Cuir Rose

I had testers for all three of oak essentials perfumes and I was not expecting that this would be my most favorite perfume I've ever smelled in my life. This is officially my signature scent. It makes me feel like I am on the driver side of a Cadillac during the summer time wearing Ray Ban sunglasses with the wind blowing through my hair. It's so beautiful! I love the rose and leather scent. Is sweet but not overpowering. I feel sexy wearing this and I just want to go out and wear a casual t-shirt with jeans and just go out on a drive. I could definitely wear this all year round, and I am. I love, love, love the scent and I can't stop smelling myself. Lasted 10 hours. Each hour was a new beautiful experience.

I am delighted that this perfume has been added to the database. This is a sexy, feminine rose-leather scent. I admire its complexity and the way it morphs throughout its wear time. It begins with a plush, rounded dark red rose. The opening features a light, slightly sticky tangerine. The fruity notes totally disappear after 30 min. The leather smells dark and sleek, like a black leather jacket. This is more of a feminine leather. It's not creamy nor powdery like suede. It doesn't get overwhelming or overpowering because it is distinctly separate from the rose. (Unlike some rose-leathers where the two notes are completely blended together.) A couple hours in, the leather softens. I wouldn't classify this as unisex. It is slightly sweet. The wear time is 8ish hours for one spray. It projects well. This is the strongest of the Oak Essentials scents released so far. It is a little pricey but the quality is there. If you also enjoy Jo Malone Velvet Rose and Oud, you'll like this. This is darker and less sweet. If you struggle with leather notes and want to try a feminine one, this is a good choice. I cannot stand leather most of the time, and this is an exception. Conversely, you might be disappointed if you want a really strong leather. PS I tested these at Ulta in the skincare section with the rest of Oak Essentials' products. It's not located in the main perfume section.

It took me a few tries before I could decide if I liked this or not. It is very unisex in its scent profile. Sweet at first, with almost a plastic undertone that fades to a soft rose with leather accords. Lasts a while. I would say it's not for everyone. It would be a great going out scent, very interesting. Definitely different than the other scents in my collection.
