Dreamer

Perhaps one of the least complicated of One Seed’s fragrances - and that’s not a diss. Sweet orange candy, a touch of spice (ginger, pepper), subtle green (clary sage), and delicate aromatic notes of orange blossom. Again, lovely. That this line failed in the US makes me sad - it’s why we don’t have nice things. No, we get boring iteration of pretend Oud after boring iteration, all desperately smiling and touting emperor’s clothing of rarity.

Love this. On me it's that holy grail -- a fruit syrup gourmand that doesn't smell at all artificial. On saying that though, I don't pick out any specific fruit, only a lovely blend of stone fruits and non-sharp citruses (juice rather than peel). Creamy but not vanillic. Powdery but not dusty or cosmetic. The dry down is One Seed's gorgeous cotton candy/maltol note: powdery, soft, sweet but not tooth-achingly so.

Feb 2020 Okay, I'll try to elaborate since noone wants to review it. I think they changed the notes a bit because it says that it has Heliotrope on the bottom of the box but it obviously does not have it. Heliotrope sounded "dreamy" to me but all you smell are the Ginger and Citrus. You will smell like the most delicious bowl of salad dressing if that is what you want. I love the Ginger in Armani Code for Women but this wasnt anything like it. I found the Ginger too savoury spicy. This was heavily clearanced at Marshalls for $12 for 30ml, normally $67 plus shipping from Australia, or I wouldnt have bothered. It's suppose to be unisex so maybe it will smell better on a dude. Shrug.

This is interesting. Imagine a homemade fruit cocktail, sweetened with fresh juice rather than corn syrup, made up of wild stone fruit. Sage is prominent, and there's a touch of ginger, so the whole composition is weirdly but pleasingly fruity-herbal. The One Seed fragrances I've tried all teeter on the border between discordant and satisfyingly unusual. If I think too much about this, my nose gets confused. If I just allow it to register subliminally, Dreamer's sweet/fruity-aromatic/herbal blend is an oddly enjoyable experience.
