Milky Bloom

Milky Bloom has become a favorite in my collection. It reminds me of vanilla ice-cream that has real ground vanilla bean flecks and a touch of orange blossom. The pink pepper gives it enough spice to balance the floral creaminess. I find myself consistently reaching for this fragrance.

Firstly I want to say I love Oakcha and a solid lil chunk of my collection is their products. The release of this milk inspired “Crème Gourmand Collection” was an odd mis step and poorly executed. This and ‘Milk Skin’ are the only ones that both properly stand true to the namesake of the collection and are actually enjoyable. ‘Milky Bloom’ implicates this dairy-floral fusion, but thats fully what you get with the sister release ‘Steamed Milk’ oddly enough. The names really should have been swapped. Here I get a freshly prepared warm baby bottle with cereal in one of those high end thick glass baby bottles. Something feels very young childhood here, its just SO comforting and cozy. Reminds me of my days working in infant care. This and ‘Milk Skin’ would have sufficed plenty in capturing the milk fragrance trend for Oakcha. The other two in this collection, while not awful, are random shots in the woods with no aim; especially ‘Steamed Milk.’ 🥸

This smells like when a baby drinks a bottle then pukes on you. Or when you are craving a bowl of cereal and go sniff the jug of milk in the fridge and get a whiff that it went bad two weeks ago.

I love the Gourmand Creme collection, but this was a misstep to my nose-- once I made the connection that it smelled like Ensure, I couldn't deal!
