Oliban

Beautiful Olibanum at a low price. One of my favorite affordable fragrances. It's the scent of an old wooden church, moments after mass, with frankincense resin smoke swirling around, mixed with the scent of wooden pews. The composition is livelier thanks to chamomile, patchouli, and citrus notes, which add depth to this fragrance. The sillage and longevity aren't impressive, but are still very decent for the price. Perfect for starting your incense journey. Similar to "Ences Roi - Histories de Parfums" and "Montale - Full Incense". Nou Oliban, while similar in scent, is shallow. If you're looking for greater depth, richness, and sillage , I recommend checking out the aforementioned siblings.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! To me, at first if smells like sitting in an old church made of pine wood during a mass where they used a lot of incense. Nostalgic and heavy. Later, it becomes a bit lighter while still retaining the benzoin smell. I love it after a few hours. The leather note really POPS then, the scent becomes very intimate. The leather works really well with the vanilla. It makes it sweet without being overwhelming. It's a surprising end to a scent like that but it also makes it even better. It's really not expensive but smells like it is. One of my best purchases in a WHILE

A cheapie bought because people were praising the scent and it was the profile I like, so the risk was low due to great price. It's pretty awesome, a bit churchy but not too much, slightly coniferous (even though not listed, my nose feels it this way), not too dry. A more modern take on meditative incense. Rather translucent, spatial, doesn't suffocate or overwhelm. Feels quite green and neutral - doesn't evoke any solemnity or sternness. The only issue is longevity, maybe 3-4 hours on skin, more on clothes. For the price I can happily reapply if needed.

It opens sour and astringent, shown as citrus and elemi in the list. Then it quickly evolves to scent centering smooth and cool olibanum, with other notes as light decorations. During the drydown it gets sweeter and softer. Projection intimate and longevity OK. Beside Avignon it's also close to Bentley absolute to my nose.

For those who adore olibanum incense mixed with some herbs – catholic church style. The composition is really close to CDG Avignon, these two share similar inspirations. Therefore NOU Oliban could cost twice as much or even more. The scent which transcends its price tag.
