#1604 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this decant from scentsplit.com for $5.99, bottle price $240 and I can't find it cheaper elsewhere. My third Onyrico trial. I enjoyed "Archimede" and "Empirio." At first whiff Fragrance DuBois "Minuet et Demi" flashed to mind, but that scent is way more gourmand. I had reservations about this one because of the pimento. I'm not a fan of pimento in any scent. Here in North Carolina pimento cheese spread is a cultural icon, though fading in popularity as our state has gotten increasingly international ethnically and culturally. [Thank God.] Some scents have so much pimento that it ruins the scent for me (Tom Ford "Grey Vetiver"). Others like this one have less, but in the dry down I still think I'm getting a whiff of "Carolina Burger", something that the drive thru burger places like Wendy's and Burger King used to occasionally offer here, but no longer [Thank God.], where they substituted pimento cheese spread for actual cheese. Otherwise, a nice scent. [I can do without the rose note as well, but it doesn't dominate.] Not sure how this scent honors Leonardo Da Vinci, but the marketing manager has to write up with something for the release, I guess. It's basically woods, incense, cinnamon and nutmeg. I would say if you like John Varvatos "Oud" (Goes for about $60. I have it and like it.), you'll like this as well. All of the Onyrico fragrances have good quality ratings. Silage remained arm's length for almost three hours. Lasted on my skin for five. So, the quality is good enough. It will probably get noticed by someone standing close for a couple of hours, by an intimate partner for several, but shouldn't offend in tight spaces unless over-sprayed. Nice scent, but not a "must have" for me at $240. Definitely try a decant before you buy at this price. Good Luck and Good Hunting!
