This scent is highly addictive!!! It's veryyy soft and delicate yet still rich and buttery. True to Odette's style, it's heavy on the gourmand without being nauseating or overly sweet, it still feels very elegant and wearable, perfect for everyday use or wearing it around the office. Sillage is veryyyy intimate, I tend to gravitate towards fragrances with powerful sillage but it's such a unique and delicious fragrance that I don't mind this factor (I like to think of Odette's scents as a special treat just for my partner or anyone who gets close enough to enjoy LOL). When I wore it for the first time yesterday, my partner (who is EXTREMELY picky and sensitive to fragrance) couldn't help but compliment me as we were cuddled up together for bed. Longevity is kind of meh to me, I have to keep reapplying throughout the day, I lowkey feel like I have to bathe in it for me to smell it on myself but for the really decent price point I also don't mind this hehe. This scent feels like the perfect hug, the kind that feels so comforting it makes you well up with tears. Smelling it feels like my soft fuzzy Nebelung cat is curled up on my lap and purring while I'm vigorously petting his fluff. It reminds me of him so much which I adore. I recently moved out of my childhood home and had to leave him behind with my mom so it honestly helps me feel like he's with me everywhere I go. Whenever I take a big whiff, I can picture him and his adorable little fluffy face. It feels like your favorite sherpa blanket fresh out of the dryer on a cold day and you throw it around shoulders just soaking in all the warmth. It feels like when you're baking a cake and open the oven to check on it and wafts of vanilla and butter wash over the whole house. I cannot stop smelling/wearing this one!!! Looking forward to testing the other scents I got!

First, I genuinely love the artistry and scent of Pas de Chat. The combination of cake and iso super E is beautiful. It’s like powdered sugar sprinkled in the air. ISO super E kind of scatters the molecules or something so they float and dance in the air. It’s a lovely, dainty effect, much like the ballet step it’s named for (cat’s step). It doesn’t smell like kitten fur. But it has the spirit of kitten fur. Fluffy, soft, warm, delicate. The heavier elements (base notes) create a warm flour for the sugar to land. It creates the experience of watching this ballet step, where the body appears to have no weight and lands so softly. The ISO super E gives it movement, but as most things with that element, it doesn’t last long. It’s worth it to feel the moment of lightness and grace, imo. However, be conscious of the price. It’s $68 for 30 mls, which is $2.26/ml. At a 100 mls, it would cost $226, which is pricey. Are you willing to pay that much for an experience? If you want beast mode, long lasting vanilla, try Bianco Latte, which is $1.60/ml. It’s a great buy, and lasts more than a day, even.

i saw a review on tiktok for this fragrance and had been wanting to get it, and finally for christmas was gifted a 10ml bottle and it is seriously my favorite fragrance ever. upon opening, it’s very musky and ambery, which i liked, but initially i didn’t get too much of a “cat” smell, which was disappointing. however, after having opened it and letting it sit for about a month, it changed so much and smells exactly like my two cats and vanilla and amber, it’s so cool. i’ve always loved the way my cats smell, sort of like cinnamon and really light vanilla and animal, and this fragrance captures that perfectly. it’s musky, spicy, warm, peppery, and mildly sweet, and it all goes together perfectly, and gets a little sweeter over time without being overwhelmingly sweet or heavy. definitely more of an intimate scent, but a good one. it’s something i can see myself wearing for a long time, and i’d love to get my hands on a larger bottle of it. seriously my favorite fragrance ever, definitely worth a try.

I discovered Odette Parfum in 2024 and it has risen the ranks to quickly become one of my favorite houses. At my core, I adore gourmands and romantic floral perfumes, so it does feel like Odette Parfum was made for me. I love the nod to French culture, pastries, and the arts- it's not in your face or over the top, but a really sweet touch to the entire brand. As for Pas de Chat specifically, I've never smelled such a nuanced skin-scent x gourmand hybrid. It's sweet, like vanilla cake crumbs, but not overly saccharine. The skin musk facet is warm from the ambrette and cashmeran and also gains some lightness from the iso e super. It's the epitome of cozy. Similar to your favorite worn in sweater or curling up for a nap with a fluffy kitten. Pas de Chat, specifically the fantasy accord of kitten fur, accomplishes something so special. Another knock out scent from this beautiful house, I can’t wait to see what else Odette has up their sleeve!

I get the sweetness of a classic white cake with buttercream, a hint of pink pepper that tickles the nose without being spicy, a cosmetic kind of musk, and yes, a little bit of that animalic fur (The fur note in this reminds me of Poesie’s Forest Cat and Alkemia’s Kitten and the Falling Leaves, not literal and yet recognizable). This feels feminine but not girly, vintage but not old-fashioned, pretty and just a little bit dirty. I’m getting boudoir, coquette, Marie from Aristocats, Holly Golightly, Brigitte Bardot. I read a lot of reviews of this fragrance and really built it up in my head before actually smelling and I confess this wasn’t love at first sniff. However I’ve noticed that a lot of perfumes I wasn’t initially wowed by have turned out to be the ones I can’t stop spraying, and I have a feeling that Pas de Chat is just such a fragrance. It’s my first Odette perfume but won’t be the last!

it has been a long time since i loved a fragrance immediately on first spray. i am SO happy i love this one. this could very easily become my new bedtime scent. it is one of the most comforting fragrances i have ever smelled. maybe my brain is being influenced by the name and the listed "fur" note, but this genuinely reminds me of curling up for a nap with my cat. wrapped up in freshly washed blankets with those cozy vanilla scent boosters, skin still soft from a warm buttermilk bath. it feels like every soft, quiet moment i could possibly want, all bottled up into a fragrance. there is something so gentle and safe about it. i keep smelling my wrist and smiling without really thinking about it. i love this so, so much. i genuinely do not think words can fully describe how comforting this fragrance feels to me. i have a feeling this is going to become one of those scents i never want to be without.

i fell in love with this upon my very first sniff; pas de chat is warm, fluffy, and delicate – a deliciously sweet vanilla cake paired with the fuzzy essence of kitten fur. all of the notes blend so beautifully together, from the rich, smooth tonka, to musky cashmere wood, married with a cheeky splash of pink pepper that adds a bright quality to this beautiful fragrance. the drydown is more powdery and deepened by the heart notes. interestingly, there is no animalic quality that i can discern here; the kitten fur note is more of an implication than a literal interpretation, as others have said. while not a photorealistic “cat” smell, it is definitely evocative of that cozy comfort of burying your nose into your kitty’s sun-warmed fur. i am utterly mesmerized by this perfume, she is so sweet and feminine, playful yet relaxed and comfy. my only complaint is that i wish it lasted a little longer.

Pas de chat or step of the cat is my favorite of the 3 I have sampled. I love musk, amberette musk and any kind of fur accord. The image that comes to mind when smelling this fragrance is this.... You are in a very fancy bedroom there is the smell of makeup and fragrance powders of various kinds and you are enjoying little vanilla cakes with just the right amount of sweetness and your favorite cat is sitting on your lap. I smell clean skin, lace, cool silk, powder, fur and lightly sweet vanilla cakes. A simple fragrance but one that really speaks to me. A skin scent that most will enjoy. Delicate but still noticable. If you like sweet musk fragrances this is worth a sample. Edit while I do enjoy this fragrance a lot it does wear close to the skin and as much as I like it I don't need anymore conservative skin scents. If I purchase anymore full bottles it has to be a bomb.

Very comforting and nostalgic. To me, this feels like being in the middle of baking a cake when your cat jumps up onto the counter and gets all up in your business, so you have to pick her up to put her back on the ground but she gets a little icing sugar on her fur in the process. Then, when the cake is in the oven and you’re reading a book as you wait, she jumps into your lap and you smell the sugar alongside the soothing, gently musky scent of her fur. I had this scent in mind for one of my girlfriends who has big ‘gourmandy cat’ energy, and when she smelled it she said it brought to mind a lovely memory of being at her grandma’s. When I wore it for the day, it lasted a long time and dried down with tonka and vanilla, becoming more musky. It ended up smelling like icing on me which I loved!

I wish I could smell like Pas de Chat constantly. It is the most unique, complex, beautiful fragrance I have ever owned. I feel like I’ve found a gem that I need to hold precious. It radiates pure luxury yet invokes a sense of playfulness. Imagine being curled up in bed on a snowy day with a fluffy cat beside you. Imagine seeing a ballet on a winter night and going for a sweet champagne afterwards. Imagine a jazz club in the city. It’s really hard to point out which note stands out the most to me but I think that adds to the allure rather than confuses me. I’d have to say the fur accord is my favorite. Just simply unique. Odette, please continue your dream of making parfum. You have a talent that isn’t seen much in the fragrance world now. I look forward to seeing how your journey blossoms.

Odette perfumes are so hard to get a hold of. I wish they were sold in more places or shipped worldwide. Having really disliked Petite Gateaux I didn’t have much hope for this one. I like Pas de Chat for its uniqueness. The opening of this scent to me is a gorgeous, sweet, iced vanilla birthday cake. As it dries down it becomes musky. I still get the sweet vanilla, but the musk is the strongest in the dry down. I wanted this as a comforting, self care scent really. It isn’t a scent I’d wear out, but one I would wear for myself when I’m home. As someone who grew up with cats and misses them terribly, the dry down does smell like cat paws. It isn’t 100% but it’s near enough for me. This is a skin scent but it’s cute and cuddly.

Pas de Chat feels like a soft little daydream on skin 🩰🐈🦢. It wraps me in a cocoon of innocence, cashmere warmth, and quiet sensuality, with that beautiful “your skin but softer” feeling. I get a delicate, refined gourmand touch too, almost like warm madeleine, milky vanilla, and sweet, clean musk, which fits its ballet-inspired, satin-slipper mood perfectly. The projection is discreet, and that intimacy is part of its charm. PdC stays close to the skin, personal, and very comforting. I love the coquette, balletcore inspiration, and the little fantasy of the kitten🐈 fur note makes it feel extra special and tender to me. 8/10 for me: soft, cozy, sensual, and truly one of those fragrances that feels like a second skin.

I have cats and was very excited to try this perfume that is supposed to smell like cat fur! I love the general warm, fluffy cashmere smell. The only complaint I have is that I believe the pink pepper is very spicy and still tends to be a little overpowering to me. This doesn’t exactly smell like my cats but it gives me the same cozy vibe I get from hugging them. I have tried Demeter’s kitten fur and I think this one is closer to fitting cat fur. I really enjoy the sweet warm vanilla I get from this. If not for the sheer novelty of it, I would like to get a full sized bottle. This scent is cozy and I think the pepper will calm down as it dries down more. Definetly one to sample and try for yourself!

literally smells like a white fur coat owned by a very rich bombshell from the 1940s who uses those long cigarette holders. or maybe a little kitten living in someone's fluffy all-pink bedroom. liquid coquette. musky and furry, but it's so sweet and powdery and luxurious that it creates a truly divine skin-scent. it doesn't have any sillage and doesn't last longer than about 4 hours, but it's so fluffy and cozy it's worth it. gotta get a full sized bottle bc this is THE bedtime scent. ik this is from a smaller brand so there's a smaller sample size, but i've never seen a fragrance so unanimously praised like this to where i can't even find a single negative review. pas de chat really is THAT girl.

OMG love at first sniff for me! It’s so cozy and comforting. Evokes the feeling of cuddling with a sweet, purring, kitty! As a crazy cat lady, this is right up my alley. I also adore the notes of cashmeran and ambrette. I love cozy scents and this is so good! No idea, how long it lasts because it smells so good. Wish it was available to get in Canada. Will be enjoying my bottle! I also love the unique note of cat fur. Literally CANNOT stop wearing this! I wish that it shipped to Canada, I need backups! My bottle is a super dark amber. Not pale yellow. So not sure if mine had time to sit and age. One con is that these do not come with any outer packaging. Could at least come with a box.

Until Lapinou from this brand stole the title for most perfect signature scent in my eyes, I thought this was it. It is incredible, comforting, versatile, warm, intoxicating. Opens with a blast of almost a photorealistic Madeleine before opening up into an amber with maybe that touch of animalic, but in no way off putting, « kitten fur. » It lingers there until drying down to an almost nostalgic vanilla cake-y doll head scent. You almost can’t put your nose on it, so you want to keep going back for more. Intoxicating. I can’t believe I slept on this brand for so long. It almost extinguishes any desire I have to smell anything else. This and Lapinou are the GRAIL

i received my sample of this while i was catsitting a sweet older woman's pure bred maine coon kitten. this smells identical to her kitten but even better. picture a fluffy little cat with a silk ribbon round its neck, sneaking into a basket of madeleines in a ballerina's boudoir. i bought a full bottle and carry it with me everywhere i go. such a comforting, angelic scent. and a compliment getter! i've had friends hug me and then bury their face in my neck while raving about this perfume. that's the thing though - people can only smell it if they're right next to you or hugging you! but despite the very mild projection i love this fragrance ♡

smells like: aggressively sniffing the top of my cats head after she's been cuddling me and my perfume has worn off onto her fur. added to my full bottle purchase list after 5 mins of wearing. signature scent worthy without a doubt, beautifully blended, grown up gourmand. this is not your typical loud, cakey gourmand. after the cake opening, the fur and cashmere comes through heavy on my skin, with the iso e super and amber holding it down to create the most addicting, comforting scent with just enough whisper of weirdness from the fur to keep it feeling unique. love love love.

you're shoving your face into your sleeping cat who rolled around in vanilla beans, you're having a midday nap wrapped in sherpas and fur, you're borrowing your sister's softest sweater that was buried in a pile of her clothes, everything puts a soft, sleepy smile on your face. i get lots of musk and vanilla, the pink pepper and woods give it a gentle bite. all of odette's perfumes (i have all except coup de pied) could stand to have more longevity and sillage, but i can still be perfectly satisfied falling asleep with this on my wrist close to my face.

Waking up on the couch tangled in a blanket after a long nap in the middle of the day, disoriented and slightly sweaty. Sniffing your cat's belly after they've been toasting in a sunbeam for hours. This is my cool girl skin scent. It's warm, it's snuggly, it's cozy, and it stays close to my skin so it's inoffensive. The touch of spicy powder keeps it well out of the gourmand category, and balances the vanilla really well. It's a cheerful smell that lingers on my clothes even if I can't detect it on my skin hours after I've sprayed it.

I dont even know where to begin because I love this perfume so much. Makes me feel like a freaking molasses cookie. The best part of this fragrance could be the pink pepper– it doesn't fade during the dry down which adds a layer of sophistication and boldness to this delicate sweet scent. This being a musk/powder dominant fragrance, you do have to use a lot if you want it to extend further than your skin. Its the perfect scent for nighttime, I love to smell it while falling asleep. Its nostalgic for some reason

oh pas de chat, how i love you so! gorgeous cold weather scent. syrupy, golden, cozy, and warm, this fragrance sends me off to the sweetest of dreams. the madeleine cake and vanilla notes hold down the fort while the pink pepper opening (so perfect upon first spray that it almost makes me sneeze) dances for a moment before mellowing out to a hazy and comforting warmth of kitten fur. smells like cuddling with your cat under a knit blanket while you wait for whatever's baking to be ready. incredible

it smells like a kitty cat ! it rlly does ! not in a bad way either !!!!!! you might not notice it at first smell (or maybe im just used to owning cats) but i picked up my pet kitty freckles and sniffed her then sniffed the bottle. definitely similar. it has a peppery artificial birthday cake smell to me but not alcoholy at all which is why i love this pieceeee. kinda sad i got the rollerball version and not the spray but it was a little over my budget for the time. still love it

This smells like what I imagine a beloved white Persian cat that belongs to Elizabeth Taylor would smell like. It literally smells furry and sweet and comforting. It lounges on her blush velvet chaise in her dressing room and plays with her diamond earrings on her vanity. It’s very good and very unique. Signature scent worthy for sure. It projects a lot but still keeps its sweet airy fuzzy furry quality. I love this. Update: this smells like a sweeter denser Musc Ravageur

Pas de Chat is a sweet, fluffy, cozy comforting scent. It's a little nutty, a little vanillic, a touch woody and has a fluffy cozy warm hug of a base. It grips to your skin and makes a sweet cozy your skin but better scent. It smells like you are wearing a cashmere sweater. It stays closer to skin but does have more projection and waftiness than petit gateau. I'm very happy with my purchase. And the shop and owner are super kind and offer great customer service.

Pas de Chat is Petit Gateau's ever-so-slightly peppery, ever-so-slightly animalic fraternal twin sister. I personally really, really love Petit Gateau's honeyed marzipan twist, so it edges out Pas de Chat for me. But this is a delightful wear, and it lasted all day for me. It's sweet and lightweight. I never enjoy 'cake' and baked good notes outside of Odette's creations. I hope one day she does a whipped cream and berries sort of scent, I think she'd kill it.

Where do I begin? This is strikingly beautiful. In a room full of 200+ perfumes, this stood out to me the most. I was terrified of the "cat fur" as I do not have the best scent memories of cats. However, I am here to say, do not let the fur note deter you, it is more of a sweet and innocent anamalic musk grounded with a soft vanilla tonka base. The amber + musk + tonka combo reminds me so much of Penhaligons The World According to Arthur.

A lovely scent, nothing groundbreaking but warm and sweet with enough pepper at the opening to give my cat a little conniption when he sniffed the roller ball. This actually does remind me a little of Demeter Kitten Fur (which, oddly for Demeter, has better performance) and I find it nearly indistinguishable from Petit Gâteau, which I also got a rollerball of. I wish it had more projection but it’s very comforting and wearable.

Fur, musk, slightly sweet like some sort of cake, vanilla. This is very pretty and cute. However, not long lasting. But considering the affordable prices of this perfume house I think this is ok. You can easily afford a big bottle :) I'm planning to get the bigger size of this one (got a 30ml). It's different enough to justify a big size. This one feels like stuffing your nose in your cat fur and eating a piece of cake :)

This was recommended to me, and after seeing the notes I knew I had to buy. This is so sexy to me - it reads as musky and animalic but still with yummy and subtle sweet undertones. It smells expensive. It's fur blankets and luxury but it's still very delicate, not harsh or heavy. I quite love it because I feel it gives me an air of mystery and protection when I wear it, similar to how a black cat wanders confidently.

lol obviously this fragrance doesn’t ACTUALLY smell like cat fur, but is extremely comforting, warm and soft like a cat’s fur. Another thing I noticed, this smells insanely similar to Ludlow Lull by Gabar! The only difference is Chat is more intimate and sliiightly more vanilla (at half the price), while Ludlow has better silage/longevity and has a cherry note. Overall, very beautiful, classic vanilla skin scent!

Warm gourmand leaning skin musky situation ... how I want to smell clean after an evening bath moisturized pre-bed. I've been hoarding stuff in that category. Maybe I'll get this too.... also not getting the fur note but alas. --- Lasts 2 seconds on me ... approx

This is so cozy and soothing. It also has a smell that reminds me of babies in a way. This layered with Love Kills from Masque Milano is the perfect witchy, coquettish combo. Definitely happy to add this to my collection. It lasts 8 hours from me and I can still smell it on myself without having to bring my nose right up to the skin. Excited to try more from this line!

this is soo soft and lovely. i might never find a better gourmand than this, and i'm dead serious. every note belongs here, it smells like you're eating cake or a cupcake in one of those cute little pastel bakeries. it projects enough to smell but doesn't get overwhelming. it's a good everyday scent for the colder months. i need to get my hands on this

This is a light and airy vanilla. The sweetness smells like powdered sugar and is not at all cloying. The musk and fur add a wonderful layer to it. Super cozy and clean smelling. The only con is that the longevity is so weak. It lasts like an hour on me. This might be because I got the rollerball which makes it difficult to apply to clothing.

I want my entire life to smell like this. The perfect skin scent for people who like vanilla. I'm not sure if I can pick out the kitten fur note specifically, but this perfume gives me the same feeling of shoving my nose in my beloved cat's fur. Lasts much longer on clothes than skin for me. I'm buying the biggest bottle as soon as I can!

“Pas de Chat” is a beautifully cozy skin scent that's perfect for any season. The addition of a kitten fur note is particularly charming. The scent evokes a feeling of warmth and comfort. It reminds me of Nemat’s Amber oil perfume, yet finishes with a delightful light gourmand touch. I love it, and I am a big fan of this indie house!

Sweet, fluffy, and comforting! Like wearing a big cozy sweater, I love this on a cold day. Weirdly enough it actually changed the way I perceive the scent of my own kitty’s fur. Super unique! Dry down lasts a good 6+ hours. And this makes a great layering scent to make other scents warm and musky.

A quiet embrace from your childhood teddy, telling you everything will be okay. His fur is gently matted from your tears, but he smiles anyway. The tears make the giggles that much sweeter. He will be there for it all. Not too sweet, not too musky, perfectly comforting and nostaligic.

My new signature scent! This is the perfume equivalent to a warm hug. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a “my skin but better” scent. Warm, cozy, a little sweet, and lasts an eternity. I’ve gotten so many compliments since I’ve started wearing this a few weeks ago!

This is a beautiful musk that’s a touch animalic without veering dirty. Mixed with delicate gourmand notes, it’s a truly comforting scent. Super cozy, like being wrapped in your favorite fuzzy warm blanket. Reminds me a little bit of Kiehl’s Original Musk, but more gourmand.

I feel like nothing that I could say would not be redundant to some of the things that have already been said here.. But this may be my favorite perfume of all time - a beautiful and deeply comforting non-screechy vanilla gourmand musk with an animalic fur sensation.

like a lingering perfume on a sweater that you borrow from someone. warm and luxurious. doesn't exactly smell like my cats fur (still searching for that exact sweet musky scent) but i can smell the impression of it and that's close enough for me to appreciate

This is lovely, sweet but restrained, musky but not overly so, just lovely! This is also on the quiet if not shy side but it’s perfect for days when I don’t want to smell like a bomb. It’s pillowy sweet and wonderfully soft, I love it☁️☁️☁️

I absolutely love this. To my nose it’s a musky cinnamon, but not gummy cinnamon. It’s soft. I don’t have a cat but I think I get it. I have so many fragrances and this is unlike anything else I have. That alone is exciting.

Deeply beautiful and sensual. The pink pepper mixed with the cake note comes across like a warm cinnamon milk, and I am HERE for it. The kitten fur, if anything, just adds to the overall coziness - nothing animalic at all.

recently i've been layering with Fresh Cream Silk Cloud by Philosophy and it helps the longevity. honestly i just wear this to bed more often since a slight breeze outside would sweep the 4 sprays off of me
