Pour Femme

Out of the bottle, this is a musky aldehydic BIG floral full of mainly jasmine, narcissus and tuberose with some woody elements from the rosewood and sandalwood. It is divine. If you love musky, vintage florals, you have to sniff this one. I also know there has to be oakmoss in this even though it is not in the notes. It was sweet in the top but gets drier, mossier and woodier as it tames down. In the bottom of the middle it is serious oakmoss. In the base, civet. Lovely yummy civet.

What a lovely vintage floral bomb this one is! It’s already pretty in the first spray and will get prettier and potent later with strong jasmine, tuberose, and ylang presence. Bergamot keeps it from being overly floral-sweet, and the amber provides a delicate warm nuances. Oh, and the flacon is a beauty too! Black gold symmetrical structure. What a shame i just found out this hidden gem.

Wow, what a beauty. Quite indolic in a beautiful way. Just sings 'Perfume'! When is the tide going to turn and we can purchase this wonderful style of fragrance again? Love it! Thanks, Dierre!

I love this so much.., nice strong floral

I sure don't smell fecal at all ... thank god! I must have a plain olfactory!? It opens loud and proud, but appeared to soften quickly. There is a sharp and overwhelming aldehyde smell to the opening, but not the one most of us are use to, the aldehyde C7 (herbaceous green), but if this contains an aldehyde, I think it would be C9 (smelling of roses). The opening is very much a dominate Rose opening (C9 aldehyde) hiding Jasmine and Ylang-ylang with a subtle citrus undertone. I'm sure a more refined nose can pick out others. When applying a frag for the first time, I'm generally hit with a, "This Smells Like/Resembles such and such." The frag name doesn't always pop up, but I always know when I've smelled something similar before. The first application of this frag was no exception. I'm not quite sure, because I have it packed away, but the first frag to come to mind was Oscar De Le Renta (Oscar) and now that it's taken me so long to write this, the dry-down is starting to morph & resemble Mitsouko Extract Guerlain (Chypre Fruity). Having a frag morph from one group to another is a first for me or my first time noticing!? While this is nice, I don't think it's worth what some are asking for it on eBay!!! It's not worth $15 an oz & some wanting much more ($60oz) for an EDT no less! I get supply and demand, but I also get best return for your money .... those prices aren't it! There are by far hundreds of "vintage", *OF and modern frags out there that cost much less or have a bigger bang for the buck; Unfortunately one really doesn't know until they've sampled it for themselves. *OF= Original Fragrance/ Original Formulation Happy smells to you all!

This is my first vintage and first blind buy. My relationship with this fragrance is complicated. I do not like it too much to wear it outside. But since I have a full bottle that cost me ~$40, I do not feel bad spraying it now and then just because I can. The first couple of minutes feels like a vintage perfume storm - old lady like, heavy white florals bathing in aldehydes and strong enough to repel anybody. Those first minutes determine why it's a in-house only fragrance for me: not sure if it fits a public picture of mid 20s white female scientist. After ~30min., the drydown is very soft amber and sandalwood with just enough tuberose, narcissus and some rose to keep it fresh and nice. It's very cozy and intimate, cannot stop sniffing myself. Staying power is about 6-8h with moderate to soft sillage. And though I'm not crazy about Pour Femme, actually this is the perfume that I wear most often recently, at home only.

If you are looking for a dark rosy floral with a vintage edge, Omar Sharif pour Femme is very well worth trying. This is one of the unknown masterpieces that has been overlooked because of it's name, but the actual nose is the famous: Francoise Caron. This perfume takes off with bergamot and a acrid green narcissus note that runs alongside the whole composition and gives it a beautiful zing. In the heart dwells a tad of sweetness which smells like dark honey, surrounded by potent tuberose, jasmine and rose, and then the rosewood that brings a masculine note to it. It's surley a late 80's early 90's relique with all that comes with it. Not the biggest powerhouse but nevertheless, apply carefully. I's a longlasting fragrance with the most beautiful drydown. This fragrance is very rare and hard to find. I consider it a masterpiece.

Now i have tried this perfume it luckily has a smell. To me it's more of a spicy, woody and a little chypre kind of perfume. The projection is soft but there. Longtivity is moderate. So i think my bottle has not the strength anymore like it supposed to be but good enough to use it and enjoy it. Bit still little bit disappointed because reading all the reviews my expectations were too high. It's a nice good fragrance but not unique. I have smelled this kind of perfumes before. So a like for me not love.

😢i would have tried this perfume very much. I have bought a full bottle of this but unfortunately the perfume has expired. So i can't say i like or love it. Well that's always the risk with vintage bottles sometime you win and sometime you loose.

Stunning! Absolutely glorious deep floral amber civet bomb. At first spray I was put off. Too sweet. Too fruity. Too busy with plenty of notes screaming all at once. But then it just clicked. My nose adjusted to the intense sweetness. Stunning florals came to live. Sticky resinous ambery base is just soo elegant, in a heavy luxurious way. Civet comes alive in the dry down. The type of scent you wear to bed when its cold and raining outside or even snow. Funny to see some say its not worth 15$ when we have modern fragrances full of cheap aroma molecules, poor blending sold for 100-300$ a bottle and people happy to pay. Here you got real floral extracts, amazingly rich, attar like ambery base plus a very skilful blending. Absolutely worth it even if it cost 150$ 30ml.

In fact, it is a familiar, floral smell with a character from a few decades ago. But the fact that it is not the most original perfume in the world does not take away from its charm. Parfum "Arpège" type. The first minutes have something that reminds me of cognac and facial cream, I love them. I feel a bitter animalic note quickly take over this floral, I love this too. Something green stands out, a little metallic and after a while the flowers settle into a calmer amber background. Have a good trip!

A big rose hit then it's so fecal .What a shame I had such high hopes maybe it will get less fecal as it dries down.
