06 Amanu

Amanu is a woody fragrance, but the highlight is not the woods, these are in the background, but the remarkable note of blood orange, which appears cool but not incisive, with a sweet spot, floral nuances with similar facets to neroli achieved by the point of jasmine and all this makes a fragrance with a very natural feel and accomplished background. Amanu has a green dot due to Galbanum that highlights not only the citrus scent of orange, but leads us to the smell of leaves and other point that makes us smell the tree trunk in the middle notes thanks to the contribution of wood cedar. The musky dry skin sets in this facet wooded until the final drying with a musky and slightly damp spot. The qualities and the mixture are good. right length without being excellent and low projection, which makes it ideal for daytime use and hot seasons. For my taste more wake would have been better. The effect is to be smelling an orange as a whole: first we open the fruit, then wring the leaves and finally a piece of bark and even roots, all with a very realistic effect. Rating: 6

I really like this, and don't understand the negative reviews. I like to wear Mandragore by Annick Goutal (I like the orange woodiness of it) and since Im out I was about to place an order when I came across this at a super cheap price. I blind bought it hoping for the best, and Im happy to report it's one of my more successful blind buys. 06 opens with a brisk blood orange that reminds me of the opening of Hermes Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate. But instead of the fruity musk that plagues Hermes, this is more floral. The white flowers are sweet like they are in Tom Ford Soliel Blanc but way more smooth and they stay far in the background. Then the cedar and green notes kick in and this part has a mild medicinal/antiseptic feel. This unusual contrast tames the floral/citrus notes and makes them seem clean, modern and tilts this slightly masculine. Overall high quality, unusual, distinctive and elegant. Thumbs way way up.

gelo999 has described this fragrance well, so no need for me to reinvent the wheel. I'll limit myself in saying that this is a great scent, but unfortunately overspraying is mandatory given its historically poor performance . A "love" downgraded to just "like" because of its poor performance - unacceptable for a fragrance at that price point. Really great unisex and unique scent, but glad I paid only a fraction of its original price for a partial bottle on ebay. Spring/Fall days, 25+ Edit: this scent is simply heavenly: ultra relaistic fresh/whie floral garden on top on a rounded musky cedar base, with a vague impression of tobacco in the late drydown (moss). Upgraded to a small love, as a bit of overspraying solves many problems.

Congratulations to the winner of the Fifi Indie award! Amanu has blood orange, green galbanum and mastic in the top notes, magnolia, aged cedar leaf and jasmin sambac in the heart, and amberwood, musk and live moss in the base. It opens fresh, and as krmarich mentioned, almost aquatic. For a moment Amanu is as familiar as an old friend from the '90s, but then it drifts into exotic territory, with notes that aren't immediately familiar to my nose and strike a chord of mystery and novelty. It then becomes velvety, green and mossy until the musk emerges. Amanu is a well-crafted fragrance that is light enough for spring and summer, as well as everyday wear in situations where sillage monsters are not welcome. Overall, I enjoyed Amanu, but was slightly disappointed in that I was hoping for a Fifi winner that was absolutely spectacular...oh well. The point that others made about the price is well-taken, and I couldn't help thinking that this frag would be less expensive and more truly "Indie" if it were sold at Free People as opposed to Barney's. Thanks to the generosity of Fragrantica for the opportunity to sample Amanu.

شروع ای سبز و صَمغی اما نه صَمغ چسبنده و خُشک مثل رِزین ها رایحه ای گیاهی و علفی از گالبانوم که به خوبی قابل تشخیص است و مُرکبات سرحال و تازه با تِم خُنک و شاداب بعد از چند دقیقه رایحه ای چوبی سر و کله اش پیدا میشه که یک وایب پودری همراهی اش می کنه که ترکیب سدر و چیزی شبیه به وتیور هست بخش گُلی خیلی قوی نیست و عنوان شاخص ای به مشام ام نرسید اما حالت تمیز و سفید ای به عطر بخشیده و فقط در شروع و با دقت،کمی یاس به مشام می رسه خوش بوی بی جان ***************** scent:8/10 longevity:5/10 sillage:4/10 purchase value:3/10 ******** overall:5/10

Very interestingly, this fragrance smelled nothing like the stated ingredients. The initial opening is reminiscent of freshly clipped green English ivy, possibly due to herbaceous galbanum and lentisque. Sambac jasmine is ever so subtle, as is the blood orange. After initially reading ingredients and expecting a bright citrus/floral scent, I was surprised to find a much more verdant accord. Nevertheless, it is beautiful in its artistry and a strong offering from the ODIN brand. (31)

Elegant aquatic opening for this unisex (masculine leaning) scent. It develops into a warmer, richer fragrance, while retaining some of the citrusy brightness of the opening. To me, it smells like a warm wind blowing through an orchard with lemongrass on a hill by the sea. The fragrance seems to stay quite close to the skin, although that might be because I'm not using an atomizer. All in all, great masculine scent - I would love to smell this on a guy!

Thank you for the sample of 06! I love the dark, mysterious wood and floral notes that bubble up to the surface, and it smells particularly great on my man. Plus he kinda likes the fact that I won this little gem for him to wear. On me it's all wood and no floral though so it's definitely for him. It's a bit like something I would imagine Merlin would smell like if I ever bumped into him in the forest.

This is a beautiful but very light green and floral scent. Its green vibe is similar to L'Aquatinic by Lancome without the spiceness. All I get is green notes and a tiny pinch of jasmin and magnolia. Suitable for very high temperatures but it can't live more than 3.5-4 hours. Leans slightly to feminine scents.

rating: 8/10 I use it with Odin 09 together - one spray each arm. I love the mixture of both rather than the development of just single one. They last quite long, at least 4-5 hours, which I like very much.

I must really be missing something here. I was looking forward to trying the perfumes from this line because the note pyramids sound so enticing and the packaging looks so slick. Rather than smelling what I'm told to smell, I decided to draw a perfume at random and sniff it before reading the notes allegedly present. Amanu 06 was the winner. What did I smell? Violet leaf. Seriously, those were the first two words out of my mouth. I am having a very difficult time distinguishing this scent from Cartier Eau de Cartier Concentrée--or basically any other very strong violet leaf-centered composition. Unfortunately, Amanu is quite a bit flatter and grayer than the fragrances of which it evokes memories. Here are a few items which I absolutely do not smell here: blood orange, green galbanum, jasmin sambac, magnolia I can accept that there are aromachemical representations of these notes: lentisque, cedarleaf (does that by chance smell A LOT like violet leaf???), amberwood, sheer musk, live moss This looks and smells like more concept and packaging than substance and perfume. Unfortunately, I'm not even really enjoying wearing Amanu and am scheming about what to put on that might cover up the overwhelming "violet leaf" or "cedar leaf" or whatever this is. Désolée.

20)I do not understand this brand. It sells at an exorbitant price perfumes evanescent and without much personality. Yes it smells good ... like a cologne to 20 € per liter. The worst is that it is perhaps the best of the range.

Kevin Vespoor has done something I never expected; he created a scent that rivals in dark mystery with the vintage Lancome Magie Noire. Odin 06 Amanu is enigmatic in the same way. The opening is fresh, yet earthy. It smells of woods and damp green leaves, yet there is spice, incense, cool flowers, and something I just can’t put my finger on. It seems rather grounded in a subtle earthy way at first, but then the mystery begins. Just like Magie, it is difficult to identify any single note after that. It is a force. It is addictive and bewitching. It makes me think of the Northern coast of Florida...ancient trees draped with Spanish moss, the heavy scent of Magnolias , the black water of the bay that flows into the Gulf of Mexico...definitely magic. I dare say, Odin 06 may even be more clever than Magie. Whereas Magie Noire breaks the door down with silleage, Odin 06 Amanu elegantly and quietly slips in, and enchants slowly but unforgettably. It wears beautifully as a skinscent, and clings closely with a warm spiciness, yet the next moment goes all green and cool. I caught the icy, silver hints of Chanel No 19 about an hour in. I am very interested in the work of Kevin Vespoor, and originally ordered this for my husband. It is mine now. I love the brown, heavy bottle. It is very fitting for this dark magic.

Wow! gorgeous green ivy like opening which then reveals a sweetness of clean white florals it must be the jasmine and magnolia, although it doesn't smell like Jasmine...more magnolia perhaps? The overall accord is one of cedar but it a sweet refreshing cedar and musk. This is due to the mastic/lentisque resin which gives a turbo charged cedar smell that is sweeter than cedar alone. I don't get a great deal of much else from this scent but I really like Amanu it's a clean, bright green effort from Odin. I'd wear this in summer for sure. Projection & Longevity are average.

Mannnnn forget the little sample I have. My full bottle just arrived in the mail. It smells like a lush super vivid green garden in the sunlight with living moving plant vines crawling on the ground and poison ivy is everywhere. A beautiful poison ivy. It's like the forbidden garden. Eden perhaps. Or, like peeling back vines off of an old gate or fence to gain passage. So many vines and little flowers and you pulling at them and dropping them on the ground and the smell of the air around you is this parfum. Sooo gorgeous! Sorry, I have an active imagination.

Lovely! Opening is very orangy and mastic whit tiny bit of greenery but then it blooms this wonderful magnolia accord (I dont actually thing there is real magnolia oil) it reminds me of the flowers when they begin to ripe and go a bit brownish. Good memories! I dont find it a dark and mysterious fragrance, but a contemplative one. Odin never disappoints! I am a fan of all their fragrances
