So, I just got a sample of this from Sniph the other day and it's no stretch to say that the supposed Italian inspiration is right on the mark here. The opening is certainly very, very, citrusy and green. Like pressing the peel of a bergamott fruit still several weeks from being ripe. The opening has so much green citrus bitterness that I came to think of tomato plant stems! The bitterness settles into a more lemony note and then keeps transcending into a sweeter orange note, slightly reminiscent of Molton Brown's "Orange & Bergamot" but less creamy and more natural. Once the orange kicks in, the previously prominent bitterness is all but gone and the sweeter aspect of this scent starts to present itself. Now I pick up on some lavender and florals but there is an ever present bergamot spicyness that feels very fresh and warm. Optico.it creates a well balanced harmony of classic Italian themes that feel vey fresh and inviting. After at day at the beach, with salty skin and hair, a rewarding shower followed by a few splashes of Optico.it would make you ready for an early evening stroll through a Calabrian village. Stopping by a taverna for a few refreshing drinks, the evening continues with a lovely seaside dinner long into the mediterranian night. The scent is very nice and fresh but not exactly unique in terms of theme. Still, it holds its own and is well worth a try if the theme is what you're looking for. Other scents that create the same feel, but that aren't nessecarily akin scent-wise would be Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino, 4711 and maybe Mugler's Cologne. So far on first day wearing this the lasting power seems slightly weaker than I had hoped, but I am so far indoors in an air conditioned office. Add some sunshine and it might emanate better.

Opens with a blast of urinal cakes, transitions through a distinct Windex-phase and settles into a quite pleasant albeit weak sweet lemon/orange lozenge. I find it okay once it's settled down but it's hard not to smell cleaning products. Maybe it works better layered over something else.
