Arbo Reserva

Although it isn't listed in the notes, I sense something "aquatic" here, a bubbly aquatic quality very similar to what is present in Arbo Ocean, but with much more depth and blended with green notes and fresh wood. It reminds me of the original + Ocean and remains a very fresh perfume.

I immediately pick up a dark, earthy pine note — even though pine isn’t listed as a note. The scent is very green and earthy. It smells less like a perfume and more like a plant-care product. Green and earthy - nothing like other green and earthy scents (e.g. Lalique Encre Noire). The opening strongly reminds me of Paco by Paco Rabanne, just without the lemon and with much more pine. After a few seconds, that earthy pine accord settles down and the mint comes through a bit more, making it less earthy and more green and fresh. With this green fragrance, you should know beforehand that the scent development and overall impression are noticeably better on skin than on a test strip. On my skin, it comes across stronger than on paper. But still... not my cup of tea. The sillage is quite strong at first but calms down after a minute or two. Before buying it, you should be aware that it’s a green, very herbaceous, woody/forest-like fragrance that smells earthy at first and then fresh and green. It’s a scent with a lot of pine, mint, and cedarwood. For the office or the gym—nowhere else.

So, I confess that I was 'very thirsty for the pot' in this Arbo Reserva, and with several positive expectations after reading positive impressions about it. However, I was disappointed, in the sense of having found yet another perfume with O Boticário's DNA and a lot of messy green notes that don't sing and don't clash. I recognize its incredible output, with a very prominent memory in its antecedent Arbo, which I consider one of the national green perfumes, best built and unprecedented in this proposal of raw organic sap, however, only in 5 minutes and nothing more. For my nostrils, in the heart notes it evokes the same olfactory fatigue that I have with the heart of Surreal Garden, by AVON; I have all the Surreal flankers and I love them, but the traditional one has a note of Jacinto with Dama da Noite, that there is no being in this world that makes me accept that there... In this Arbo Reserva, I have the same feeling, of obligation to accept something I don't feel obligated to deal with. The base is sad, it doesn't last at all, it evaporates too quickly, and it only brings an earthy green touch and nothing else... It would be so wonderful if it started and ended right away on the opening notes, with a little more sillage, and that's it!
