Lvce

1:50 - Sweet, almost plastic bergamot open. LOVE IT. I don't know that they're going for that plastic note I've seen in some other perfumes, but if so, they nailed it. It reminded me of The People Of The Labyrinths' Luctor Et Emergo but without the (intriguing and totally worth trying) harshness. 2 - Very quickly getting creamy and spicy but in a way that if someone didn't like those normally, they might like this. 3 - It smells fizzy! Like a fruity cream soda. The notes are wonderfully done, each distinct at various times in Luce's evolution. Sometime later - the dry down is a warm, but not cloying, amber sandalwood. Simple but not boring. A little more than a skinscent, but not something that will be disruptive in a room. I guess you could call it "safe" but I feel like that has negative connotations when it comes to perfumes. It was still there when I woke up the next day AND it hadn't soured on my skin, which most perfumes do when I leave them on overnight like the garbage person that I am. I still have four more samples from this company to try, but so far this and Osa are vying for a full bottle purchase. I really wish they offered 50ml for ~$150 - $175 instead of the $300 100ml bottles. I could see myself with multiple offerings from this house in that case, even though I'd be spending more overall. Right now I can only justify one at most.

Another one of the trio of Note di Profumum collection I ordered, Luce, seemed to have an interesting note breakdown of cardamom, bergamot, pink pepper, sandalwood, and carnation. Certainly, as one might expect, this is sharper than Amante, the cardamom/sandalwood combination reigning strong in particular, and that's mostly where it lingers through its life. Despite the pink pepper and carnation, Luce isn't overly spicy or floral, and the bergamot doesn't seem to do much except perhaps brighten the opening ever so slightly before fading away. In the dry down, the sharpness diminishes somewhat and the blend becomes a little creamier, certainly a nice, subtle evolution. Similarities to Amante include notable versatility (gender, season, occasion) and agreeability. I could easily see the majority of wearers liking this, with some loving it. I rather like it but certainly am not smitten with it like I was with Amante, which is fine. Luce is still a worthy member of the Profumum lineup, classic-smelling and performing well. on the Perfumeria Benegas website, it's listed as being $294 for 100ml 7 out of 10

Interesting one in the range. Dare I say mix of FM Dries with Guerlain Metallica. Spicy, resinous yet distinct sandalwood as well. Curious how it goes on skin in more warmer days

Opens very candied and floral sweet. I'd swear this is a violet fragrance. Smells very similar to "Luce Dell'est", with that candied violet opening. There is more spice here however. And similar to sharpness you get in "Reckless" and "Oceania" from Roja. This is less perfumey then Roja though, and more spicy. I'd rather have either Roja then this though. And the price isn't too different. Personal score: 6.5/10. It's too sharp, too synthetic sweet, and one dimensional. Not for me.

Cardamom and sandalwood. Soft, creamy. But after a few hours it becomes unpleasant on my skin.

Some perfumes are just so very difficult to capture in words, and in one simple category. You have to experience it for yourself. I don't know how to describe this accurately. I think this is definitely not for everyone. Niche-qualities without doubt. Someone mentioned fizzy , and I totally agree with this. An abstract and floral Coca-cola smell? But not really Coca-cola either. It's very interesting, but I don't love it. Not sure if I even like it. Is the fizzy citrusy-floral, meets cardamom on a creamy sandalwood base really a good combination? I guess I’m not really the right person for this, although I find it very interesting. Coming back to this later, I understand the somewhat unfamiliar floral note is carnation. It is overall quite similar to Beratan by Frama, but in my opinion, Lvce is much better. It’s clearer, and brighter. I appreciate this much more now. Psychologically, once you grow familiar with something, you will be inclined to like it more. This happens for me all the time. Lvce is a bit strange, but very interesting.

First thing that hits you is acetone, just like in Vanitas. But then quickly gets a lot better with geranium, creamy vanilla, saffron, tuberose and almonds being most prominent to my nose. Very pretty scent, although leaning a bit too feminine for me.
