Orlov

Wow, I didn't know what to expect from this one. I had read a few less than enthusiastic reviews from a few blogs. However, this is a winner for me. It's got a powdery but tropical softness going on I didn't anticipate. It's not a heavy fragrance and the tuberose is my favorite kind, fleshy, velvety and fruity, not camphorus in the least, no blue cheese or urinal cake either. The orange blossom and citrus enhance the creamy tuberose, give it a little lift, but don't overwhelm it as they do in other compositions. This is so pretty and easy to wear. I can't think of another tuberose scent exactly like it. Mmmm, I almost bought this blind for my birthday, I should have. Edited to add: I take it back. This reminds me slightly of Datura Noir, but it better! I love Datura Noir so that's saying a lot!

I'm a man and i dare to say this is unisex. I love ouds and woody scents but this is lovely fragrance that i can't resist for my floral collection. Photo-realistic floral esp. the tuberose and jasmine. Bergamot and floral play the main role on the top to heart note before join the musk and vanilla till the end. Very beautiful blended and top quality creation from a highly reputed perfumer who has created the FM portrait of a lady. very hard to get this and i have pre ordered. p/s: reminds me to Hong Kong Grand Harbour Hotel lobby which i used to stay during business trip - they are smelling the same.

I just got my sample and wow! I will be getting a full bottle. So classy and expensive smelling. All the notes are so well blended but I do get the best tuberose with delicate orange blossom. Just the hint of citrus. Ooh gets better as it goes on. Reminds me of other classics but unique and updated. To me it is like getting a really good vintage but fresh and new. Try it you will like it.

Beautiful, Sexy, yet subtle. Pretty. I really love this fragrance. ABSOLUTELY. What a surprise. Orange blossom, tuberose, with a light slightly 'nilla musc. Perfect for me. P.S. The Voters pyramid. Is SPOT ON! Addition: I couldn't quite put my finger on why or what Orlov in Paris REMINDS me of. Until today when I put on Datura Nóir. It is very reminiscent of it. Lovely.

This has been drastically reformulated (company prefers to call it “reimagined”) into a soapy, generic, sharp, shampoo type scent. Don’t even bother.

Delicate, light and pleasant summer breeze. Not indispensable.

Orlov Paris is one of the most luxurious brand I ever came across. The fragrances is so wonderful and well blended. The concept is very luxurious too. They are high end frangrance and expensive but it's worth every penny invested. If you wanna quality and want to be excluvise you must invest some more money. The bottle and the box are so minimalistic and lovely. Cross of Asia is a sweet floral very femine but very elegant. The longivity is good and the projection is moderate to good. Overall it's a good fragrance. Worth check it out this house.

Neroli is what I smell here. An abundance of citric blossom essence on opening. The beautiful fresh introduction is enhanced by the feminine warmth of tuberose -- soft, plush, almost like lipstick and a hint of coconut. The base of clean, almost milky musk, woody vanilla and bergamot remains enticing throughout the fragrance. If you like clean, creamy tuberose with a touch of feminine romanticism, this is it, right here, in a striking white bottle of Orlov.

Bought four 8 mls samples from Scentbox to try , based on my white flowers obsession . All four were a disappointment and this was one of them . . I agree with some reviewers it has a sharp , bug spray smell which actually doesn’t go away on my skin possibly the bergamot and the orange blossom . It’s very soft and sweet but I can’t smell the white flowers through the sharpness . I do give it points for its longevity . I tried scrubbing it off my wrist and I can still smell it . It has a generic type of composition and doesn't speak quality to me .

Bought a bottle about a month ago. This does not remind me of Datura Noir, and it is sharper than VC&A California Reverie. It is also not as fruity sweet as My Way. I haven’t smelled the other fragrances this is compared to. I think the bergamot used in this is responsible for its sharpness. It is not a fruity sharp, and unfortunately despite about a dozen wears I still get a bug spray, slight citronella effect going on that has lasted into the dry down of the fragrance, albeit subtlety. Still undecided if I’ll keep it, but the white florals in it are nice, maybe on a different skin it would be a keeper. I get no tropical nuances from it and cannot pick out which white florals I am actually smelling. It smells maybe closest to gardenia which isn’t even part of the pyramid.

I still cannot decide between the EDP and Elixir. I like them both. However, the EDP is lighter and crispier and thus, more suitable for all day round wear. In addition, tuberose in the Elixir is fruity at the beginning (and personally, I don't like it), but this fruitiness gradually wears off. What remains is a beautiful, soft yet penetrating and long lasting tuberose. So long lasting that it gets annoying. In view of this, I would probably opt for the EDP.

This is identical to Giorgio Armani’s My Way to me. Anyone else get this??
