Puro Lino

Cleanest and airiest kind of fragrance that I never met in my life before. Clear purity in the bottle. Fresh towels from barbershop dried in the garden. Childhood... grandma closet with white bedclothes – wonderful memory from the past. White shirt of the gentlemen, who is going to the church every Sunday. Cool air which wakes you up every morning during lazy vacation. Puro Lino is really wonderful scent that everybody knows from the past. However it is very modern and comforting, nothing old-fashioned. There is almost chemical freshness that will surround you. I think this aura is created by the aldehydes and geranium; musk (the white one and not animalic) also play important role giving this “fresh shirt effect”. In my opinion PL is the winner in the group of fresh, clean fragrances.

Excellent, easy to wear and unique, very good quality, this doesn’t smell like the other laundry type fragrances but does give of a laundry detergent type smell and has excellent longevity and decent projection., just finished my bottle and finding it very hard to find not sure if discontinued 8.1/10

In the world of "not a perfume" fragrances PURO LINO is a winner in my book. I was wearing the sample for whole day and it was simply adorable. Even though the aldehydic opening might be off putting for some as it's rather sharp and chemical, I think it's the most accurate smell to represent freshly washed linen sheets with a good old old school washing powder (unscented though). It smells fresh, clean and very comfy. As the scent develops, aldehydes calms down and I am left with a beautifully fresh and clean musky lemon verbena. It lasted around 6 hours and maybe even more as it blends with ones chemistry so well that it's somehow hard to distinct where my own smell ends and where PURO LINO begins, I did get compliments on how clean I smell around 8 hours after applying PURO LINO. PURO LINO will be a perfect choice for those seeking a clean, but not soapy scent for their everyday use in "no-scent-policy" environment. You will smell like you just put on a clean pair of clothes. Unlike most other creations of this kind this is also very unique do to the old school chemical vibe from the first hours.

Puro Lino is interesting fresh citrussy smell suitable for hot summer days. I have read some reviews where the perfume is compared to a detergant. I can ́t see it that way. It ́s quite strong on my skin, which is unusal. Most perfumes stay on my clothes longer and I cannot smell them from my skin at all. For me it is more male than female. But, amazingly, it works for me. It ́s a strong like.

Meh. I think this smells lovely on fabrics (no wonder given its name!), but I don't want my skin to smell of it. Nice geranium, and the cleanest musk ever. Monstrous projection and longevity, I was literally waiting for it to fade.

This smells like Lenor washing detergent. It's nice if you want to smell like that but not something I would wear as a perfume.

Pure and a little dated white soap bar. Smells like my grandmother house. Old but high quality white sheets cleaned harshly with a classic multipurpose white soap bar. Due to my personal association, smells mature, less modern that other soapy/laundry-like perfumes I have tested. I thought I was going to love that, as I love every single "clean" perfume that I have tried, but I do not. This one has a shadowy facet, like soap in a busy and crowded home: everything is clean but life keeps happening and the soap is here to erase the unpleasant things. It is not pure, bright, new or fresh as many other perfumes in the cathegory are. If other clean perfumes (Blanche, The Muse, Per Se, Couleur Primaires, etc.) are new, light, bright, pristine, soft sheets; Puro Lino is clean, yes, but those are used and reliable sheets, a little rough, a sheets that have been cleaned and taken care of, but also passed through generations and are now usable and practical, but lacks that beauty and freshness of the new ones.

Take the most concentrated citrus scented laundry detergent. Open the package, put your nose as close as it gets and take a very deep breath... This is bold. It's a statement - offensively clean you against the dirty world. The definition of antiperfume. Hats down for the bravery. Wearable? Somewhat. If you decide to wear it, go easy on the sprayer. This statement is loud.

I should have adored this frag due to each of the notes, but somehow it's just really awful on me. It's like my old citrusy toilet freshener that I don't want to use because its smell is terrorizing me more than the place I gotta use it in. It's harsh, cloying, rude, sour, violently citrusy and overall a vile olfactive attack for my nose. Big NO!!!

I agree with my fellow reviewer, Puro Lino is a fragrance that reminds me of laundered and starched shirts. Officina della Essenze successfully completed their mission and came up with this fragrance that, with great sillage and longevity, perfectly depicts the scent of freshly laundered clothes (though I must admit that my laundry smells very different). Puro Lino was constructed around main notes of aldehydes and musk which give the fragrance a very soapy feel; on top of that I have the feeling that I can actually smell the fabric (clearly linen, not cotton or anything else). The fragrance reminds me of the good old times when I was a kid and when clothes were washed and spun in two different machines (long before the invention of hypo-allergen and fragrance-free fabric softeners). I cannot picture myself actually wearing Puro Lino but it certainly sent me on a nice trip down memory lane.

I got a small decant and have tried twice now. I'm not sure how I feel about it since I had high expectations. It certainly opens fresh and clean, it's a detergent-like scent that is not overdone like "laundry" scents often are. However after 30 minutes to an hour, it immediately dries down into a very synthetic musky note that's almost leathery to me, which I do not like. I'm not sure if it's just my skin that's doing this. The nice fresh scent lasts but the synthetic musk is still there bothering me. I will continue giving this more tries until I run out.

I bought Puro Lino after watching Jeremy Fragrance video on strongest smelling perfumes. He recommended it as a laundry scent. I don't find it as strong as he says but its a nice, clean, fresh scent. As a caregiver to my grandmother who is in her nineties and very incontinent, I use it to cover the smell of urine between washings. It works. Jeremy and Puro Lino - strongly recommended for nursing homes.

It's no White Linen. I think I would like this better as something I could add to a load of wash, on a dryer sheet, or while ironing a shirt, rather than as a perfume. Kind of a starchy-type smell, neither particularly feminine or masculine. More of a fragrance for clothes than for skin. I am going to try layering this with another perfume and see if that makes a difference.

This is like the top of channel number 5 eau premiere. It doesn’t change on me and doesn’t last long on skin but is decent on clothes. Citrusy detergent.
