Chicane

I discovered Chicane during the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which was actually quite fitting given its name. Right from the very first few minutes, I was captivated by its balance. It is at once fresh, spicy, floral and slightly smoky, without any one of these facets overpowering the others. Everything seems perfectly balanced. The subtle smoky accord lends a distinctive depth to the composition. It never dominates, but acts as a discreet note that adds depth to the whole, much like a musician who adds the perfect chord at just the right moment to enrich a melody. What impressed me most was its ability to remain consistent over time. Many fragrances are captivating at first but then lose their spark. Chicane, however, retains its balance and elegance throughout its evolution. A truly wonderful olfactory experience and a firm favourite from the Nothin’Else house, which I tried via the discovery pack and which is sure to remind you why you love niche perfumery.....

After trying the discovery set, Chicane was the one I ended up getting in full size. To me it just felt perfect for that period when spring starts turning into summer. It has something fresh, almost mineral and airy at the start, but also this warm, addictive side that makes it feel a bit more special than a usual fresh scent. Also happy to say it projects really well.

Spring in a bottle! To me it smells very Barcelona. Effortless, cool, sunny, a little dressed up but still relaxed. The dry down is also super pleasant.
