Routes Nomades Eau de Parfum

Routes Nomades by Ojar is a spicy, smoky, leather perfume with a distinct niche character. It opens with a warm, aromatic hit of cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon, immediately setting a rich and cozy tone. As it develops, sharp cypress and dry vetiver cut through the warmth, giving it an earthy backbone. The leather accord here isn't your typical smoky or animalic kind—instead, it's softened and blended seamlessly with patchouli and incense, creating a complex, smoky-leathery effect that feels both modern and refined. Definitely not a crowd-pleaser, but for the right nose, it's a rewarding experience. rating: 3.5/5

I really don't know how to feel about Routes Nomades. I really dislike the opening -- it's too sharp/tart -- and in the late opening / mid, the scent seems so faint that I can only discern a few individual notes. It feels like I've gone nose blind, but I can't tell. Still, from what I can smell, it developes into a light vetiver-leather fragrance, and I like it. If I'm going to grab a fragrance from this house, though, Encens Cuivre and Infusion Velours are the much better options. And if I'm going for a non-cloying leather scent profile, Omanluxury Paramour is currently tops on my list in that genre. Still, there's something unique about Routes Nomades -- at least, within my collection of over 230 fragrances. So for now, it's a maybe for me as to whether it's full-bottle worthy.

Smells similar to the drydown of Maison Crivelli’s iris malikhan. Great perfume albeit on the dryer side
