Walk On The Wild Side

One of the best scents I have ever smelt -- and I bought it without testing first so a double hit. It is somewhat leathery for sure but for me this scent is green, despite its colour. I wouldn't say this is walking on the wild side: it is rather a beautiful walk in the green forest, having leathery notes added to it (not the birch tar kind of leather). But this is very personal perception so for others it can be something different. It reminds me very much Irish Leather and Between Two Trees, two very very good ones as well. These two are more similar to each other (having the same author) but Walk On The Wild Side goes a step beyond, adding the BR540 type of saffron. For me, this is primarily a green leather and saffron scent, sharing the position of my signature scent with Seminalis.

Got a sample bc i was curious to try this brand and this is very nice, i dont know if its a love for me yet, but i like it a lot! The first notes i can smell are the leather, spices and the bergamot, then the iris and the jasmine come through and it makes it so much nicer, sadly i dont get the caramel which it doesnt even gets mentioned on the sample notes but I think this is a very nice grown up and elegant fragrance, very unique for me (im used to sweet and florals). I Would use this extrictly at night, this feels to me like something you would pair with a night gown! Also this is a strong one, i sprayed the sample 2 on each arms, 3 on neck and 1 behind the neck and its giving so be careful with the full bottler sprayer lol.

Initially a strong leathery or smokey note that almost disappears in 1h. The drydown is just like Baccarat Rouge 540, but better 😍 Performance is outstanding. I could still feel it the next morning. Edit: Damn, the performance is really good! I used it a week ago and didn't wash before going to bed. I can still smell it on my pillow 😳

I really like this - especially for the price. I agree it shares some DNA BR 540 but I actually like it better. Maybe more aromatic? Need to try them side by side. But whatever totally under rated fragrance for the price. Highly recommend.

Please don't evoke the Velvet underground classic to try to sell me this perfume. I'll be the judge of what's wild thankyou very much indeed. I assume the 'wild' refers to a hefty glug of parched IBQ leather accord with sweet piercing cassis and musk. I quite like the fragrance (so why the negative tone??? I'm such a dick!) for the simple juxtaposition of sweet/fresh and smokey/oily/dirty/herbal. It's very 'synthetic' smelling and I rarely say that sentence because most people band it about as a derogatory term with overtones of 'natural is better' & not really understanding of what a synthetic material is....but anyway! You're in safe hands here, I mean Anti-nature, if that's something art is striving to replace the beauty of? not that everything should strive to emulate nature but you have to round out a fragrance so it doesn't smell like a collection of familiar, chemical beats. I'm not even saying this necessarily is that either, it's pleasant and wearable for me as I broadly dig the vibe or at least think it's okay, but I don't have a preference for it. So it did remind me of a Memo fragrance Irish/Italian/Swedish....what they on now? Mozambique leather? I have a fragrance I blind bought called Ambergris showers by Rasasi and it's like a clumsy, Montale version of this, but I still quite like it in a strange masochistic way. This is clearly more refined so, It's a like. I don't know if this review reads that way but I'm not saying this is bad. I think if you like Aventus (oddly enough) you will enjoy this fragrance.

Fruity with kisses and juicy lip gloss at the top, luxurious whiffs of ashtray and Tuscan leather smoke, and freshly cut secular cedar trunks that roll their way through jasmine and saffron. This is straight and sweet, syrupy, cheeky, with a fox tail that sways slowly with long strides. This attitude reminded me of Tom Ford's Black Violet in a younger, spicy fruitiness. With the passage of time a clean synthetic moss emerges, listened to, but which refreshes the smoky atmosphere. Amber, caramel, Benzoin¿ and vetyver dirty the finish making it even more ... decadent. Insatiable Sticky Lips.

Smoky and slightly sweet. Good projection.
