The Beekeeper

Dear god, where do I begin?? I wore this after smelling it in the sample set and deciding it was toned-down enough for my office job. I was blown away. Within 2 hours at work catching a whiff of it anytime I moved, I was sneakily ordering the full size on the work computer. This perfume screams fresh and sweet. Imagine walking through a freshly trimmed garden, lots of greens, some white flowers sprinkled amongst all the lush green, and there are nectarine, peach, and plum trees with dreamy moss throughout the garden. Take a nectarine off the tree. Bite right in. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in. Feel the sunshine. That's this perfume. Fresh, sweet, bright, fuzzy... there's no artificial sweetness, either. This is straight up fresh peach and nectarine with the most lovely green notes. Like the leaves are still on the fruit. EDIT: I have finally tried the original Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey. Very happy to say that this scent is IDENTICAL... but at less than 1/3rd of the price?? There is no reason to spend $168 on NBAH when this exists. I mean it. While it's not the most loud fragrance, it will hit your nose throughout the day, and it LASTS. I was smelling it all day, from 7:45 AM to 6:30 PM. Didn't even need a refresher spritz, which is ideal for me. Perfection for a lovely scent that won't bother coworkers. I'll be wearing this often.

my favorite of their sampler set. oakcha is just so goated i had to give them a baller review. BEWARE; Oakcha's fatal flaw is that their shit does NOT smell like it does after you macerate or whatever. fell in love with the initial fruity dab on. the nectarine and peach were so strong and realistic. this smelled EXPENSIVE and high quality. not a dupe of jo malone, but a good perfume on its own. I let it sit in my cabinet for a week or so and it blended a bit too well. now it actually smelled identical to the jo malone; soft, quiet, not strong in the slightest. this scent will linger, but not project-- which some might like. the green notes actually came through after that, making it smell a lot more powder-y. think the smell of floral nenuco wipes. makes me feel like a clean italian baby in summer when fruit trees bloom... but in a mature way. nothing beast mode, but if you appreciate artistic, unique smells rather than show-stoppers (and vetiver), this is a banger.

Extremely fresh, green, dewy, and juicy scent! Smells just like the smell that lingers in the air after cutting a fresh nectarine :) it has a very gentle and beautiful floral present like nectarine blossom. It’s the most amazing spring and summer perfume! On me, the longevity is great with the scent on skin lasting about 5 hours. It does not have a giant scent bubble, which I personally prefer, but it starts off as a scent that projects within an arms length of you, and then within the first two hours it becomes an intimate skin scent that you would smell by getting your nose close to where if was sprayed. On clothing, this scent lasts until I wash the clothing next! I still smell it on my clothes when I’m moving them from the laundry hamper to the washing machine. I’ve had this perfume for over a year now and the scent has not changed, it’s still as beautiful, juicy, dewy, and fresh as when I started using it.

I'm not a fan of Little Big Town's lesbian fakeout song "Girl Crush", but this perfume definitely brings to mind the line "I wanna drown myself in a bottle of her perfume." It's so green and fruity and perfect and exactly what *I* want in a perfume. It makes me feel like I just walked into the grocery store in the dead of summer. The blast of air conditioning carries the smell of a fresh nectarine display, meeting the hot air and fresh cut grass from outside. (Okay, it's not really AS green as fresh cut grass, but I had to finish the metaphor somewhere.) The only bad thing about this is that it's SO intimate. I can barely smell it on myself if I use my standard 3 spritzes. But for the price point I'm willing to bathe in it.

This is so fresh, delicately and naturalistic! The green notes are dewy and grassy, but not *earthy* grassy...it's extremely spring-like. If you're not attentive, you'll miss the subtle beauty before it fades. No honey is listed technically, but this is predominately honey *with* fruit, not fruit with honey. Stone fruit flavors embued in clover honey. It's gorgeous. Hopeful and optimistic, but in a quiet way. This fragrance makes me contemplative. A quiet May afternoon for the nose. 🍯 🌼 🌞 🍃

Talk about fresh and juicy! This does not smell synthetic at all! It literally smells like you are strolling through an orchard with apple trees, pear trees, flowers and beehives all around. Absolutely beautiful and innocent!

This is one of my favorites from oakcha. The scent brings to mind fresh sweet green, spring florals, with a hint of honey. It’s a very “precious” scent in my opinion. Like a day of walking in a sun dress...effortless beauty.

Love this! It's strong!!!!! A lot of compliments. Very fruity! Perfect for Spring and summer scent.

Jo Malone's Nectarine and Honey Blossom is arguably one of my favorite smells ever, but I refuse to buy it given the price tag and poor lasting power. I already own 2 other NAHB dupes; ALT Fragrance's Honey Flower and Sand + Fog's Honey & Blossom, and they're among my most complimented fresh fragrances. I gave Oakcha's version a try given the glowing reviews, but much like the other 2 dupes I own, it's still not as fruity as the OG. The Beekeeper does smell wonderful overall, but I think both ALT's and Sand + Fog's dupes perform better and smell a bit better too.

Thank you Oakcha... my hot weather freshy easy reach search is done! Im a an ambery, spicy, ambroxen, smokey, boozey oud girl. But a girl needs to go to the market and be a touch basic sometimes right? Beekeeper read the brief. I smiled when i sprayed this on...green stone fruit with interest! i still smell my wrists all day with this one. Good job Oakcha!

Better than I expected. I don’t usually like green scents but thid is pretty nice since it has a distinct fruitiness from the nectarine and peach. It has minimal sillage and lasts about 6 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ✔️ Clean H2Eau Nectarine Petal: very similar ✔️ Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey: very similar

Opens with a fresh orange blossom scent, the nectarine and white florals really shine. I also get a honey type note underneath the fruity-floral, like a natural sweetness. Sadly, this only lasts 1-2 hours on my skin. That may be a positive if you wanted to wear it out on a warm spring or summer day!

Very clean, fresh, summery smell. Lasts for a decent amount of time. Pleasantly surprised on the dry down. Very nice scent.

Green is the first word that comes to mind with this one. With a name like The Bee Keeper, I was expecting a honey note, but it's supposed to envoke more of a bees flying around a flowery orchard vibe. At first spray, there is nothing I like about it. It's sharp and non-distinct, but that only lasts a min or two. Then the green notes open up. Not grass green, but more of a fresh woody/leaves note. After the drydown, I get a distinct pear note, which isn't part of the profile at all. No peach, no plum. Perhaps there is just a hint of florals. It falls a bit flat after that. It's not unpleasant, and it's lasted at least 6 hours on my skin and clothes, but it's just not very interesting. Won't be a full bottle purchase, but I'll use up what I have.

I got this as part of the Oakcha sample kit - it’s not the notes I would typically go for. It’s fresh stone fruits - the kind of scent you want to wear after a shower on a spring day. Green, watery, bright. It’s nearly disappeared on me after 30 mins - definitely not going to be one I buy. I actually dropped and spilled the sample bottle as it was sampling it. The fact that I wasn’t disappointed at all tells me how I feel about the fragrance.

i wish so much that i liked this, because the first (and only) hour it’s on the skin/clothes it is the perfect fresh, green, juicy, fruity perfume, but it fades so fast. it would probably be my dream perfume if it performed better. ultimately 1 hour of wear is not worth 35 dollars imo

Definitely a fresh out of the shower smell. I’m picky about my fresh scents and don’t want them to smell too soapy. This smells like fruity shampoo. Not much depth. Pleasant, but not quite me.

This one is not for me. For the first 20 minutes or so it's just GREEN, like leaves but so overwhelming it's unpleasant. After that I get the barest hint of generic floral and a whiff here and there from the fruits and then it's all gone an hour later.

SCENT UPDATE: It’s been about 3 months since purchasing, and the perfume breakdown is notable. I initially really loved this, but notice stark differences from when it first arrived. Whereas before BK read as a natural, delicate scent, it now smells weirdly perfume-y and plasticky, like the perfume has been hanging out in the inside of a balloon. No other of my Oakcha scents have done this. Just Bee Keeper. I first tried this via Oakcha’s Discovery Set and was immediately wowed how the brand captured the dewy summer mornings in a bottle! Like other reviewers mentioned, I deeply enjoy Jo Malone’s concepts, but I struggle with the cost-per-longevity. That said, just like the OG, Beekeeper feels like the perfumer extracted cool, dewy morning & newly green leaves coupled with nectarine skin and lily of the valley. I’m lucky to have these fairy flowers grow by my garden walkway from early to mid spring. Lily of the valley is distinctive and beautiful. I hear this flower’s scent cannot be naturally extracted but synthetically replicated. Someone please & seriously correct me if I’m wrong! Delicate yet exceptional, Beekeeper stole my heart from the start. I found myself continually hoping I’d find the same olfactory magic elsewhere, but have only have only experienced it with his and JM’s version within this scent DNA. Regrettably while they have the same magic, they also share the same problems. The longevity of this scent DNA is always gonna be short lived. However, whereas JM’s is well over $150, Oakcha’s is $35 at the time I’m writing this. To be honest, not only is Beekeper a better bargain, it’s slightly sweeter than the OG which I appreciate. To get the most wear time from Beekeeper, I like to pair it with Lataffa’s Badee Al Oud Sublime to create a juicer & longer-lasting, shampoo-y summer scent!

Just received this and I can BARELY smell it. I sprayed a bunch more times and it didn't help. I'm hoping it will get stronger if I let it sit for a while. What I do smell is lovely I just wish I could actually smell it more and enjoy it.
