, but it has a similar tangy round sweetness. Also, it’s similar to Magnolia Violet by Good Chemistry, but that one is more wet green leaves and shampoo. I think I’ll just mix the other 2 perfumes (I own) if I want to smell like this, because the strength and longevity of Flor de Madera is very weak by comparison, and it’s far more expensive. I will say I do not get baby powder from this one, to me it’s more of a dewy citrus-floral, and I’m glad because I absolutely hate baby powder-like smells.

It opens up so much like Mojave Ghost, it smells like a dupe of it to me (I've tried other dupes of MG against the OG) . It's hard to explain the scent, but it has the brightness and tanginess of citrus and tamarind with the powdery comfort of violets and vetiver. It doesn't feel super amaderaro or woody to me, but it has an airy muskiness on the skin. Performance is very poor unfortunately.

Smells like natural neutral musk and organic fibers that remind me more of coconut husks than of tamarind. The violet accord smells slightly aquatic which gives Mojave Ghost vibes. The drydown smells slightly sweet and baby like. Overall, it’s a nice fragrance and a good Mojave Ghost alternative.

This is my least favorite from this brand. It's just ok, a but too heavy on the cedar for my taste. I do get more jasmine than iris. Overall, it is a pass for me.

Hoo girl that's some baby powder. The initial spray was daunting. Now its blending a little better. It's fine but I'm not in love

This to me smells bug spray but like the perfume version of bug spray.
