Fruity

This is such a happy, playful and fun perfume. It could have gone into saccharine or childish territory but it doesn't. It smells like Hackney strawberry cider day-drinking in the summer after grazing on artisanal street food before going to lie in the park and watch kaleidoscopic London go about its day. Later there's a band playing, laughing in the street, and enough water and fresh air that you still get up for yoga the next day. I love it.

Philadelphus is another word for mock orange. But, raspberry bud is not the same as raspberry. This, together with the strawberry leaf, explains this intense vegetal opening, which seems to last and last. It almost feels medicinal, but I admit I like this sort of thing. There is also a note that comes across as pineapple-y, but it might be the combo of something else. This phase lasts a fair deal of time (also joined by the cinnamon apples). But, then, it transmutes into a second phase, which is absolutely glorious. The philadelphus coming through is a revelation, plus a light musk and the residual fruity notes. I understand why they described it as fruity, but I feel it might give people wrong expectations. Same issue with the Oriental one in their line up; to my nose it comes across as an incense perfume. This one (the fruity one) is tougher to suggest an alternative because it's more complex, but how about: a green earthy fruity floral musk. Performance is excellent.

In my opinion, Fruity is one of the best fragrances in its category; it definitely stands out. After the initial spray I get a whiff of fruit drops. A minute later, it changes into delicious fruit salad - a mix of sweet strawberries, apricots, ripe apples with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a few drops of lemon juice. And this sweet, almost jammy, mouthwatering fruit salad is served on a musky base garnished with a patchouli leaf. Fruity is well blended, natural smelling and simply delicious! It is sweet and fruity, but not juvenile. I think that it can be worn all year round and even layered with other fragrances. It's worth checking out if you're a fan of this genre.

Ruined by patchouli which dominates here over fruits.

i NEVER want to smell this on me ever again! At first it was pleasant but then it turned awful after a few minutes after warming up to my skin, YUCK! When it changes on your skin its just horrible! Already not impressed with this brand!
