Nectar Whirl

If you like Angel stellar, or Kayali vanilla Royale sugared patchouli you are in for the most amazing treat! I cannot believe how amazing this fragrance is and the value is incredible. I’ve always loved this brand for their original creations. Very creative layers great projects very nicely super yummy fragrance perfectly unisex of course everyone is gonna tell you only wear this in the winter the fall or early spring day or night. The notes in here are blended so nice one of my favorites from Oakcha.

Out of the gourmand sample box, this was the one I tried last. By accident. And it is my favourite! Last such a long time. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the note I could smell hours after spraying. Come to find out it is a sweet, spicy patchouli. I always despised the scent of patchouli but in here.. it’s soooo yummy! 🤤 absolutely gorgeous scent. This full size will for sure be in my next order from OAKCHA.

My skin doesn't always love patchouli, but the blend here is fabulous. This is sweet and spicy on me, and a bit playful. The initial spray is heavy on the vanilla, amber and coconut. The patchouli really dominates after it dries down. There's almost a boozey quality to it? Oakcha continues to surprise me with how many of their scents I vibe with.

This is an approachable, satisfying gourmand with a great price. A fantastic introduction to gourmands for those with a passive interest in fragrance or someone starting out on their fragrance journey.

first came out smelling straight-up like disinfectant, but definitely warmed up as it dried out. it’s a really comfortable, soothing scent once it gets there really only getting patchouli and amber here but they work well. definitely nighttime/mature/sexy scent on me.

Tried this one out from the Oakcha Gourmand Sample Set. Full disclosure: I am generally not a gourmand lover in body fragrances (give me a gourmand candle and that is a different story-but I digress). Also, patchouli and I have a love/hate relationship. I either love it in a perfume or I hate it--there is no in between. I guess for me it just has to have the right combination of notes to play nice with, or else I just can't do it. At first spray, I get what I can only describe as a nutty note. Not necessarily almond, but definitely nutty--like an sweetened hazelnut scent. There is also sticky, sweet caramel note. I even get something vaguely laconic--maybe this is where the almond comes in because it's a bit like almond milk. Or is it coconut milk? It's hard to put my finger on it exactly. Either would make sense given the notes. So far, so good. But it's in the dry down where things get a bit--odd. The initial sweetness disappears and what is left is the nuttiness with a spicy, wood-like scent. The caramel is still there too, but without the sweetness, it smells like burnt caramel, which I don't care for. I feel like this fragrance has an identity crisis. First, the name is off, because I don't get nectar vibes at all. Second, it starts off sweet and, dare I say, girly and dries down into something much more masculine, but also off-putting. I really think it's the patchouli that is turning my nose here. It just really overwhelms the other notes and seems to fight against them. Final verdict: I don't hate this but I won't be getting a full bottle and I may try to give away the rest of the sample I have.

Doesn't really make me think of toffee macarons. In fact, for the first 30 minutes to an hour of wear, it kind of smells like a dirty diaper that someone sprayed with a musky and slightly nutty perfume. Reminds me a bit of Shay & Blue's Salt Caramel but less salty and more dirty. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 5 hours.

Oh no. This is overwhelming upon first spray and doesn’t get much better for me as it settles. Strong caramel and almond which is mixed with patchouli to make it smell spicy. There’s a top note which gives off chlorine or pine. It quietens after about 10 mins and is more bearable. All in all...not for me.

OMG it's so bad!! It literally burns my nose smelling it on my skin. I can't even describe how bad this one is. I can't scrub hard enough!!

The worst out of the sample box, in my opinion. Caramel and patchouli don’t mesh together well to my nose or on my skin.

Not a fan. Sweet smelling, but too much patchouli/musk for me. I am not a patchouli fan in general.

This one made me nauseous. :( I have an Oakcha gourmand collection sample set, and I made the mistake of trying on Nectar Whirl without reading the notes first. I would've skipped it had I known this is a STRONG PATCHOULI scent. The patchouli is so strong that it's hard to pick up on the other notes. Additionally, there is a cloying sweetness that amplifies the nauseating qualities of the patchouli. I had to immediately take a shower to try to wash this off of me, but I could still smell hints of it even after using a body scrub, followed by aggressively scrubbing with a loofah sponge and soap. I was miserable. lol

This is just... I don't even know. It doesn't smell like toffee macarons. It smells bad. I don't know how else to describe this. Don't buy this. It's just... awful. I hate to say it, but something about this smells like actual sh*t. I hate it. I can't express enough how much I DESPISE this fragrance.

This smells like the chemical cleaner and piss soaked concrete at the animal shelter or lobby of the vet. It’s just as strong and sharp. Vile.

Hm. I'm not sure how to feel about this one. However, it makes me feel something and I think it's the sweet patchouli ? Sweet spicy patchouli. If you don't like patchouli, you will hate this.
