Ethereal, Aquatic, floral with a woody dry-down, one of my favorite affordable fragrances, I alway get it on sale (for like 6-8 Euros) I keep repurchasing it for years and I always have a bottle. To be honest, I`m not sure if some people who write reviews on fragrantica actually know how specific herbs, resins or flowers smell in real life. Thanks to my friend, I have Lily of the valley growing on my balcony and garden and I`ve also been working with all sorts of essential oils and absolutes for years during schooling for fitotherapy and aromatherapy. This lily of the valley note, in this specific blend, has a really lovely depiction of lily of the valley, it is very close to the real flower I have growing here.keep in mind that real oil of this flower cannot be extracted, so it is doctrined to get something close to it. I find this to be very Aquatic, floral, ozonic, ephemeral and definitely Ethereal, (no fruity bang nor spicy nor sharp citrus notes. - I`m so glad there are no nose stinging citruses in this one nor those terrible fruity sweet notes !) This is affordable eau de toilette, so I did not expect it to have outstanding longevity nor sillage in the first place - on me it lasts about 2-3 hours max and sits very close to the skin, which is just fine for the price and if it is to be used as an everyday fragrance. It dries down softly woodsy-floral - perfect for my personal preference. Love this one for several reasons. main is : I REALLY dislike citruses and sweet fruits with white florals - I dislike both fruity-bang and citruses in perfumes in general, and I also dislike heavy, oriental, spicy, sharp, and sweet notes. I hate mixes of those too, and I hate anything oriental, sweet, or heavy. To be honest, sweet fruits, spices and citruses can totally ruin otherwise nice floral blend for me, and they are, unfortunately, often combined with white florals and esp. lily of the valley. ( for example, Lily of the valley eau de toilette, from Yves Rocher has lovely Lily of the Valley note, but those citrus notes in that one totally destroy the mysterious allure of this magical flower and give it such a sharp and sour tone. In Elvie, thankfully, I don`t smell ANY citrus notes, and I`m so thrilled by this fact that it has become a regular re-purchase for me.(I`m quite picky about what categories and notes I really like, so I have to mention that too). I already finished several bottles and I obviously really it. It lasts longer when I layer it over my diy lily oil perfume - this is something I often do, layer spritz-like bought perfumes over my diy lily oil-perfume, as Lily is one of my favourite and signature notes, so I also search for perfumes that can be used along with it. Elvie blends lovely when layered with clean lily, rose, jasmine and even ylang ylang (or simple white floral ones). I also love the glass phial, with recognizable pebbles-design and gem.like topper, it is very story-telling and unique and packaging (box) is also very fairy-like, especially new (2025.) one which has this whole artistic fantasy narrative to it, the whole box is painted, and now, elvie also has a fairy-like logo on the top of the box. I find this one to be another ephemeral, ethereal and floating in the ether - type of fragrance, and I really adore it. To be honest, unexpectedly, when layered the way I like it - it has become one of my favourite affordable re-purchases for the last several years, especially for summer months. Not long lasting, but such a beautiful ethereal gem, and extremely affordable when on sale.

when i bought it i just though it's a clean fresh scent , i know it's very feminine too , but i used it for the first time when i was leaving for a trip at evening , and God this smells so expensive tender sexy at night!i recommend it for a date or something , not just sunny hot mornings, violet and musk were too dominant then , so try this at morning to work or school and it well fit in , and try it at night to explore another unexpected whole new feminine level of it at NIGHT! ps. take the bottle with you any where cuz it's weak and never last :( ps. the real bottle is so cute and it has a very good quality , you will love looking at it every time , it's photo isn't okay here.

A composition that truly enchanted me. It had a difficult task, as I have an ambivalent relationship with lily of the valley: I adore the scent of the flower itself, yet in perfumery it often feels overwhelming. Elvie, however, interprets it beautifully. These are delicate floral perfumes with very good longevity and a sillage that leans toward the more noticeable side of moderate. The overall impression is deeply feminine, romantic, and idyllic—a fragrance of the ideal housewife, creating a warm and loving home.

This scent is pure as the water of a mountain spring. It suits the bottle so perfectly. I don't detect citruses, just delicate white flowers and a little mandarin and watermelon. It's not sweet as the usual floral fruity fragrances, in fact I would classify it as floral aquatic. It's pleasantly cooling in the warm days and I can perceive the scent for 4-5 hours. I think the uniqueness of this fragrance is in its rain-like purity.

I have been considering getting this for some time and I got it yesterday. What a beautiful, beautiful scent 🥰. I am usually not into lily of the valley, but the way it smells in this perfume, it is beyond lovely. Elvie has instantly become one of my favourite scents. Fresh, ethereal, extra super clean, slightly sweet, a scent which I think a forest fairy would wear. Absolutely lovely.

i have it with the matching body cream and the body spray ..light fragrance for special times . suitable as home intimate scent , i luve it .. very fresh tender feminine and attractive , give a creamy floral top and base note , got many complements on that one from men and women :) its a fragrance to say HEY I'AM SO FEMININE AND INNOCENT ;)

First I had the shower gel, which I really liked (4-5 years ago), but recently I decided to buy the perfume too. Is soo lovely and fresh, it turns my summer days into an experience. The longevity is between 2-4 hours, so I reapply. I have the 30 ml travel sized bottle, already used half of it, and definitely gonna re-buy it.

Elvie is like a fairytell that elves sing to the river when they let loose their flowers at sunrise. It is such ethereal, tender, inspiring and joyful scent. It always brings memories to me. Good memories. It is the personification of youth. Of joy and happiness. Of purity. The bottle is a little turquoise.

You know that i spent mant years searching for perfume that suits my personality and my body,yet i have found this gem It was truly amazing and admiring it all the time+ i got the compliment when i wear it as it has unique smell Truly amazing

Fresh, light, soft and clean floral. Make me feel light and relax like spring. Just love it, the bottle looks very cute too.

Personally, I tested this for the musk only. I love musk and white musk too. I was not disappointed. Full on white musk. Yes, lily of the valley is indeed dominant, but so is white musk. Basically anyone who loves clean, detergent-like scents, "just got the sheets out of the dryer cleanliness", will love Elvie too. Has some sugary accords in the opening, but they dissipate quite fast, so don't worry about anything sweet. The weird thing is that I do detect a dryness and an "oily" facet at the same time. How is that possible? It is an interesting and inoffensive combination, which I like. Like some sort of dirt in the overall scent, which I know that is contradictive with my previous statements, but truly: it's a super clean floral scent with some 10% of dirt in it. I like it a lot, just don't crave for it yet

Elvie is a light spring-summer perfume, very ethereal, soft and transparent. With a lot of musk, white flowers but in an easy version, lily of the valley stands out, there is also a bit of freesia. There is also some citrus, some fruitiness, more so. Everything smells like a basket of various flowers with a few fruits lost in it, a light spring breeze is blowing. The overall atmosphere is a bit creamy and soapy, nice. Elvie is unfortunately a delicate and fleeting composition, longevity is about 2-3 hours. I have known this perfume for over a dozen years and it seems to me that it used to be more durable. 6/10

Freesia and lily-of-the-valley are notes in my signature scent, Dior Addict eau Fraiche, and Elvie has them also. This could have been a safe blind buy for me but I have a tester. This is not as crisp and fresh as Addict eau Fraiche, Elvie has a strong white musk note which makes Elvie more.. ethereal. I love the fresh opening with many nuances. This is not one-two note fragrance, and it's not linear at all. Very much my kind of scent, much better than the Firefly version.

This was one of the first Oriflame perfumes that I bought when I joined them as a consultant. It's fresh and breezy and great for hot weather. I've just heard that Oriflame's boffins have reformulated Elvie so that it lasts on the skin for longer. (Seen in Oriflame Consultant literature late July 2015) It sounds like their boffins have been looking at the comments of Fragrantica's members. I'm treating myself to a bottle out of curiosity!

I like this scent, I smell mainly lily of the valley. It has a very white feeling to it but it just doesn't stay for more than half an hour. I am disappointed that this clean and airy beauty does not have either projection or longevity... On the positive side, it is very affordable so if you do not mind spraying more often throughout the day, Elvie will refresh your senses with its gentle presence.

I don't think this is feminine or elegant, I found it actually unisex. It's simple, sporty, fresh with just a sweet touch, floral, clean, aquatic, green also...I don't love it, but I think it's ok for everyday use, especially if you are a sporty person. It's also shortlasting and stays close to the skin, it will not offend anyone around you.

My most recent happy blind buy. There's something a little bit vintage about it. Very pretty, slightly sweet fragrance with white flowers. Lily of the valley plays the main role in this composition. It is clean and fresh and watermelon note gives it some sort of unexpected twist. Perfect for spring.

Elvie is an innocent young woman in a crisp white cotton dress walking by the sea while the air blows through her hair. Elvie is crisp, clean, and gentle. Reminds me of Bath & Body Works Sea Island Cotton. Very nice choice when you wish for a light, fresh, and clean fragrance!

Feels like sitting in the middle of the forrest. First after spaying it on my skin I smell citrus/watery/clean notes. After it settles a little bit, it smells like wood and amber mixed with white flowers. GREETINGS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC! :)

I actually quite like this. It's clean, fresh and feminine. Reminds me a bit of fresh linen. It's not boring, it's not exciting. It's just a really nice inoffensive day to day scent.

It smells clean and fresh. Is not an expressive fragrance. It's just polite with a touch of citrics. In my view it's femenine. Great for hot climate, hot spring & summer.

Lily of the valley and musky tones are very prevalent. A very comforting and calming sweet/ozonic smell on the skin, great longevity, for this price you cannot go wrong.

A light, fresh white floral-citrusy scent. Nice, but quite artificial. No sillage, lasts about 3 hours. In the mood of Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau by Dior.

I like the juicy freshness of this perfume. It is clean and calming so I like wearing it at bed time, too. It is a cheap gem.

Today I sprayed Michael Kors Wonderust Eau Fresh on my wrist and the dry down reminds me a lot of Elvie.

I love the smell of the lily of the valley in it.

I chose this as my frist fragrance when I joined Oriflame years ago. I was so excited. Wanted something light and fresh and liked the look of the bottle. Sadly, my husband complained that it smelt cheap and very alcoholic. I've since (years after because I'm that kind of crazy woman!) confronted him about this because my guitar has palisander aka. rosewood sides and bottom and he doesn't complain about that though the palisander fragrance is very strong if you get close to my guitar. Husband: "well, that's fine with your guitar and furniture, not on you, sorry". Yeah, I'm sorry too. Maybe it's also the sandalwood note he doesn't think is very feminine. My husband doesn't pick my clothes, and gets no say in how much make-up I wear but I'm oddly sensitive to his preferences for what fragrance types I wear.

I would say it's another failed blind buy for me, because of the discount. The first time I sprayed it on my wrist to test it, it has such sharp scent that tickled my nose, yet it smelled fresh soon afterward, but the dry down was somehow powdery. Definitely not my type of perfume because I like floral scent such as divine or tenderly if talking about oriflame.

this isn't giving forest fairy, the bottle does but the juice, plain soap water. Nothing special about this I couldn't wear it outside, it's perfect for anyone who is searching for a clean girl scent, but wouldn't recommend... lasts like a fart in the air.

Had this a few years back. I hate it. Yes it's light and perfect for daytime wear but there's something in the note that headache-inducing and gave me nausea. Can't wear it without want to throw up. Ended up give it away.

Some very nice notes here, waited for light & green scent and got it. Unfortunately it irritates my nose and it does not last at all. It is pity, this is nice try. What went wrong?

The only notes i smelled were citrus, lemon and lily of the valley. the mix of lemon and the lily of the valley gave me a strong bitter scent that i couldn't bear.

Oh dear... ohhh dear... What a delight. What a BEAUTIFUL fragrance. This is top notch. I love the mix between florals & green notes, maybe that's why i am so excited. When i first sprayed it, i moaned for real! It gives an eden garden vibe, like those victorian royal gardens in the morning, after rain... Or maybe a discreet house garden by the sea. It smells like lily-of-the-valley petals torn by hand and resting on my skin with a little hint of melon. And i detect the freesia as well. Simple, clean, yet poetic. Paradise... I see it suitable for innocent and feminine ladies.

This perfume will always remind me of my first “completely realized” love of perfumes. At that time – it was a matter of circumstances – it was love of first sniff; later on, along with the experience, I discovered other smells surpassing this one in so many ways, however at that time I was unable to see the defaults of this smell but only the beauty in it. Fresh musk, something chemical in it, but still a unique smell that I will love somehow even after I stop using it completely (now I wear it only from time to time, mostly for the memory’s sake :-) ).

Very clean and fresh scent of sharp, pure-smelling lily of the valley and starched musk. Perfectly inoffensive but oddly appealing too. The fragrance has been reformulated recently to prolong its lasting power, a successful move in my opinion, as many of the eaux de toilette in the Oriflame series seem to have less concentrated juice. The bottle is quite appealing in pale celadon frosted glass, suiting the concept to a T.

This perfume is one of my all times favourite. I had 3 bottles of it already and still love it. Fresh, clean, perfect flowery print on skin, even sparkly in his top notes. It's sensuous, vivid and never borring. The only downside is it doesn't last much.I have the perfumed body cream also to enrich it's silage, maybe 3-4 hours. The 30 ml version lasts longer by itself, I don't know why. Very cute bottle.

It is totally forgettable. The lily of the valley note is the strongest one in the voices of the perfume but it is hard and almost synthetic. I bought a bottle recently based on what I remembered it smelled 15 years ago, and I remember it being ethereal and floral. The bottle I have now(and it is a beautiful work of art) is the uglier, spinster cousin of what I remember. I sadly give it away.
