4. Montabaco Intensivo

Absolutely wonderful scent. It's true what people have said, that this is not necessarily "mindblowing" scent in the same way that perhaps an Areej le Dore or Bortnikoff is. There is nothing whatsoever challenging about Montabaco Intensivo. It is, however, a stunning, tranquil, serene, and very appealing fragrance with a ton of depth. In overall style I would say this reminds me of the transparent watercolor-esque masculines of the late 90s/early 2000s. I get shades of Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir/Extreme, Armani Mania, Carolina Herrera Chic, even a touch of Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme. Not saying that Montabaco Intensivo smells like ANY of those, but that's the kind of vibe it gets off, and I love it. It takes me to 2003 and fills me with a sense of calm. There is something so ebullient, so optimistic, and yet so relaxed about Montabaco Intensivo. It feels like it's from another time, another place. It's simple, but also rich and complex, with each wearing revealing something new. While the name might lead you to believe that this is a tobacco forward scent, it really isn't. There is definitely some green, leafy tobacco, but it's very well blended with tea, suede, "wood" (ISO-Super, Geza's calling card), florals, and aromatics. In fact no one ingredient in particular screams out "I'M HERE!". Everything is folded together seamlessly. In the air you might get more of the citrus and aromatics, while up close on skin you smell more suede, tobacco, and woods. It is simultaneously incredibly fresh and airy (and, surprisingly, remains that way throughout the long life of the scent) and warm. It stays mostly linear, but over time the suede really comes to the fore. By that stage, it starts to remind me of Armani's Eau de Cedre, but with a lighter, less oily suede. There is also nothing at all sweet about this scent. Nada. Zilch. The tonka bean in the base I think only serves to warm the scent, not to sweeten it. If you are like me and straight up tired of all these overly sweetened shisha or pipe tobacco scents, this is definitely something for you, even if the tobacco isn't necessarily the center of attention. This is a green, aromatic, fresh and airy tobacco, more along the lines of Aramis Havana, Monsillage Aviation Club, Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac, etc. Again, not saying it smells like those fragrances, because it doesn't (Montabaco is nowhere near as heavy or dense), but it also is about as far away from Red Tobacco and Herod as you can get. The mental image I get from the scent is pretty much on point with the inspiration. I imagine a Latin American tobacco farmer looking out on his fields. The snow-crowned Andes tower in the distance, but here in the foothills everything is verdant and green. A light rain falls as the farmer sits on the terrace, rolling a fresh cigarillo and sipping maté. While the scent is comforting and even somewhat familiar, there is also something exotic and adventurous here that reminds me of travel, the optimism of travel. I also get the feeling of being in a beautiful hotel in the tropical part of the world. It's morning, and you just woke up from some truly delicious sleep to the sound of trilling birds-of-paradise. Sun streams through your window. You open up the door onto the balcony and in rushes the sweet breath of the jungle, the mingled scents of green leaves, flowers, earth, dew. The world is waking up and anything is possible. You smile, dress in light, airy linens, and take your morning tea on the patio. Is it a true reflection of the destination it's trying to conjure up? Probably not. But it perfectly captures the idea, the image of traveling to a new place. And I love that. This fragrance smells to me like a time before it became blasé to be genuine. There is no "angle" here, it's not trying to be the "new" or the "next" anything. It holds itself with perfect calm, maturity, and purity, while still being fun. Performance, as has been noted by other reviewers, is monstrous. I think that anyone who doesn't think this lasts long is anosmic to ISO-Super. Two to three sprays are enough to last me all day, as in myself and others get whiffs of it all day. Four or five sprays would be headache inducing, so go easy on the trigger. Two to three sprays though? A lovely, airy trail will follow you around all day long. Which brings me to the price. This scent at retail is incredibly expensive, almost $300. I absolutely love it, but would I pay retail for it? No. Did I pay retail for it? No. I got it for $140 on Ebay and I think that is a much more appropriate price. You do get quite a bit of bang for your buck, but the original Montabaco is almost as strong and smells almost the same. If you can find one of the smaller bottles of the OG for cheap, that is absolutely an option, because to my nose there is very little difference except for increased performance. I also think that the Intensivo does smell a little "warmer", but not by much. Both the OG and Intensivo are masterpieces to my nose, so you really can't go wrong with either. Overall, this is just one of my happy scents. It puts me in such a good mood, but also calms me down and relaxes me. It gives me the courage to face the day knowing that life is good, you got this, and you smell amazing. What more do you want in a scent? Still, this is obviously not for everyone. My mom thought it smelled like burnt oranges. But on the other hand, my friend thought it smelled delicious and wanted me to give him the name of it. Your mileage may vary, so please, do sample before buying, especially given the price. Though it is in my mind a wonderful and mass appealing scent, some people react differently to ISO-Super than others. For me, though, this is just perfect. It's got signature scent written all over it. 9.5/10

Montabaco Intensivo is an absolute powerful banger of a scent, Ormonde Jayne and Geza hit a home run that is probably holding the brand to the top of the "obscure" niche brands to me, i know that Ormonde is known in europe, but very few people will find this one. isn't difficult to get why is the most sold, and is also the one that she personally choosen as the " one " scent she would choose. The easiest way to explain what it is has to start from the fact that in general Tabacco scents are usually heavy, deep and sort of hard to manage, usually the best Tobacco are going next to Vanilla or Leather as TF did, or they are next to Honey as Guerlain did in a very elegant way, but this is totally another level of Tobacco, because they managed to synthethize just the dry elegant part of the leaf, reaching some sort of Tea note, more than gluing the depth of the Tobacco, you find the airyness of a Tea leaf, infused with Cardamom and Sage, it doesn't go on the very spicy accords, but holds perfectly with both the tobacco and the tea, is interesting and is beautiful in the evolution of the scent. Is also true that in the very beginning there is this idea of mountain breeze wich i can't absolutely figure out how they did it, however is there and is crispy, imagine a foggy soft fresh breeze effect around this mix i just described, is light but is also precise and persistent, it has a powerful aurea that is translated in the sillage, it goes and comes on your skin and out of your skin, Later on the Iso super, leather and sandalwood slowly get their place going full elegance, this is a strong character scent, but isn't pretending anything, is simply kind and very pleasant. It also has ton of something that allow the scent to be attached for very long time on the skin, and radiates, is clear is chemical, but it works very well for some reason. You can smell this all day, no problem. Montabaco Intesivo is a well thought elegant man scent, that is created in a way that stands tall and high as a classy fragrance, we are talking Reflection Man level of refinement, is also designed in a way that you can wear it daily, is material for people that don't need to ask, they just sit there and people get to know them just by their charm and presence, if make sense, people are coming to you to talk, rather than the opposite, this is why would work perfectly for someone that is on a high ranking of a company, i know sounds strange, but this is the feeling i have from this work, it goes in that category of top tier works that are perfect for an interesting man that is well put and has his entire life under control, lets say that this ain't the manager of the hotel, this is the dude that owns 3 buildings and walk as if he don't have to show any of his money, rather is kind with anyone around him. Absolute delightful work, that sets the standards of classy man fragrances. If you are scared of Tobacco, or you never had a good experience with it, just try this beautiful and charming work. Now that they’ve finally added a page for the Intensivo I suppose I’ll share some thoughts on this magnificent creation. I’ve never smelled the original so I can’t compare the two but from what I’ve read they’re very similar, just this is more “intense” more bright and aldehydic, however the wearing experience isn’t very intense per say, it’s very clean, dry, calm and relaxing and just a pleasure to wear. I mean, they bottled mountain air here, and yes, it smells like mountain air on a warm, sunny summer afternoon. The opening you’re introduced to a very smooth, natural, warm and effervescent aroma, like freshly cleaned linen hung out to dry on a warm breezy day. It’s somewhat cloudy but beyond this cloud you can smell the piney juniper, sweet uncut mandarin, green cardamom, bergamot and an herbal clary sage. The tea is present, it’s fresh and soothing along with the ethereal heart of florals. Lots of hedione, a delicate rose, a lemony magnolia and the violet give it a traditional nuance of being fresh, somewhat powdery, and airy. The heart is perfectly blended in to the composition and a perfect transition into the base. The base is loads of Iso-E along with fresh green tobacco, fields of it... not ashy type or pipe tobacco but more characteristic of tea, almost has the feel of a cigar humidor. With a supple suede/leathery ambergris which appears to be natural since I’m not picking up on any ambroxin, the sandalwood is very smooth and works wonderfully with a very subtle tonka, just enough to provide an essence, as opposed to the more common tonka heavy releases. I’m also not picking up on much of the oak moss but maybe others will more than I do, if it is there it’s very well blended in with the rest of the herbs. Every note is tastefully placed, blended and balanced masterfully. This comes off classy and luxurious, yet casual. It’s high quality and unique without wagering any mass appeal or versatility. Performance is outstanding, it’s light and airy, almost like a second skin, projecting a very pleasant, attractive, aromatic scent cloud around the wearer for hours, detectable most of the day. This can be worn any season and could easily be a wonderful signature scent for a man or woman, considering the soft, cloudy aromatic nature of this, it’s perfectly unisex. 9/10

Montobaco Intensivo garnered the strongest reaction to a fragrance I’ve EVER had while I was at a 7/11. I was standing in line behind a woman who was checking out, and another employee opened the register next to where she was being rung up. I walked up to the counter and about 3 seconds pass before the customer lady says to her cashier, “wow something smells good.”, and the cashier responds, “something DOES smell good!”. Then the customer lady turns to me, takes a deep breath, and says, “wow you smell so fu****g good omg! What are you wearing?!”. I thanked them both for the compliment and told them what I was wearing, and in between the questions they had about the fragrance (what is it, how much, who makes it, etc.) they both just kept repeating difference iterations of “you smell amazing!”. I ended up pulling up a picture on my phone to show the lady the bottle, and then thanked them both again, and as I walked toward the back entrance/exit of the store they were still conversing back and forth about how good I smelled. Then the other cashier who rang me up, and was quiet the entire time shouts across the store before I walked out, “YOU REALLY DO SMELL SUUUUUPER GOOD DUDE!”. It was the compliment hat trick. The trifecta! It has been my new favorite fragrance since I first purchased it as a blind buy a few months ago, but I cannot overstate how absolutely phenomenal Ormonde Jayne’s Montobaco Intensivo is. I will admit that when I first sprayed it on, and smelled it, I was disappointed, and thought, “I don’t think this is for me”, but within 10-15 minutes I was absolutely in love with this fragrance lol. I ended up buying a partial from someone as a backup bottle because this juice is incredible. I told a coworker about my 7/11 experience, and he had already purchased a decant of this fragrance from me; he wore it the next day, and texted me that a nurse complimented him on the fragrance as well. Ormonde Jayne knocked it out of the park! A tobacco fragrance that is light, airy, fresh, uplifting, and has some “green” facets that help round it out. Montobaco Intensivo smells great, lasts forever on me, is versatile, and obviously the compliment factor is there.

I like tobacco fragrances, but I tend to think of them as being quite heavy and much more suited to cold weather. When I think of tobacco, I picture an evening at the club, relaxing by the fireside, Armagnac in hand. All very civilised. With Montabaco Intensivo, however, the imagery is different. It opens with a huge blast of unburnt, moist tobacco, but not smooth pipe tobacco or that of cigarettes; this is crisp and fresh. The tobacco note is sharp, leathery, and peppery to me. I imagine that this ozonic freshness comes from the hedione; think Alpine forests, with tobacco infused crystal-clear air whistling down from snow capped peaks. Although the tobacco note dominates the opening, it gradually develops a strong woody accord, and alongside that I get fleeting glimpses of some of the other stated notes. Tea, cardamom, and suede all make an appearance. None of these notes dominate, but they add texture and complexity to the tobacco accord. As the dry-down continues, the scent mellows and sweetens into something akin to antique wooden furniture. It's the ozonic quality of the fragrance that sets this tobacco fragrance apart from others I've tried and makes it wearable in spring and summer. It really is quite beautiful. Bizarrely, there is something in the composition that actually makes my mouth water; I think it is the tea note lurking in the background. UPDATE 15.7.2026: I'm not sure if this fragrance profile has slightly changed since I purchased it or whether my perception of it has developed, but the more I live with it the more I experience tea over tobacco. And that tea note is exceptional. Tested: 1ml decant Seasons / occasions: Unlike other tobacco-forward fragrances I have tried, this works on cooler summer days and evenings. I'd wear it when going out with friends, whether to a good restaurant or on a countryside walk. Key thoughts: Rare, clean, fresh tobacco note. Overall rating: 9.5/10 Buy full bottle: Yes

I am the kind of individual who purchases perfume because of the lasting memories or stories associated with it. This masterpiece comes with the same thing. I am a student from Vietnam studying abroad in the USA for the first time as an international student. I chose to purchase this perfume to commemorate this moment, as it is meant to highlight the beauty of Latin America through its name and historical background. This purchase was a blindbuy (don't be like me, it costs over 230 dollars). I was very concerned that this blind buy would be a disappointment until I finally smelled it. It is an incredibly outstanding work from Ormonde Jayne. The fragrance combines the alluring tobacco leaf with the crisp greenness of air and tea in a beautiful blend. You can experience all its qualities with just one whiff. The blending was done in a way that allowed the tobacco to shine without being overpowered by other ingredients, coming together to produce a memorable fragrance. This captured attention and served as a highlight. I spray this once in the afternoon and then received around 10 compliments from my friends and people in the gym. I was thrilled to discover that it wasn't just me, but others also recognized and admired this beautiful creation. And the excellent performance of this scent is remarkable. Like I mentioned earlier, the fragrance from one spray lingered on my wrist for approximately 7 hours, even after exercising and taking a shower, the scent continued to waft around my hand. This likely has a longevity of over 10 hours with excellent projection. Given everything, I genuinely think that this fragrance, along with other scents from Ormonde Jayne, is stunning and justifies their prices. It includes wonderful narratives and packaging as well. Because of my experience with this fragrance, I have no regret buying it and I hope the same thing will happen to you.

To put it succinctly, this fragrance is everything that was promised. This is probably the highest-quality fragrance I've owned so far in my journey. In my opinion, the tobacco and cardamom are sharp and pronounced, but in no way overwhelming. The mountain air and tea notes are executed so beautifully as well. This fragrance is fresh, but in such a unique way that I cannot fully describe. All of the notes are blended more seamlessly than anything I've ever smelled. It's opulent, mature, and very alluring. As expensive as this fragrance makes me feel when I wear it, I still find it warm and inviting. This is the fragrance of a man who knows he has nothing to prove. Many of the other fresh fragrances I've tried have a bit of a "young man/young adult" feeling to them, but Montabaco Intensivo is in its own realm. I cannot imagine someone below, say, 27 wearing this fragrance unless it was for some very special occasion. This fragrance is versatile, and you can wear it most times of the year. On a very hot summer day, you may want to opt for something else, though. If you enjoy smelling sweet or bright and citrusy, this may rub you the wrong way. To me, this is a breath of fresh mountain air. I deeply enjoyed the presentation of the bottle, befitting a fragrance of this quality and price point. It was a challenge to find, but if you stick with it, you can find it for a good price. Give this a try if you can—there's nothing quite like it. The presentation and packaging were excellent, and the atomizer prevents over-spraying. The opening is woody, slightly spicy, with a noticeable tobacco note that is rich, slightly dark, and ashy. It reminds me of parts of Le Labo's The Noir 29, Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud, Tobacco Vanille, and Oud Wood. Overall the opening gives off mature, woody/oud vibes and it lasts for 10-15 minutes. I don't necessarily "love" this part, a not-my-type thing, as it also doesn't suit my personality - factors that almost stopped me on buying a bottle ... good thing I waited! what's coming up next, is what made me obsessed with this. On dry down, the woodiness and ashy tobacco subsides and a fresh, slightly green, and pine-y, mountain air note surprisingly introduces itself. This is interesting since, it's kind of like reversed in terms of top-mid notes. Anyway, the blend of woods, tobacco, greens, pine and mountain air smells so fucking good! They are so well blended, the woods and tobacco as base gives it weight for it to have a presence while the fresh mountain air gives it that lift, that enables it to radiate off the skin while not being cloying. It smells divine in the air! It's like a rich, serious, understated CEO ready to business-ify the world lol xD Kidding aside, the sillage is really my favorite part, it's just ... to die for! I'm exaggerating I know, but I just love it so much! I love fragrances that radiates, and smells better when blended on the skin. MFK GFS is also one, and I have similar experience with this. The sillage is a subtle-but-always-there, handsome, slightly musky, woody, rich-guy scent. A bit reminiscent of Creed's Silver Mountain Water.

The Airiest, Most "Wealthy" Take on Tobacco Tobacco fragrances are usually known for being heavy, sweet, vanilla-laden, or having that suffocating, dense cigar vibe. Montabaco Intensivo, however, completely shatters this stereotype. It is a fresh interpretation of tobacco, as if it has been washed in crisp mountain air. The opening that greets me on the first spray is incredibly fresh—an aromatic, slightly green blend heavily influenced by juniper, cardamom, and crisp tea notes. The real magic happens as it dries down on the skin: a luxurious suede feel emerges alongside a thin, dry, and elegant tobacco leaf. Rather than a heavy smoke, it creates a clean, "expensive" aura that drifts around you like a breeze. An Unbiased Take: If you are hunting for a sweet, syrupy, or dark winter tobacco, Montabaco Intensivo might come off as too clean and bright for you. But if you are looking for an elite signature scent that works in all four seasons, fitting just as perfectly with a tailored suit as it does with a crisp white t-shirt, this is spot on. Performance: It truly lives up to the "Intensivo" name. Longevity and projection are highly impressive, but it never achieves this by being loud or exhausting to those around you. Montabaco Intensivo is the perfect example of what I expect from niche perfumery. I don't care the cost, if the fragrance is worthy. Most are not. This one was a love at first sniff/wear.... It is voluminous without being heavy. It has an ethereal nature about it that just lifts my mood up. This stuff has a presence in the air that is just incredible. Performance is stellar. Easily 8-10 hours, projecting modestly for four or so. It doesn't bludgeon you over the head with oud, heavy tobacco, vanilla, fruity schmooty gobbledygook. As a middle aged guy, married with kids, in a fast paced profession, this is the literal 'bullseye' for a signature scent, if I was to ever have (just) one.... I'm not even looking at 'cons' here, since I have yet to find any. It just works. It is literally perfect to me. I have also worn Ormonde Man EDP (which I understand is discontinued in favor of the Parfum version), and Montabaco Verano, which I also enjoyed but found the performance a bit less persuasive. It isn't 'hyped', thankfully. It is spoken about well, however, when it is reviewed. It isn't something 'generic' like Imagination, or overhyped, like Aventus. This is much more mature and classy. So far, I am a fan of this house, and am eager to explore more of what Ormonde Jayne has to offer.

I have to admit that I am a little bit torn about this one. Blind bought this based on good reviews and the notes breakdown. On one hand it is really good. Smells to me like a classic cologne with a modern twist. The notes nicely blend with each other, you can tell it's high quality and you get that fresh feeling. It is masculine leaning for me but my wife says it's 100% unisex and she will use it too. The dry down somehow reminds me of Xerjoff Renaissance, maybe it's the rose? I would say it's good for whole year round but I will use it in spring and summer. BUT: On the other hand, the price is ridiculous for what it offers, over 450 euros for 120ml is a robbery. If you smell it on your skin after spraying, there is an accord that smells a bit like an ashtray. It is not strong and disappears in in a few minutes but still not so great for that price. Some people might also say it smells like room scent after you spray it. The projection and longevity are average but I would like it to last and project more at this price. I got mine at a 40% sale so it doesn't hurt that much but I strongly suggest getting a sample first if you can't find it for a good price. Don't get me wrong, it's really good but I don't think it's worth the price tag.

“Someone must be burning trash.” This was my fiancé’s response when she heard me sniffing lol! While I love this fragrance and this may have been a coincidence, that’s kinda hilarious. This fragrance has a very ashy opening and the more you spray, the more intense the ashy tobacco will be. I don’t like when it’s so intense, but when the fragrance dries down, this smells like peace in a tea house. It’s a mix of citrus and woods with the tea note that make it very soothing to me. My friend who I work with said that this smells very peaceful and calming. I like to think this is a fragrance that best represents my nature. In terms of performance this is great! It goes very far, pushes for hours and lasts all day especially on clothes. I’m debating if I should make this my signature. I’ll definitely be wearing this all summer. Without the ash, this reminds me of Terra Nova which Ashton from Gents Scents released circa Fall 2022.

‘Montabaco Intensivo’ is one of the most original tobacco fragrances I’ve ever smelled. Instead of going dark, smoky, ashy, or wintry, it makes tobacco feel clean, bright, airy, and uplifting. On my skin, it opens with a refined freshness that blends beautifully with orange, tea, suede, and fresh tobacco leaf, creating something that feels elegant, polished, and quietly luxurious. What really impresses me is how it behaves in the air: it seems to come and go in waves, becoming more noticeable with movement, and it feels much more alive on skin than on paper. It never turns heavy or cloying on me, and the more I wear it, the more I appreciate its smoothness, depth, and subtle complexity. A genuinely beautiful niche composition, and one of the few tobacco fragrances I can imagine wearing happily in Spring and Summer. Although, this could easily be worn during any time of the year — day or night. 9/10. 👏🏼🍂🍊⛰️✨

Honest to god I think Montabaco Intensivo is the greatest fragrance I’ve ever smelt. It’s a naturally very introspective fragrance and creates a very vivid atmosphere. The vibe of this fragrance is an overcast day in a foggy forest as you are stood on a cliff as the temperature is around 55-60 degrees with a strong wind. It’s a very complex fragrance in how so many notes are noticeable and how they together create such a smooth blend. That green tea, mountain air, juniper, tobacco, and suede blend to be a cooling introspective masterpiece of a fragrance. One last thought is my bottle became significantly smoother blended after maceration, think a month or two. It’s my favorite fragrance of all time and I feel fits my vibe perfectly so of course I’m biased but Montabaco Intensivo is worth every penny I truly believe that.

It's definitely in a different category. Most perfumes are described as summer, winter, nighttime, everyday, office, party, date, etc. How can a perfume have all these qualities, right? Intensivo is just that. I'd heard great reviews, and it had entered my radar. When I first tried it, I smelled it on my arm. I thought, "Yes, I liked it, but is this the perfume that's being praised so much?" I decided to wear it the next day. Oh my God, it literally grew on me, I was completely captivated. First of all, it is fresh yet deep, different yet has a great general appeal. It is a signature scent, a masterpiece. For me, there will never be a signature scent that can surpass Intensivo. It is beyond wonderful. I try to use it occasionally to not lose this feeling, and I fall in love with it every time I use it.

Montabaco Intensivo is a VERY unique scent. It's the only fresh tobacco scent that executes that balance flawlessly. The notes on Fragrantica don't really do it justice. Yes, it's fresh but it's also somehow deep and there's a touch of darkness from the tobacco leaf that really sets it apart. This fragrance is 1 of 1. Master perfumery. It's just so versatile, you can wear this in any season and day or night. Signature scent worthy absolutely. And for me, wearing a fragrance profile that you're not smelling anywhere else is extremely important and with Montabaco Intensivo, you get that. Nothing smells like this and yet I'd still consider it mass appealing. It's just a sexy unique scent that is unlike anything else. This is one of those scents that I will always have a bottle of. 10/10.

Despite mentions of floral notes, they are barely detectable. —————————— Out of thousands of scents, only a few truly stand out—this is one of them. A masterpiece in perfumery, it makes you smell unique and refined. —————————— Underrated and unique, this is a must-have for those who appreciate quality and exclusivity.

I just released a review of this on my Youtube "Rotten Rebel". The opening is divine with a beautiful orange absolute, a sparkling bergamot and cardamom. As it heads into the mids a bouquet of florals come in with magnolia, hedione, rose and violet and it just gets even better. When it finally dries down I get all the layers of the tobacco and it's a truly nuanced, multilayered and luxurious tobacco. The tobacco is joined by a dose of Iso e, suede, sandalwood, tonka and ambergris and the whole composition is a warm, yet light and airy scent with a focus on that complex tobacco with a smooth leather. This is one of the most EPIC tobacco perfumes ever created and I LOVE IT. It's not cheap, but it is luxurious, incredibly well-made, and truly stunning.

You know when you don't wear a particular fragrance for a while and once you come back to it you're captivated in its allure all over again...Its 70 degrees this morning, a light rain shower just concluded, and 4 sprays is all I needed to set the day off right. Idk how they pulled off that Mountain air cooling effect but it is a real thing, a real place and a real feeling. This deserves all the praise it gets. The wispy tobacco... this is class. Its woody, floral and leans masculine although the right woman could wear it as well not just the fruitier flankers. When they say boss, ceo vibes this is the epitome. Not to mention this will do numbers on a night out in like a jazz lounge, speakeasy... what are we talkin about?! Magical Montabaco.

Intensivo opens with an airy, citrus note. You do get Juniper in the opening, but it is fairly toned down. I get non-descript floral notes in the mid along with tea. For the base, I get iso E super, suede, tobacco, and an ambergris mix. This combo gives the tobacco a “fresh” appeal. Intensivo is masculine and mature in a refine way. Longevity and projection are not an issue here. Great four season fragrance. This is a great office work scent and can be dressed up at night. One con not mentioned here is that it can be cloying if over sprayed. Therefore, although it has great versatility, I don’t wear this as a signature scent. However, overall, OMJ Intensivo is at the pinnacle of modern perfumery.

This fragrance is masterfully blended and super smooth, smelling it gives you the impression of a light summer breeze. It has an extremely light and airy citrus (orange/bergamot) opening. As it dries down, the Iso E Super and a dry, semi-sweet tobacco leaf become apparent. Very soft suede finally emerges after the first 20 mins or so. The entire composition wears like a skin scent, it is in NO way an extremely rich or dark scent. Conversely, this is best suited for the warmer months and casual occasions where you simply want to smell nice. It leans slightly masculine; my only criticism is that I wish this would project a bit more as the scent is absolutely fantastic! 9.5/10

You absolutely cannot judge this from the opening, which reminded me of a time I accidentally burned a piece of driftwood that was saturated with creosote. If you haven't experienced that, brace yourself - but ride it out. After 10 minutes on my skin, it stars to develop into an airy, somehow fresh Tobacco with antique leather notes. This DNA is pretty unique and very interesting. It's also versatile... easy grab for running errands, sophisticated and mysterious enough for date night. It's got moderate longevity and projection. I went through a decant pretty quickly and I want more!

The evil twin of The Ghost In The Shell that wears leather trench, dark eyeshadow and smokes. The scent itself is mesmerizing, wore it on my vacation last week and got many compliments, it performs brutally good in seaside windy places and and it's intoxicating during night. TGITS is more "milky" and slightly more clean, I like the dry down better than Montabaco. Since I own the TGITS and it's already my signature scent I won't be purchasing a full bottle of this one, it's redundant and not worth it when the scent is almost 90% same.

An excellent office scent that won't make you smell like the generic or frequently used fragrances everyone else wears. The tobacco note is reminiscent of fresh green tobacco leaves, which is outstanding. The performance is amazing for an office scent that leans more towards the fresher side. This could easily become someone's signature scent, and I believe it has the kind of appeal that one wouldn't tire of easily. Note: I don't think this would smell great on a woman. Update: This is a 10/10 and a safe buy.

Edit to my ‘24 comment. After weird experience while testing MTi,strange sharpness which I didn’t like at the beginning but after few days of testing I started to like it more and more. By the end of 10ml decant I was hooked. Very soon I got my self a 88ml bottle. Today I have about 15ml left in it. It is that good fragrance for my taste. Atomizer is awesome. It is time for a new bottle. Very hard to find on gray mark. but I will get it. Everyone,do not judge MTi by a 1 try,test it properly.

Montabaco Intensivo is a classy fragrance that combines the freshness of citrus with the richness of leather. It is good refreshing sent it can be worn all year round. To me, the intense version is just more potent and potentially lasts longer although the original has great longevity. That's it really, I don't find anything else different. Scent: 9/10 Silage: 9/10 [ 3- 4 Feet radius] Longevity: 7.5/10 [ Solid 4-5 Hrs afterwards it becomes skin sent] Bottle: 9/10 Price: 9/10

Like it was said previously, not a niche smell but extremely high quality blend. Smells absolutely clean, fresh, non-offensive, and office-friendly. Should work great any time, any season. I dare to say, that's a blue fragrance for those who afford it. That said, it's a great option if you're looking for a compliment-getter juice. Tobacco is there, citrucy notes as well. On my skin it's not a champion of neither sillage, nor longevity. But smell itself compensates it.

Simply wow. Such a beautiful fragrance upon first sniff. True airy freshness and loads of grapefruit (although not listed). Soothing, citrusy and woody with the tobacco and easily recognisable iso e super. I expected to like it this, but didn’t expect to like it more than the original and am so glad that I tried this. Definitely worthy of trying out if you get the chance. There’s nothing like this type of freshness.

After 'millions' blind buys, i finally found my signature scent! I have tried a decant a couple of months ago, and now i have a full bottle! The smell....absolutely divine! Rich, warm, airy, a touch of tobacco and leather....the pure smell of richness! You don't wear the scent, the scent dominates/wears you, makes you confident, and unique! I would have liked it a little stronger....... For me is a 1000000/10!

This is a dna thats unique, theres no way around it. It might smell generic in the sense that you can describe it as just 'clean' and somthing your pop's would've worn, but it is indeed very complex. If you like clean, this is definitely for you. I'd also say that this is for men around and above 30 as its a pretty mature scent because of that cleanliness. Also its an all year fragrance. Easy wear.

I got a decant of this based on the urging of a reviewer below that said everyone should try this and I have to agree. Wow. This smells like a watercolor painting. I got in the car and my wife said ‘this is how a man should smell.’ Great performance. The mountain air gives it an artistic quality and the grapefruit brings it to life while the tobacco keeps it grounded.

This is a great classy gentleman's fragrance! I like this better off skin, on clothes it is so potent you need to be careful with the sprays! But off my skin it blends with my chemistry so well it really makes that leather and tobacco pop and it’s smoothed out really well with the florals, really well blended and very appealing from start to finish!

Very light and airy but still somehow very present smell. The sage note is something, that my nose had to cope with but eventually got over it and now I understand why this is so good. This is really not a safe blind. Weird thing is nobody comapred this to EP Bois Imperial yet, to me they are on the same vibe somehow despite the notes.

I quite like this. It’s definitely coming synthetic in a way, but I don’t mind that if it means increased performance and the fragrance is well done. The tobacco note is quite unique. My wife loves it too. I’m being told owning this and Montabaco Verano is redundant, so keep that in mind. And definitely sample first before buying.

i bought a decant, then an hour later bought the rest of the bottle from the shop. thats how good it is. Found my signature scent. Never imagined there would be a tobacco fragrance that is so fresh and airy. Somehow doesn't smell or feel synthetic at all. I'm not a man of many words, but this one jumped straight up to my #1 spot

Montabaco intensivo is so strange and unique to me. I get something very sharp from this fragrance and don't know is it a mountain air or tea leaf. First two days I was NO this isn't for me but from day 3 I started to like it. Got used to the sharpness I guess. I'm very close to order a bottle (new one is 88ml).

This is the absolute best fragrance there is. The longevity, the scent, the silage, this is so freaking beautiful I can sell everything else in my collection and only keep this and I would be satisfied. This is my signature fragrance now and when I run out of this I will definitely be purchasing another bottle.

This is my signature and lovely fragrance. It is airy, woody, green-tobacco, watery and there is also an old cathedral athmosphere in it. This is an exceptional fragrance. Delayed review - This one has grown on me and quickly scaling to the Top of fragrances that I enjoy more the others. I am not a big fan of the opening, but the airy mid to dry down is very refined and classy. This is office safe, versatile, office friendly and masculine leaning. Shukran Habibi!

Wow this is a seriously classy scent !!! First spray and I thought, oh is that it ?? Then after a few minutes it hit me ! It was fresh and clean with a tobacco undertone. I’m 2 hours in now and it is going strong !!! Fantastic again from ormonde Jayne, quality, quality, quality !!!! Love it x

forgot i hadn’t dropped a review on this , it’s a classy tea note done well, sillage is intimate and longevity gets better with its age. However for what the impression this scent is trying to convey it being “beast mode” would be an injustice, it’s intimacy is to be enjoyed with those close.

This is a fantastic perfume that has gotten me compliments every time I wear it. I don’t get any compliments with any other fragrance except a very few ones, and this works wonders on humid, tropical climates. The airiness, freshness and complexity is almost second to none.

Unique and elegant! I discovered it by mistake, and I plan to get a full bottle! The scent is so luxurious and high class, a soft leather mixed with flowers! I see it very unisex, just because of the flower's sweetness! Logevity and sillage above average! Such a hidden gem!

I really love how airy this and the OG smell. As someone that has both, they are practically the same. Light, long lasting, airy tobacco, with spicy cardamom tea in the air. Masculine leaning. Signature scent worthy.

maybe it's the alcohol kicking in, but this smells like a proper sugar daddy: molecular, blue, clean smoky, slightly chalky + a chain smoker's car seats. properly hot, properly rich, properly cool, properly kinky.

My favorite perfume of this brand and my favorite tobaco perfume. I love smelling it on others and love wearing it myself. I honestly prefer it on a woman. Not an overwhelming tobacco scent. Beautiful
