I got my first bottle of it 6 years ago, when I studied at the University of Siena for a year. I remember smelling it on a friend of mine and being totally in love with it. I still love the fragrance to this day. It’s perfect for summer, when you want something a bit lighter. It’s tangy, a bit sweet, but green and fresh as well. Gorgeous. If you ever had Isabella grapes - they taste like this perfume smells. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s not the most complex of fragrances- think Jo Malone, but make it Italian. I don’t need all fragrances to be complex, I like linear fragrances (usually more, actually!) - I’m a simple girl! However, longevity could be better. I have nothing against reapplying- I don’t need a fragrance to last an eternity and beyond, but this one is basically gone within an hour. If you want to smell it all day you have to reapply a LOT. People won’t smell you 2 rooms down, but when they stand next to you they’re sure gonna notice you smelling deliciously fruity :-) However much I criticize longevity I still love it to this day. Throw in a bit of nostalgia and that’s why I’m on what I think must be my 4th bottle of the fragrance.

My first fragrance with white grape note on it, but i really believe that the grape is muscat grape, and this is a very delightful and tropical grapey scent that lasts around 8 hours on me with strong to moderate silage and projection. The scent is sweet with a little bit of sourness in the background, and it feels juicy just like muscat grape. In the dry down it becomes a bit musky while retaining the fruitiness. So happy that this brand finally makes its way to fragrantica, because I've been having this for almost 7 years already (i bought it december 2019), and 1716 is my favorite from Note del Chianti.
