Timelapse

A real olfactory magic trick!!! Timelapse is probably one of the most bewildering fragrances I’ve ever had the chance to discover. From the very first few minutes, I felt as though it refused to be confined to a simple definition. Every time I thought I’d grasped its direction, it would subtly change its character. A soapy note appears and then vanishes. A gourmand facet seems to emerge before giving way to something more floral, more resinous or more woody. What might become chaotic in less skilful hands is here perfectly mastered. Timelapse is constantly evolving without ever losing its balance. The best image that springs to mind is that of a musical composition. The different notes seem to come into play one after the other, constantly altering the perception of the whole. The fragrance does not tell a linear story; it creates a continuous flow. I have rarely encountered a composition so ever-changing yet so pleasant to wear. More than just a fragrance, Timelapse is an olfactory experience that invites you to remain attentive to every stage of its evolution. A fascinating, unpredictable and remarkably well-constructed creation.

At first I thought it would be more obviously floral because of the tuberose, but it’s much more balanced than that. Nothing is screaming. Nothing is trying to dominate. There's harmony between the creamy sandalwood, the warmth of the woods, and this strange walnut note that I honestly don’t remember smelling in another perfume before. It gives the fragrance something textured and intimate. Not exactly gourmand, not exactly woody, not exactly floral. Somewhere in between. There’s also a soft sweetness that makes me think of maple syrup, but again, it’s not sugary. It just gives roundness. The whole thing feels smooth, warm, and very calm. For me, this is not a perfume I wear to impress people. I wear it because it puts me in a better mood. I’ve been using it while working, and sometimes between meetings or emails I catch it on my hand and it genuinely calms me down for a second. It's almost meditative for me... A very beautiful fragrance, and one of the most interesting uses of tuberose I’ve smelled recently. Not loud, not old-fashioned, not too sweet. Just beautifully balanced.

I tried this together with my gf and somehow ended up sharing it, which never really happens. She’s usually not into woody perfumes at all, but this one got her straight away. It’s warm, super smooth, and the sandalwood is kind of creamy and addictive. The tuberose is there too but it’s really soft, not too floral, just blends in nicely. There’s also this slightly narcotic and slightly smoky vibe in the background, which is hard to explain, but it makes you want to keep smelling it. Perfectly unisex, elegant, effortless. We decided to share it as is wearable for nearly every occasion you can think of.

What I really like is the balance between the woody notes, the creamy sandalwood, and the warmth of the whole scent. The sandalwood is beautiful here, very smooth! There is also a softer side in the fragrance, something delicate, but not too floral. It blends in a very easy and elegant way. I honestly had never smelled something quite like this before. Everything feels very well put together and effortless.
