Oilily Eau de Toillete

This is not fruity or fresh smelling at all. It's woody, dry and floral smelling. The notes I smell most are oakmoss, vetiver and lily-of-the-valley. Slightly sweet. This would be nice for a young girl that doesn't want to smell just sickly sweet and fruity, like most do nowadays. At the same time, this could be viewed as "out-dated" and too "mature" by most young teen girls.

This is one of those fragrances that can either remind you of your childhood or how you'd imagine you'll smell when getting older. For my dislike, it's the second option. I found it way too mature smelling... The citrus notes get lost in the flowery musky scent, which is strong and heavy. Absolutely strange... Smells almost like a porcelain doll house. The only pro is that after a couple of hours the scent dies down to a more subtle flower smell, but still too mature for my liking (I'm 22 years old). I would advice you definitely smell this a ton of times before purchasing.

@Habanita: thanks for this posting; I couldn't say it in a better way ;) Sugary water - like Versace's Red Jeans. The times are gone for this kind of perfumes (at least for me).

This is a kind of all flowery and fruity scents that I can only see on young girls. For me it's a bit too "kitschy".

I wore this as a youngster and looking back, I understand how this fragrance can be deeply "polarizing" in that you will either love it or hate it. Oilily Classic always had very strong projection on my skin, with the sour [from citrus], sweet [from alkaline fruits], floral, and woody notes all poised to assail the senses at once. If this perfume were a young girl, she would be sanguine, vibrant, and peppy w/ a taste for the exotic - perfect for those who want an olfactory waker-upper. But if you want something discreet I suggest skipping on this, especially if you plan to wear it in tropical or humid climes where this scent mingles with the moisture in the air or on the skin, making it slightly overbearing.
