Oud Old Fashioned

#1478 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I get it. This has some notes in common with Kilian's "Angel Share" and everyone knows that scent. But it has some important notes not in common. Whiskey comes off nothing like cognac for one. The iris here is very strong for two. The plum adds a rich and deep fruitiness for three. The citrus of the orange for four. "Angel's Share on the Rocks" comes closer. But this is really more like Lattafa "Khamrah" or Moresque "Perpetual" with the fruitiness. I prefer this to Angel's Share, I'd place this in a tie with Khamrah, and I'd put Moresque Perpetual ahead of those. The nuttiness of the Perpetual, and the dark cherry works for me better than plum. But I love Guerlain "L'Homme Ideal" EDP for the dark cherry, and to me that scent excels this scent, the Kilian, the Lattafa, and I'd put it in a tie with the Moresque except for the high price of the Moresque. Obviously the bargain brand among these scents is the Lattafa Khamrah which is an awesome scent for the low price. This is long lasting, good sillage, everyone will like it, no one will offended, though it could get cloying in tight spaces. Unisex for sure. Casual and date wear for guys. Fair price.

This one stayed on a test strip for about four or five days, lingering of cinnamon and bourbon. It's nice. I went back to buy it and wore it today. I'll summarize briefly: - Mature and slightly sweet - Not super strong, but present - Boozy but light in scent, not heavy to wear at all - Unisex but male leaning My biggest complaint by FAR is that it didn't last on my skin. 4 hours after a heavy application I couldn't find it on my skin whatsoever, even with a deep sniff right on my wrists where I last applied it. If you want a boozy fragrance that's a little more subtle, but genuinely high quality and complex, I would strongly recommend Oud Noir Divine Rai Phalail. It lasts a very long time and is possibly a little more office friendly. I just listed my XO for sale, because between the two I prefer the Divine fragrance. I wouldn't buy it again because of the price ($189.) For about $30 more you can get 50 mL of something truly magnificent from Les Indemodables that lasts for ages. I wish I'd invested in that brand instead. BEWARE of traveling with this bottle. It's 120 mL and will be taken from you at TSA.

I just wanted to add an update after owning this for several months, this is an unbelievable niche quality frag, so happy with the purchase. The longevity is still insane, it smells even smoother than when I purchased it and it already was incredible. What you're getting it basically the Angels' Share DNA, minus the almond, hedione, and praline, replace those notes with a heavier sandwood and incense, and add a pinch of iris, a tiny grain of myrrh, and a hefty dose of freshly peeled orange rind and you get XO Old Fashioned. It's a much more masculine take on the DNA. This holds up a little bit better in the spring and cooler summer nights than similar frags. The quality is incredible for the price. This smells better than a lot of the niche frags I own and blows away not only every AS clone/ twist I've tried, but also the OG. 10/10 fragrance!

I have smelled quite a few dupes of Angels' Share, this one completely blows away every other one I have smelled. This honestly smelled better than the real deal to me, and much more masculine as well: it has a smokey incense quality to it. Performance is absolutely amazing on this: beast mode longevity and projection. The store I sampled it on is asking around $80 for a 4oz bottle, amazing for the price! I hope they release a 2 oz size like they did for some other the others in the line. Edit: I ended up purchasing a 4oz bottle for $90 and it's one of the best fragrance purchases I have ever made. A little goes a long way, very rich, opulent, and stunning juice. This is 10/10 fragrance for me. This makes Angel's Share completely redundant.

This is pretty much Killian Angel's Share but just a bit less expensive and lasts a long time. The performance on this is insane and lasts easily 12 hours. I've never heard of this brand before and decided to try it out and Im happy with the decision i made to get it. The presentation with this is really nice aswell. They give you a big case instead of the traditional box you'd get with other colognes. Highly recommend.

Spectacular, magnificent, beautiful, gorgeous perfume with an incredible note change over time. The scent journey begins with the notes of cozy baked cinnamon plum, continues to vanilla and ends with floral goodness. Such a beautiful combination that is unique, long lasting and, I’m not even kidding, made me feel IN LOVE! Definitely my favorite perfume. (Perfect for the cold seasons)

I tested this out at a store. I won't rate it because it was on a test strip. But this was really good. Ideal for winter/fall nights. Very similar DNA to Angel Share and all the dupes. Feel like it was more subtle and less intense than Kismet Angel for example. The cinnamon obviously sticks out

Big fan of this fragrance; it has a boozy, cinnamon immediate opening before the fruit comes through, followed by the smokiness. It’s different to anything else I have with the nearest being Maison Margiela’s Jazz Club. It’s warm and inviting and a new boozy favourite 🥃

Absolutely its own fragrance, and a beautiful one at that. But this is kinda like 1 Million Lucky done way more professionally.

Super smooth from open until dries down. There’s no hint of that cheap, synthetic smell with most budget clone right after spraying, which shows the oil is really high quality made. This made me feel like I was using an original perfume, not a clone, also got my nose accustomed to high quality, so much so that when I smelled something of lower, I found it unpleasant, which wasn't the case before. It’s got a fresher vibe than XO Oud Bleu (best Layton clone), which is another killer scent from Orientica. Old Fashioned last over 12 hours, projection’s about an arm’s length. It stays closer to the skin. People said it’s got some Angel Share's vibe. I haven’t tried AS myself, so can’t compare, but this one starts off fruity with a boozy kick and the dries down is kind of tasty cake. If they’re anything alike, that’s pretty cool. However, this bottle has one issue: the connection between the pump and bottle neck isn’t completely tight, which causes the fragrance to evaporate and it might leak if not careful. Either way, this has turned into my new favorite scent, especially the drydown is so addictive. It deserves way more attention than just a few reviews i can find online. 9/10 update - boozy note a little weak for my taste, i wish it could be tronger a bit, then 9,5/10

A Little Update So, I tried AS at Sephora today. The opening and mid are really intense, complex, and a bit darker. It kinda made me think of a fresh cigarette (or cigar) just out of the pack, and you're sniffing the tobacco leaves inside, super rich and spicy. Oud Old Fashioned is lighter and simpler, but the drydown for both is super similar, 95%. Both are beastmode. If you like that rich, spicy, and sharper vibe, go for AS. If you prefer something a bit milder then Oud Old Fashioned. And honestly, at this price point, I'm definitely choosing OOF, it's just top tier!

Ok, I guess I will be the first to talk about this one and I'll keep it brief and start of by saying, It isn't something I'd personally wear. It's a thick and sweet fragrance. It smells like Killian angel's share but done in a middle eastern way. I don't get too much booze. smokey cinnamon with Tonka bean is how it comes across. It's also very oily on the skin. So if you like Angel's share, Khamra, Kismet angel or even Raghba types of scent profile. Then you'll surely like this as well. Even though it's made out of good quality, it's not my cup of tea.

Quite expensive dupe of Angels' Share but worth it, I prefer the logevity on this one over the original, it last forever and quality of raw materials seems very good! It's not like the other XO collection. I believe they're doing something good with their Exclusive collection... Also to mention is a 120 ml Extrait de Parfum so makes more sense for the price, not like the Royal Amber Exclusive that is an 80 ml bottle...
