Moulin Rose

Inspired to highlight essential showgirl cosmetics, Moulin Rose opens with a puff of creamy violet dusting powder surrounding a bouquet of rose de mai. It is lightly sweetened with delicious raspberry clafoutis. Hints of Italian bergamot and pomelo de corse infuse the slightest citrussy sparkle. A rich base of orris butter, blanc amber, and vanilla tobacco add warmth and depth, and an elegant nod to sensuality. If you love Lipstick Rose, Guerlain's Rose Chérie, or Chanel's Misia, you will love Moulin Rose. While I would place it in the same category of the above, it is completely unique and a welcome addition to anyone, like me, who may already have a substantial collection of "cosmetic" or "lipstick" scents. Moulin Rose is luxurious and expertly blended. It is long lasting on my skin with a perfect silage that envelopes with the loveliest scent bubble throughout the day. Odette Parfum Co. is the most charming niche perfume house, and I have been making my way through sampling each of their exquisite, romantic scents. It's tough to narrow down, but... I have fallen head over heels for Moulin Rose! It is my favorite from the line, and it's the perfect rose as we head into the fall. Final vote: 10 out of 10! This is love at first sniff!

I’m so conflicted on this one! The rose might give me a headache over time, but the rest of the composition is stunning. Orris butter lends a creamy texture, like the fragrance was mixed with a wooden spoon. Violet dusting powder and raspberry clafoutis create such a vivid scene—I feel like a ballerina at her vanity, powdering her face with a big white puff tied with a pastel pink bow. It’s delicate, like a porcelain doll sitting on a dusty shelf.

Ahh so cute. Sweet and powdery rose scent but done in an elegant and a bit vintage way. The cake note is quite prominent on me so this is some sort of rose gourmand. There is also a lipstick accord (orris root, violet) which will satisfy lovers of vintage-powdery scents :) Nothing revolutionary here and very pretty and easy to wear. Also very nicely priced. Odette Parfum is such a delightful little perfume brand.

It’s a sultry blend of opulent roses and delicious cake, spinning like a ballerina with a hint of tobacco that feels both dangerous and divine. This fragrance dances on the edge of glamour and seduction, leaving you with midnight whispers and stolen glances.

This smells to me like violet candies taste - delicious, powdery, creamy, with the perfect hint of rose. I love wearing this when I want to smell clean, lady like, dainty, elegant, etc. Perfect for daytime, really easy to wear, intimate sillage.

a lipsticky look backstage at the moulin rouge; performers sat at their vanities with bouquets of roses on their laps. reminds me of a woman's glitz and glamor turned a mellow memory, this fragrance feels like recounting past glory and reliving it in real time. the top notes really encapsulate antique cosmetics perfectly, and something about that faint tobacco mingling with the rose turns it dream-like. i normally dislike rose fragrances but this one gets an encore from me!

Very womanly sensual scent. Beautiful wearable rose with a juicy fruit opening. Powder isn't too overwhelming. Not my personal jam but will be someone else's.

Got a 10ml to try as I'm searching for a sweet tobacco rose. This is not it. It is a pleasant light scent. limited projection and kind of reminds me of Swedish fish.

A very powdery rose and I definitely smell the tobacco note. Its very vintage in an enduring way. I don’t think I will buy a full bottle but its nice!
