This scent is heavy but absolutely intoxicating. Definitely not a safe blind buy. This scent gives gothic cathedral, dark romance and witchy vibes. My partner LOVES this perfume on me and it's my favorite of my collection. It lasts for days on my clothes and sheets.

The rose, cinnamon and clove drew me in but ultimately it just wasn't for me....This is a very mature scent and I'm just not there yet. It also reminds me of a haunted mansion filled with cobwebs and dust lol... A fall scent for sure.

I nearly bought Portrait of a Lady, and was drawn in by Oakcha's sale of its smells-like dupe. Sigh. I've been duped. No, it's not all THAT bad, but the aged, green-smelling patchouli in PoaL was lovely, and Pearl Earring has the kind of patch that smells dusty to me. The balance seems off to me, as well: way more dry, dusty basenotes than the aromatic fruity rose-chouli I was expecting. There is also some kind of aromachemical, probably a harsh woody amber, that is really bothering me.
