Gatsby 22

BRIDGING CLASS DIVISIONS & the passage of time, this scent brings together whisper soft musk, bergamot, tonka, vetiver & osmanthus in a way that reads "old-money/new-money". Opens with a soft citrus burst of multi-faceted bergamot supported by lemon & pink-pepper, that transitions into a heart of musky violet, orange-blossom & vetiver, all resting on a tonka- & soft-leather base. Some reminders of Heritage EDT Guerlain in the opening which read 'old money' to my nose, but the longer it dries down, the more it has reminders of CK One Calvin Klein and the decadent 90's. I'm quickly falling in love. Contrast to CK One Calvin Klein: It's hard to compare anything to CK One, as it's instantly recognizable, and these are different, but there is a similar soft, sweet musky approach. The longer G22 dries down, the more similar to CK One it becomes. G22 outperforms CK One's ultralight performance. Contrast to Presence d'une Femme MontBlanc: These are different, and PdF has a bolder approach, but on the skin there is a similar DNA. Contrast to Aqua Allegoria Bergamote Calabria Guerlain: These are different, and BC is more citrus-forward in the opening, but the longer it dries down the more BC smells similar to G22 & to CK One. Overall: Beautiful, unisex & versatile scent, with average performance. This is the perfect scent to wear for a soft, timeless vibe. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

This reminds me of something that I can't quite place my finger on. Perhaps it hints at more than one thing so it's throwing me off. Prada infusion d'homme? Maybe. It's soft and pleasant. I find it soothing. It's soapy with a powdery touch. I'm going to wear this a lot before bed. Don't expect a full day's wear out of this. You'll need to spray on a ton to get any kind of longevity out of it. It should really come in a big bottle since it's on the weaker side. Think of this as a really nice soapy cologne style fragrance that doesn't emphasize the citrus too much. Like all OJ fragrances I'm happy to own it. I'll just fit it to its best uses. (Short errands, lounging around the house, after showers/before bed, etc) I enjoy wearing evernia more plus you get a big bottle and it lasts longer than Gatsby22. I think evernia is the better buy imo. They're both worth sampling.

Citrus, orange blossom and vetiver predominate. Almost in a cologne-like way. But presented in a modern way. Personally, I have a great aversion to leather in a perfume. This has put me off trying the fragrance sooner. In this smell, however, leather is not perceptible. It gives the citrus something earthy and sparkling. Very nice. For me one of the highlights of this, already such a beautiful, perfume house.

A beautifully blended fragrance. A burst of Bergamot and Lemon with the absolute right balance of pink pepper. The flowers gently glow in fragrant whiffs. The dry down is a gorgeous musky vetiver that LASTS! Gorgeous everyday scent that evokes a seductive era. This is a FB must.

This is like a lighter version of Creed Erolfa. It has (so far) less projection, and moderate performance (to my nose, maybe not others'). Otherwise very very similar to Erolfa, note wise, and less aromatic. It’s really nice though, I love Ormonde Jayne House, but since I have Erolfa and it’s so similar I’ll probably swap this one.
